EDITOR OF COOK POLITICAL REPORT: “COLEMAN IS CONTROLLING FRANKEN’S AGENDA”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | August 18, 2008

“Franken has addressed issues Coleman’s ads raised in ads of his own.

Shortly after a Coleman ad dinged Franken for ‘not paying taxes,’ Franken came out with an ad that said, ‘Instead of paying taxes in the states where (Franken) spoke, he overpaid taxes to the state where he lived.”

After a Coleman ad accused Franken of writing ‘juicy porn,’ Franken released his ad that said he wasn’t proud of his every joke.

Duffy said that’s an indication that Coleman is controlling Franken’s agenda.

‘He is responding to Coleman, which means that Coleman is setting the pace,’ said Duffy, of the Cook Political Report.” Source: Pioneer Press, August 17, 2008

What about the money from Ted Stevens’ PAC? VECO executives? Coleman’s utilities gift? Coleman’s under-market-value rent? Coleman’s lack of oversight? I think Franken was controlling Coleman on all those things.

Oh, and the most important one: Coleman’s actual record.

The defense of Al is weak. Lord Faris is gaining and could well beat him. Even DME is getting afraid that she may win.

Norm is dragging Franken around like a jailhouse punk.

Aaron….you may have forgot Coleman sent that PAC money back to Stevens, the room Coleman rents is a 10×10 room (which is hardly spacious)

look at what the libs think is important–a bunch of nickel-dime issues that only the far left libs think have relevance.

norm starts out as an underdog just being gop in mn. then add to that the general negative attitude toward gop. considering he is up in the polls at all is an amazing feat. the dfl would be fortunate if lord faris won, but i don’t think that will occur, but you never know. i was thinking of voting dem in the primary for her just to help make franken look worse than he already is.

with franken being a dunce when it comes to debating i would think norm will cream him in future debates unless franken again refuses to debate, as he has with lord faris.

look at what the ‘Cons think is NOT important–Ethical Matters that prove, once again, that GOP believe laws apply to OTHERS – not them. Once again, by avoiding Coleman’s ethical lapses, ‘Cons prove that GOP now stands for GreedOverPrinciples.”

Say, ansel? You’re claimin’ that ol’ Smokescreen is “only a little pregnant.”

Laws are laws; rules are rules, and once again ‘Cons show their contempt for them both.

    Great job!

We need guys ‘n gals like you do show independents and moderates the true face of The Small Tent Party.

    “Dear Friend,

Great news: the latest Survey USA poll says we’ve gained six points on Norm Coleman in just the last month – and last week, a Rasmussen poll had the race tied at 45%!

Now, polls are just snapshots in time. But this recent data confirms what we’ve been seeing on the ground all summer: Al Franken has all the momentum – and Norm Coleman is on the run!”
    Dinah Dale
    Finance Director
    Al Franken for Senate

Look at that spin. Somehow, I don’t think Norm is on the run.

Aaron says: “What about the money from Ted Stevens’ PAC? VECO executives?”

What about it? He donated it to charity.

    “Coleman’s utilities gift?”

What gift? Franken can’t lie attention away from his history as a tax cheating hate-monger.

    “Coleman’s under-market-value rent?”

Franken can’t lie attention away from his history as a tax cheating hate-monger.

    “Coleman’s lack of oversight?”

Franken can’t lie attention away from his history as a tax cheating hate-monger.

“I think Franken was controlling Coleman on all those things.”

Franken is controlling shit. Franken can’t lie attention away from his history as a tax cheating hate-monger.

“Oh, and the most important one: Coleman’s actual record.”

His record is sterling. Franken can’t lie attention away from his history as a tax cheating hate-monger.

Also, Coleman has a new ad out talking about energy independence.

    Flounder,

Since when do laws and rules matter to you? You’ve been defending a candidate that has little regard for either, and believes he is above both.

Once again, you are providing some good comedy on this Tuesday morning. I still think Michael lets you keep posting to show how truly ignorant the DFL is.

Keep em coming Flounder! I need the humor.

  11. Tommy Johnson Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 8:50 AM

Rash Dispstick, I’m not “defending” Franken’s tax situation; I’m just pointin’ out you guys are hypocritical and shameless for using republiCon Ron to criticize ANYONE for shoddy paperwork.

Rash Dispstick, I’m not “defending” Franken’s language; I’m just pointin’ out you guys are hypocritical and shameless dicks for criticizin’ Franken’s language when D*ck (cheney)in’ Cheney told a senator, in the senate, to go (cheney) himself and then went on Faux News to say it felt good and needed to be said. Cheney dropped the effenheimer in the senate, and you hypocritical bastards said nothing.

Rash Dispstick, I could go on, but WT(C)? Bootlickers like you could care less when your party’s leadership covers up for guys like Mark “What’s Your IM Name, Little Page?” Foley. God has a special beach reserved for sinners like you, “right” next to The Lake Of Fire.

  12. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 8:55 AM

I totally agree. Coleman HAS dictated the race thus far. But what that has done is it allowed Franken to fix his problems, apologize, and move on.

And what Norm is showing is that in the few exchanges where Al took the reigns, Norm is unwilling to take responsibility for his actions, so festering wounds remain.

  13. jay Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 9:21 AM

Leroy, in the Media when a story sticks around it is said to have legs. The stories on Coleman went out and nobody cared. No legs. The stories on Franken have stuck and Angry Al has yet to give any answers that the majority of Minnesotans find credible. Al’s stoties keep walking all over the place, same as his explanations.

  14. jay Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 9:25 AM

Tommy, you have called Norm a RINO and I agree. He does what your party wants about 50% of the time. My question is why do you hate him so much?

Second question you call him smokescreen all the time. Where does that come from?

  15. Wade Seeker Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 11:28 AM

Flounder see smoke all the time, it’s from his crack pipe.

  16. Swiftee Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 11:32 AM

    Say, Cheeto boy?

How do you manage to start making an asswipe of yourself so early? I didn’t think Burger King opened until 8:00 am….do you stash a few extra value meals under the matress to tide you over ’till mom brings down a fresh batch?

  17. Swiftee Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 11:36 AM

I heard that when Cheeto boy swings a golf club, mouldy french fries often fly out from the creases in the blob of goo he calls a body.

    ‘Sat so, Cheeto boy?

    Hahahahaha

  18. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 12:23 PM

    Swiftee-

We get it. You know nothing about politics, and so you come here just to make sport of Tommy.

Hows about rather than wasting all of our time, you simply create your own blog where you share your infatuation with Tommy, Cheetos and male genitalia.

Then the rest of us won’t have to waste our time skipping through your posts to see what actual people are saying.

  19. Swiftee Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 12:45 PM

    Say, Leroy?

Who ever told you that you or your asshat Democrat pals comprise any part of “the rest of us” on this website?

I don’t think I’m overstating things when I say that “the rest of us” would just as soon you not stop at skipping through my posts and just skip MDE altogether.

My God, “you people” are stupid…aren’t you?

    HAHAHAHahahahaa!

  20. Tommy Johnson Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 1:31 PM

My, my, Scrotee – you sure are a happy guy…

  21. Dash Riprock Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 2:02 PM

    Flounder,

You are truly a funny person, and you didn’t disappoint with your last rant. Thanks for the another laugh!

  22. Tommy Johnson Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 2:56 PM

It’s no problemo, Rash Disptick. You short-bussers are so easily amused.

  23. Swiftee Says:
    August 19th, 2008 at 7:45 PM

HAH! Mention stupid and Cheeto boy floats up like a turd.

    Say, Cheeto boy?

It’s almost 8:00…have you laid in a store of happy meals to tide you over for the night? You do know that McDonalds doesn’t deliver, don’t you?

I’ll send your mom to pick you up a few dozen when she finishes her shift on the corner.
