MN GOP PRESS RELEASE: “REPUBLICAN PARTY OF MINNESOTA STATEMENT ON U.S. SENATE PRIMARY”

St. Paul- Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Ron Carey tonight issued the following statement regarding the results of the U.S. Senate Primary.
“Al Franken is the absolute last person Minnesotans need in the United States Senate. While Senator Norm Coleman continues to work across party lines to get things done, Franken offers Minnesotans nothing but polarization and extreme partisanship. In November, I’m confident Minnesotans will reject Franken’s slash and burn attacks and return Senator Coleman for another term.”

I should hope so. “Working across party lines” is NOT a positive for a Republican. It’s like working across enemy lines, when the opposition wants exactly the opposite of good policy, often simply because it is proposed by Republicans. Norm ought to be smarter than that.
