HILLARIOUS! DNC INVITES FRANKEN TO SPEAK AT DEMOCRATIC CONVENTION ON DAY THEY KNEW HE WOULDN’T BE IN DENVER
By Michael B. Brodkorb | August 22, 2008
According to the Star Tribune, Al Franken has now been invited to speak at the Democratic National Convention. The best part about Franken’s invitation is that he was invited to speak in Denver during the time his campaign staff had said he wouldn’t be in Denver, but rather in Minnesota.
This is from the Star Tribune earlier this week about Franken being snubbed:
“Franken spokesman Andy Barr said Franken will fly into Denver on Sunday night, in time for Monday’s convention opener, and will return to Minnesota the following day, spending much of the week at the Minnesota State Fair.” Source: Star Tribune, August 19, 2008
Click here for the complete story.
“Scooter” Barr made it clear that Franken would be in Denver on Sunday and Monday. Franken was invited to speak at the convention on Wednesday. The Democrats invited Franken to speak at the convention on a day his staff said he would be in Minnesota and not in Denver.
As I wrote before, it is very likely that Franken’s disturbing pornographic writings in Playboy and his vile and disgusting jokes about rape have made some squeamish over the possibility of Franken sharing the stage with leading Democrats in Denver. This is another embarrassing snub for Team Franken!

I’d like for you to please backup your morbidly obnoxious claim that the DNC intentionally made their decision to “snub” Franken.
You are seriously ridiculous.
Oh snap, you forgot the end part:
Oh, so was this an honest mistake, or a lie? Either way, I look forward to your corrected post.

It doesn’t really matter what the DNC had in mind. He obviously has sufficient funding to afford the airline reservation change fee if he wished to show his face on nationwide TV. But his opting for a week-long incarceration at the State Fair sort of confirms that FrankAl’s campaign has become a candidacy-on-a-stick. Initially appealing, but eventually indigestable.

Hey Aaron, I’m sure you were invited to your “friend’s” birthday parties that were conveniently held while you were out of town as a kid too… And I’m sure they’d have loved to have you if your schedule would have changed…
LMAO!
The DNC doesn’t want Franken to speak at the convention. Period.

As I wrote before You are a partisan hack, which has been proven with your lucrative ‘part time position/spokesman’ for the Radical Rights poster-child.

If the DNC wanted Franken to speak at the convention, he would be speaking at the convention. Period.
This is a non-invitation invitation.

The idea that the DNC would want Al Franken to speak at the convention is just plain silly. Why would they?? His one and only accomplishment in life is being- Al Franken. He’s never held office. He is, in all probability, going to be crushed in his current bid.
If you can’t see that the DNC is just throwing him a bone…you’re deluded.

Actually the DNC sent Al an invitation to speak via certified mail. Someone at the vast Franken compound signed for it, Al says he never saw it. Now it’s to late.

let’s hope franken changes his mind and stays in denver. double win: one shows franken leaves the state to be with national party rather than spending time with the “people” as he has previously stated; and, two, it highlights how norm stays in minnesota to work with the people rather than leaving to attend a national convention.
