Canada has it’s people fleeing to our country to get their care. They sued to get private health insurance.

In England there are running jokes about waiting lines and that an animal can get an MRI faster than a human being.

It’s rationing! It takes away our choices! And the votes know it! That’s why Franken said in the debate he’s not favor of single payer care.

Too bad he won’t favor multiple options for Social Security that great ponsi scheme created by FDR.

you have hit the nail right on the head. everytime these libs start talking about all the great health care in canada and europe, i ask them essentially the same question: how many americans go to canada/europe for health care vs. how many canadian/europeans come here for health care?

i don’t know the precise answer, but the libs never respond. i would guess it is 100:1 favorable to usa.

you are correct that forcing kids into the public school is a terrible idea; thus, trying to emulate this model for health care would just be more of the same.

minnesota increased public funding from approximately $3k per kid in 1990 to $10k in the current budget, an increase of over 200% per kid while inflation probably went up maybe 25%. what was the result of all this massive increased spending?

minnesota has the worst record of blacks graduating of any state in the nation.

add to that is the fact that private schools educate kids for 2/3 the cost of public schools and have much better test scores.

now do you still think public vs. private is actually better?

Only an INsane person would want to put their healthcare in the hands of the same people who brought us this weeks economic crisis.

Most of Europe has some kind of Universal Health Care coverage. Dual citizens are sometimes eligible for coverage.

Single-Payer healthcare would be a fucking disaster. With so many nations having already failed at this experiment, there’s no excuse for any American to support a “single-payer” system.

No country with single payer has a better healthcare system than the U.S. Not one.

I’m sure it’s great to say that those countries pay for the healthcare services of its citizens, but efficacy, access (in terms of timeliness) and quality are all horse shit.

There’s no excuse for any American to support the idea of single-payer. Those who do are completely ignorant of the healthcare system.
