REGULAR PROGRAMMING RESUMES ON MINNESOTA DEMOCRATS EXPOSED
By Michael B. Brodkorb | August 14, 2008
While I’m still disgusted that Representative Mark Olson was endorsed by the SD 16 Republicans, regular posting will now resume on Minnesota Democrats Exposed.
I’m happy the Senate Republican Caucus has weighed in by communicating their support for Olson’s rival, Allison Krueger, and that Olson will “not be welcomed as a member†of the Senate Republican Caucus should he win in November.
I’m not done posting on Representative Olson, as I will be closely monitoring the race in SD 16. King and I will also be talking about this situation during Saturday’s radio show on AM 1280 The Patriot.

MDE deserves credit for the Olson post and calling it like it is. Standards do matter no matter what party. And credit to the GOP caucus. Quite a contrast to the way the DFL defends Franken and tries to bludgeon Lord Faris as a republican shill when, in fact, her family helped found the DFL and has over 50 years of loyal service.

Agreed.

I agree we need to keep folks accountable, but what exactly are we going to keep Mark Olson accountable for here? A bogus assault charge in a dispute that should have remained out of the courts? A charge which seems near immaterial when Mark’s wife Heidi endorses him as his loving wife? Are we punishing this guy for fixing his marriage? Maybe for embarrassing the party or district?
He HAS been held accountable, paid his debt to society, reconciled his marriage and family, apologized continually (what Democrat ever does that?), and done all he can to heal his relationship with those folks he represents. I’m just saying here that this all seems so ridiculously harsh… unless you’ve swallowed the media spin- hook, line, and sinker.

Say, Chris?
We’re Rebublicans. We expect our leadership to maintain the highest standards in their professional and personal lives.
If Olson has gotten his life together, great. He has my firm wish for success as a private citizen…but he has proved that he hasn’t learned a frickin’ thing.
If he wants to continue a career in politics, he’s going to have to go Democrat, ’cause we won’t have him.

(Yawn) Is it November 4th yet? I’m really waiting for this whole election cycle to be over. McCain – wins! Coleman – wins! Mark Olson – wins!

Whatever. Your show this week will probably just be ANOTHER repeat of your interview with Prissy.
If the state’s republicans can turn on a BPOU this quickly, what is to make any of the others think that their opinions still hold any merit?
