MN GOP PRESS RELEASE: “WHY AREN’T YOU ASHAMED, AL?”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | September 27, 2008

St. Paul – Republican Party of Minnesota Chair Ron Carey today released the following statement today regarding Al Franken’s latest TV ad that features outrage over the subject of rape being brought into living rooms.

“Al Franken’s campaign ads are getting more ridiculous every day. He is now running an ad that is critical of other ads that address his jokes because they bring the subject of rape into our living rooms. If it wasn’t for people at NBC who found jokes about rape disgusting and indefensible, Al Franken would’ve brought his revolting rape jokes into living rooms across the country on Saturday Night Live. The question for Al Franken is, why isn’t he ashamed?”

Franken Ad: Outrage Over Subject Of Rape Being Booth Into Living Rooms. “ANNCR: Bring rape ads into our living rooms to smear Al Franken is a disgrace. ON SCREEN: ‘Bringing rape ads into our living rooms to smear Al Franken is a disgrace..’ / Rep. Mindy Greiling” (Al Franken for Senate press release, http://blog.alfranken.com/2008/09/27/new-ad-mn-women-outraged-by-smear-ads/#more-503, accessed September 27, 2008)

Franken Jokes About Raping Lesley Stahl. “Franken:  And, ‘I give the pills to Lesley Stahl. Then, when Lesley’s passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her.’ Or, ‘That’s why you never see Lesley until February.’ Or, ‘When she passes out, I put her in various positions and take pictures of her.’”    (“Comedy Isn’t Funny:  Saturday Night Live At Twenty—How The Show That Transformed TV Became A Grim Joke,” New York, March 13, 1995) Magazine

How many rapes were actually committed?
    Reported?
    Went to court?
    Tried?
…in Alabama (AL) last calendar year?

How does Minnesota (MN) compare and contrast?

Perhaps SNL should do a QB selling cosmetics to pit bulls.

A GOP Vice-presidential candidate just might get a few offers for cosmetics endorsements.

Libtards are never Ashamed, they justify every lie, theft, deceit and fraud with “it’s for the children”

ACORN is proof that the libtards could care less about the real will of the people, only about the agenda of the commiewannabies.

You can’t have shame unless you have a conscience.

Why isn’t Norm ashamed he’s done nothing for Minnesota in 6 years?

Well, PD, the answer is obvious – ol’ Smokescreen is desperately trying to deflect attention from RentGate and UtilityGate.

Coleman spokesperson Mark Drake claimed Team Smokescreen was being “open” and “transparent” about this scandal. Further, Drake promised he’d check with the campaign, and get back to the media about letting the media see an actual utility bill.

At the last CD3 debate, I asked Mary Lahammer, who was present when Drake made that promise, if Drake had gotten back to her, and if she had seen an actual utility bill.

The answers were “no” and “no”.

    No surprise there!

Team Smokescreen is desperately trying to divert attention from the fact Coleman is Minnesota’s most unethical politician.
