LORD FARIS ON FRANKEN: HIS INTEGRITY HAS BEEN CALLED INTO QUESTION

By Michael B. Brodkorb | August 4, 2008

Priscilla Lord Faris says she was a supporter of Democratic Senate candidate Al Franken earlier this year, for both political and personal reasons, until several polls showed him sinking in the polls, and a number of comments and incidents involving Franken came to light this year.

She is running as an alternative candidate for U.S. Senate for Minnesota on the DFL ticket, and is asking people to vote for her in the Sept. 9 DFL primary.

Several times, she said, Franken’s integrity has been called into question in the media, on if he was paying all his taxes, and all his workers’ compensation. Other items were polls showing the DFL front-runner down at 15 points or 18 points, at various times; a Washington Post poll that had him ranked fifth among 10 Senate candidates, now ranked him 10th.

After two years and millions of dollars, ‘you’d think he’d be a little further ahead in the polls,’ Faris said of Franken, on a stop Wednesday in Virginia.
Franken has lived in New York 36 years, and as a comedian and ‘Saturday Night Live’ writer, Faris said she didn’t find his humor, such as jokes against women and others, ‘at all endearing.’

The cultural gap between the East Coast and Midwest was larger than the 1,200 miles in between.” Source: Mesabi Daily News, August 2, 2008

Norm should be contributing to Lord Faris. Sounds like she is willing to hit a great deal harder than Norm could get away with.

The integrity of Democrats individually and collectively is always called into question. It’s just one of many tactics used to divert attention from that issues that affect all of us.

Poor Pris. Maybe someone should buy her a suscription to cable tv so she can keep up with the news.

I lost count, but I think this is the 16th time in two weeks that Lord Faris has had a post on MDE. Lord Faris is featured here more than any other topic. That’s not including being the main guest on the “The Final Word” radio show.

    Coleman/Faris ’08.

at least lord faris has the “guts” to go on a conservative talk show. franken refuses to debate even with in a left/neutral setting.

I am sure Al Franken is not afraid to go on a conservative talk show, but I am also sure his campaign staff doesn’t want to clean up the PR mess when Al tries to wrestle the host of the previously mentioned show to the ground.

If Al Franken does win a Senate seat from Minnesota, I wonder how the whole “Angry Al” routine will go down in Washington. It may be a hilarious spectacle for many to watch, but surely more of an embarrassment for Minnesotans. :-/

ansel- ??? Al Franken has been on numerous, even national conservative talk shows.

Faris got on Brodkorb’s show because he asked her to be and she’ll take any media she can get right now, even if the obvious purpose of her being invited there was to slam Franken.

Prissy’s bowling alley ad proves that she is no more serious a candidate than Dick Franson or Ole Savior. It seems the cell phone she taped the ad on was one of those old ones from the early 90s. And the editing SCREAMS Commodore 64.

But as long as she is willing to take shots at Franken, the right will help her beat and batter the party she claims she wants to save.

Truly a sad way for the Lord legacy to end.

And, of course, the purpose of every interview Angry Al(len) does isn’t for the sole purpose of slamming Coleman.

I have heard Angry Al on Michael Medved’s show once. Angry Al had to be physically restrained because he became violent.

Since announcing his run for Senate which shows has Angry Al been on?
