Hello Morons

ACORN is a criminal enterprise and Barak Acorn Obama is in this organization up to its eyeballs.

He was a trainer. He was counsel to them. He sued on their behalf. He got his partner Dick Durbin to get Fannie and Freddie money to support their operations (our money) and his campaign has given the;m $832,000 to "get out the vote" for Barak Acorn Obama.

Voter fraud in multiple states is one issue, but harassment of financial institutiions cannot be forgotten. These are the weasles that used the CRA to require banks to make loans they would otherwise denied. Barack Acorn Obama sued these banks when they would not make dumb loans. He won. We lost. Score = Us $>$1T. Meanwhile BAO was the second largest recipient of "campaign contributions" aka bribes from Fannie and Freddie.

How can this person be a serious factor in the election? The MSM won't expose him. McCain/Palin have to do it on their own.

More on his Socialist/Marxist affiliations later.

Yes, Lori Swanson signed it. It's a public document, available from the Legislative Auditor. Will somebody please write a letter to the Strib pointing this out? You have to sign your name, so be careful. They might even print it.

Officer - GREAT comment. One complaint, though:

You forgot to mention that the settlement was signed by then Solicitor General Lori Swanson. Yeah, that Lori Swanson - the one currently serving as Minnesota's AG.

Legislative Auditor Jim Nobles has made clear his intention to further investigate this dirty deal, and if and when indictments come down, Lori Swanson will likely receive one. She was knee deep in that deal from the beginning. Imagine that ... the sitting MN AG in a perp walk ...

Now I remember!!!!! he gave the money to acorn and they donated it to his campaign for governor- that was it.

A Minnesota government investigator has questioned whether former Attorney General Mike Hatch was out to aid a political ally in a 2006 settlement with a credit card company that steered nearly $500,000 away from the state treasury and toward nonprofit groups.

According to an inquiry by the legislative auditor made public Monday, Hatch's office agreed to drop its deceptive-advertising case against Capital One Bank that February in exchange for $749,999 -- a dollar short of a statutory threshold for automatic deposit of settlement funds into state coffers.

Instead, Hatch's office and the defendant were able to pick other recipients for two-thirds of the proceeds: the Minnesota chapters of the Legal Aid Society and the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known as ACORN. The state got $250,000 to cover its investigative costs.

Less than a month later, Hatch appeared as a gubernatorial candidate at a news conference to accept the endorsement of ACORN's Minnesota-based political action committee, which is legally distinct from the nonprofit group's official work.

loris- I believe the rule is if the penalty is under 250,000, then it is to the discretion of the ag where the money goes- it doesn't go to the state. Hatch would settle for $249,999 with companies and then he has donated it to acorn. There was one story near the end of his reign about this.

Did you know, or do you know that Senate District 16 is going to meet to reconsider the endorsement of Rep Mark Olson. It was reported on Ch 5

So Mike Hatch knowingly agreed to a settlement that he knew would allow him to direct the money to an organization that endorsed his campaign? And it cost the people of Minnesota $250,000?

Star Tribune, this is why your business is in the tank.

PlyDem - ACORN, is DFL [Deciet, Lies and Fraud} and voter registration fraud now so prevalant in 15 states. Yes HAtch directed $249,999.00 to ACIRN in a legal settlement when he was attorney general. He should have settled for the citizens of Minnesota for $250,000.00 so the money would have gone to the general fund to pay our states' bills, but he was very self-serving instead. Just a little revelation for a little mind.

I should say anti-democratic (small "d") organization, because ACORN is very much pro-Democratic (large "D") party.

Neither of the groups have any respect for democracy.

ACORN is doing two things. First, that criminal enterprise is engaging in activities that facilitate voter fraud, particularly by registering felons and registering individuals in multiple jurisdictions, they're creating tens of thousands of opportunities to case illegal ballots.

Second, they are engaging in activity that exaggerates the extent of support for Democrats. While this is definitively a Democrat favored election year, ACORN is setting the state for fraudulent claims of voter suppression when far fewer than the so-called registrants show up to the polls on election day.

The intent of both strategies is to undermine the democratic process and confidence in our elections.

ACORN is an un-American, anti-Democratic organization. No wonder Barak Obama paid them almost a million dollars for GOTV efforts.

There will very likely be races decided by less than 100 votes in Minnesota this year. That's why we should care. Even one fradulent ACORN creep can throw an election with margins that small.

"Who cares? We care you dolt. And every Minnesotan that believes in an honest and fair election free from voter fraud should care. Obviously you don’t count yourself amongst us."

Again, who the hell cares if they endorsed Franken any more than who cares when radical conservative wing-nuts endorse Coleman?

If you are outraged that Franken got an endorsement, then you should be absolutely outraged that McCain attends ACORN events.
