if you were to read/reread my earlier post, the theories I was talking about were the ones involving the sanctity of Norms marriage, and the paternity of the Palin baby, and not Rangel.

If Rangel is convicted of what is currently alleged then sure, donate the money to charity. But to give it back just because some republicans have and axe to grind? Well, that is just laugable in a case where the opponent is keeping equally/more tainted money.

What the Madia Campaign Spokesman was referring to has been left out; specifically, the donations Erik Paulsen received from very questionable sources:

The donations include:
$5,000 from a leadership PAC of Rep. Pete Sessions, who has held fundraisers at a Las Vegas strip club
$1,000 from Rep. Don Young, of â€œBridge to Nowhereâ€ fame and under investigation for connections to the VECO Corp.
$1,500 from Rep. Tom Feeney, who has connections to convicted lobbyist Jack Abramoff
$1,000 from a PAC controlled by Rep. Harold â€œHalâ€ Rogers, whom his own hometown newspaper called the â€œPrince of Pork.â€
There is a total of over $80,000 in question.

Erik Paulsen needs better help hiding stuff.

Leroy, what the hell are you talking about? What is a “theory of a few radical bloggers?”

For fuck sake, every major news outlet has run something about how Charlie Rangel failed to pay taxes on $75,000 of income, and his questionable business dealings… including his illegal use of a rent-controlled NYC apartment as a campaign office.

What “theory” are you talking about?

There is a pretty big difference here.

No DFL party leader, to my knowledge, has ever issued a press release supporting the theories of a few radical bloggers.

By Ron Carey issuing this release, he has put a face and a name on the guilty until proven guilty mentality of the republican party.
