BRUTAL: LIBERAL BLOGGER REPORTS THAT SOME LOCAL DFL CANDIDATES HAVE REMOVED TEAM FRANKEN SIGNS FROM PARADE GROUPS; TEAM FRANKEN’S LIT NOT INCLUDED IN LIT DROPS

By Michael B. Brodkorb | August 17, 2008

Hal Kimball’s blog, Blue man in a Red district, is reporting that Team Franken’s literature is being left out of literature drops in the 6th CD.

I also found Kimball’s comment that “Franken will hurt local candidates” very interesting:

“You doorknock all over the area as well BJ. Are you not feeling an anti-Franken presence?

A lot of other good DFL places are feeling this as well. I’m not the only one reporting on this. Why do you think some local candidates have taken Franken signs out of their parade groups?

It’s 180 degrees different than 06. Koobuchar had strong coattails. Franken will hurt local candidates.” Source: Blue man in a Red district, August 14, 2008

Wow – local candidates have removed Team Franken’s signs from parade groups. Brutal. I strongly agree with Kimball that there is an “anti-Franken presence” among Minnesota voters.

Lord Faris could win this by default. How can the DFL be so lame as to endorse a loser like Al?

If Lord Faris does not win the primary, watch Al lose the election big time. I note that the Congressional candidates are now not distributing Al’s lit. What does that tell us?

Gee – there are some areas in Minnesota, that aren’t Franken strongholds.

    Who’da thunk??!?

I mean, there can’t possibly be areas where GOPer candidates don’t want to be associated with Norm “Smokescreen” Coleman, R=BushLapDog…..

Seriously. Who knew that Dean Barkley had a supporter, let alone a supporter with a blog.

If you read that site, he is just as down on Norm as he is on Al. And apparently he is infatuated with Dean Barkley.

I am going to go out on a limb and assume that Hal Kimball was in a coma for the better part of the 90′s, and as such, the Barkley show is new to him.

Actually, I was serving overseas in the military for the better part of the 90′s. Thanks for caring though…

Indeed, I’m down in Norm and have never drank the Franken kool-aid. Barkley is a viable third option for me.

Actually, Leroy – in the ’90′s, Hal Kimball was haulin’ a M-16 around and wearin’ the uniform of the United States Army.

If he wants to exercise his right to support Dean Barkley, more power to him. He’s a damn good man, and I respect him.

Hey, Hal – thanks for your service, pal.

  8. Michael B. Brodkorb Says:

Hal: I didn’t know you served in the military – I want to thank you for your service to our country.

  9. Hal Kimball Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 8:34 AM

Thanks Tommy! Thanks for your service as well!

Thanks Michael! 11 years Active Duty as an Infantryman!

[...] In the weeks before the DFL primary election, Franken’s literature wasn’t included in literature drops in the 6th CD. [...]
