I finally watched the video. How exactly are they justifying it is a false ad? As I understand the video, they claim the amendment did try to take money from a golf course and throw it into the GI Bill, but, because the amendment was voted against by many democrats, the ad is false?

It also says as true he cut vets benefits by 10% (like a lot of other stuff).

The only fact they I think challenge is the property tax increase where they cite a contrary analysis.

If there should be context to these vote, Paulsen should provide it. His big press release on the topic was completely void of anything but vague accusations of misrepresentations of his record. And, during the debate Paulsen completely punted when given the opportunity to explain how his record was misrepresented.

Lawn signs and billboards will not win this race for any candidate. Voters are much smarter than that.

Can anybody explain why Erik didn't use the time Ashwin yielded to explain how his positions were "misrepresented"?

And why does Erik keep saying "I voted for the bill, without a doubt, I voted for the bill", when that was already established?

"Oh, BTW PlyDim. Have you seen the beautiful Paulson\McCain\Coleman sign display on Hwy 55"

Actually no, I haven't. I also haven't seen a single Pauslen sign over by Wayzata except for his paid billboard on 394. I, however, see 10s if not hundreds of Madia yard signs.

Ignorance fits you well.

Before anyone responds to Cheeto boy, consider who and what he is.

An annoying, dumpy little man with a big mouth that you would deal with in public by using the back of your hand.

Ignoring this pathetic little twerp is the internet version of a bitch slap…I suggest using it liberally.

Oh, Cheryl...I gave up discussing issues with Democrats a long, long time ago.

Now a-days I'm just in it for the laughs.

When they start rejecting comic book candidates like Porn-O-Rama Franken, Keith X Hakeem Ellison, Betty! McCollum & their assinine ilk, I may be tempted to give it a try again.

You're not real bright are you, CherylP?

We are in trouble, not because of de-regulation, but because Democrats cannot help but use the regulations that exist to push their socialist agenda into the capital markets.

In fact, if Reagan needs to take a piece of this, it is the fact that he didn't sh*tcan the CRA and every other piece of socialist crap that every Democrat President since FDR ever signed into law!

"The Democrats were caught by surprise while right wing people raced to fill the media with their views."

Democrats are too dim witted to be surprised.

They are just flummoxed as to why so many people are laughing at them all of a sudden....no, it's not the drool.

HAHAHA.. McCain runs from debate.

Apparently McCain is more interested in being a senator than being president.

HAHAHA... Obama runs from responsibility.

Apparently Obama is more interested in being the president of a country in trouble than working across the aisle to solve the problem.

No problem, Swiftee....we'll take Carter and Clinton but there is enough blame to go around. I would refer you to:

http://northwestlaw.wordpress.com/2008/09/20/deregulation-a-short-history/

You need to take credit for Nixon and Reagan....

The current frenzy to deregulate dates back to the Nixon years, where talk began, although on a limited scale. Carter was a proponent of deregulating or loosening the regulation of a few industries, but Reagan made it an ideological theme. In order to do this he needed plausible support from the people whom the regulation was ultimately intended to protect. He used a variety of bumper sticker type slogans like “getting the government off our backs.” He created theatrical hypothetical villains and was celebrated for titling his lance at these windmills. He mixed this in with cutting taxes to create enough populist appeal to undertake the removal of many restrictions imposed by government

Reagan began the wholesale changes in the media. After several other tinkerings in 1987 Reagan abolished the Fairness Doctrine which had been a cornerstone of media regulation. It required media to air both sides of an issue if they presented one view. It was this that legalized, if you will, the Rush Limbaugh phenomenon. The Democrats were caught by surprise while right wing people raced to fill the media with their views.

I just want to make sure that my good friend PlyDim has enjoyed the sight of all that beautiful GOP vim and vigor right in the heart of his home turf!

The Community Reinvestment Act, which is emerging as a prime mover of the financial mess we're dealing with today, was passed into law during Jimmy Carter's watch. It was another Democrat experiment in social[ist] engineering foisted upon us.

Now we're reaping what your ilk has sown, CherylP; thanks a bunch.

The only polling demographic that would blame McCain for the financial mess that Democrats put into play in 1977 are the sorts of blithering idiots who couldn't find their polling place if their lives depended on it anyway....well, those and the dim wits that are going to vote Democrat again anyway.

Good thing Obama's not all that interested in being a Senator.

Apparently McCain is more interested in being a senator than being president.

You’re hilarious. You claim Tom Petter’s is some uber Republican donor, yet you tell us he gave money to Terri Bonoff. Last I checked she was a Democrat. You just disproved your point in your own post. Hilarious!

You also try to say that Republicans are tainted because a crook gave them money, and some how Erik is worse because the crook wouldn’t give him any money. You cannot have it both ways.

Actually, either point is totally moot, because we don’t even know why the Feds are raiding Petter’s warehouse, it could have nothing to do with him, or Perhaps his company just committed an Al Franken(failed to pay its taxes), we just don't know yet.

This was a really lame attempt on your part to change the subject of this thread. Let’s get back to the topic at hand, which is how Madia’s allies in the DCCC are a bunch of lying scum.

Speaking of Channel 5, it appears Joe Schmidt is in for a long day discussing the federal raid on his new employer, Petters, which we all know is owned by republican uber donor Tom Petters.

http://www.startribune.com/local/29687584.html?elr=KArksLckD8EQDUoaEyqyP4O:DW3ckUiD3aPc:_Yyc:aULPQL7PQLanchO7DiUs

Using the Charles Rangel argument, I assume this means that Norm Coleman will be returning the $11,200 in direct donations, as well as the $5,000 to his PAC that Norm has received from Petters? As I recall, any hint of guilt makes you guilty, so I would say having the feds raid your office is a pretty good reason for Norm to give back the money.

I would love to taint Paulsen with this same brush, but I can't because even a known republican supporter like Petters couldn't stomach his candidacy, so he gave his money to Terri Bonoff.

So WTF are you talking about dipwad? You're dishonest about the polls in the same post you accused someone of dishonesty. Tommy. You. Suck. Hard.
