Coleman, according to reports, is actively seeking the NCRS chair. Yet, when he calls on them to pull negative commercials, they continue to release new negative commercials. Is Coleman ready to lead this group? Is he incompetent or insincere?

Chestnut, it's not surprising that Coleman can be bought; it's that he can be bought so cheaply.

"Well, I forgot to pay my rent for a few months, so I gave my landord some furniture."

ROFLMAO!!!!

Coleman is a deadbeat, by Walter's definition.

Cute that Tommy is still making clinging to that faux utility bill thing. That sure had legs, didn't it. LOL!

And what ad are you upset about against Harold Ford? Are you pissed off because it told the truth about him?

"And for those people who lecture Coleman is allowing this negative ad since the RSCC isn’t allowed to make commercials saying vote for Norm Coleman they have to attack Franken. But this was a positive commercial since it talked about issues just like Norm wants!"

Walter,

You are such a tool, and, a hypocrite.

Whether or not Franken is a deadbeat has nothing to do with issues. At best, it's an attack on Franken's qualification as a senator. That's no less an attack than saying Franken is too ugly to be a senator. When you go after the persona or qualifications of an individual candidate, that's a negative ad. If you go after their position on the issues, it may still be a negative ad (since it isn't about the quality of the candidate running the ad) but at least it's not a PERSONAL attack ad like the NRSC ad is (or Paulsen's newest ad is).

Face it, the same day Coleman and MDE are railing on negative ads, Team Coleman releases a negative ad. They are hypocrites. Just admit it.

Note, I say Team Coleman since it has continuously been the position of MDE that Team includes all of the third parties that support them. One only has to go back as far as the attacks against Madia related to what the DCCC was doing.

No one in Minnesota (except for some of the individuals on this board) are going to buy for a second Norm's sudden change of heart on negative ads, especially when people are running negative ads despite what he says.

Walter, by your definition, "A deadbeat is somebody who doesn’t pay his bills" - Norm Coleman is a deadbeat.

Coleman didn't pay his rent on time; he paid his electric bills late; and it sure looks like someone paid for his clothes.

By your definition, Walter, Coleman is a deadbeat.

Tommy:

A deadbeat is somebody who doesn't pay his bills. Or are you saying that somebody if they don't pay their bills are okay?

Plymouth:

No offense I wouldn't call this a negative ad. It said the taxes that Al Franken supports increasing and points that this is a man who doesn't pay his own taxes.

That's an issue ad. It didn't raise one of Frankens bad jokes, his ties to SNL, etc.

The problem is unlike the Franken and DSCC committee ads this one told the truth.

And for those people who lecture Coleman is allowing this negative ad since the RSCC isn't allowed to make commercials saying vote for Norm Coleman they have to attack Franken. But this was a positive commercial since it talked about issues just like Norm wants!

"These ads are not personal attacks."

Calling Franken a DEADBEAT isn't "personal"??!?

Maybe on your shortbus that's true, but once you get into the grownup world, Chestnut, you'll find out calling someone a DEADBEAT is, in fact, personal.

And I hope someone fires for effect at ol' Smokescreen's RentGate, UtilityCheat, and SuitCase too.

Remember that disgusting ad the 'Cons ran against Harold Ford?

I'd like to see some waitress with a phone saying: "Hi, Norm! Call me, will ya?"

Team Smokescreen's pals want to go negative, I say bring it on.

"Where did they get the footage–from a Franken anecdote about Paul Wellstone? You people are the biggest frauds in town."

That's a different ad, dip shit.

Moreover, that clip of him impersonating Paul Wellstone is just one of the many clips used to show Al Franken exploding and acting like an out of control asshole.
