At this point, the line of people going through the dozen metal detectors was 1 mile long – stretching all the way back to the entrance gate. Everyone had smiles on their faces. Beautiful crisp Minnesota day.

Pointing to cycles and trends will satisfy the report of some economic student but, it does not win political points.

Almost all our current economic problems can be traced directly to Government policy. Yet the Dems want more government to solve the problems that government caused.

I have never denied that he signed A document in association with the sale of the station. What I do question is if he had any knowledge of the Gloria Wise matter.

The people who were convicted of the swindle said he didn’t. The people who were able to buy the station as a result of his signing the paper said he didn’t.

So far, the only three people who say that he signed a document that contained the Gloria Wise information are you, Michael and Chestnut.

Pardon me if I am a bit skeptical of you three having more first hand knowledge of the situation than ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO WERE IN THE ROOM WHEN IT WAS SIGNED.

The economy is still growing. The market is huge, and even the toppling of several very large firms has only resulted in the loss of 7% of the markets value.

Some perspective: On Oct. 19th, 1987, the market lost 508 points…that was fully 24% of the market’s value.

Did anyone spend 1988 living in the forest, squatting over a fire in a loincloth?

Of course not.

So let the Democrats hang themselves with their own gloom and doom, woe is me babbling.

It is the Republican party that has the energy and the expertise to bring the American public to the realization that what they are reading in the lefty newspapers is nothing more than an extension of the “we’ve already lost” mentality thta the Democrat party has been touting for years.

It is the Republican party that will rally the American public to bounce back from these troubling, but not world shattering difficulties.

I Googled “Mccain economic plan bad” and rather than find a whole slew of partisan blogs and DNC releases, I found just about every media outlet ever to cover politics, from the Wall Street Jounral to Newsweek to the Washington Times with articles about how misguided Mccain is about the current state of the economy.

I suppose you think 0bama’s proposed tax plan is going to help the economy.

0bama is not a smart, articulate person. Is 57 states the kind of smarts you’re looking for? Is “uh, um, uh..ahhh, um..ya know, I’ve always said..um, uh…” the kind of articulation you’re looking for?

He does have a vision though. It involves turning the USA into socialist shithole full of brownshirt community organizers living off government dollars.

It’s too bad that Obama doesn’t fit either of those qualifications. We’ve seen him without his teleprompter. He sounds pathetic, not articulate.

We have spent eight years without that, and I will be damned if I am going to sit back and let a tottering old fool who proclaims from one of his 11 homes that the economy is sound to convince me that intelligence and vision are not things that we should demand from the leader of the free world.
