TROUBLE BREWING FOR “NON-PARTISAN” SECRETARY OF STATE RITCHIE
By Michael B. Brodkorb | October 17, 2008
“Non-partisan” Secretary of State Mark Ritchie has scheduled a press conference for 11 a.m. to “discuss the integrity of Minnesota’s election system.” This doesn’t sound good for Ritchie, as my sources indicate that more than one media outlet is asking Ritchie for answers about potential voter registration problems.
Yesterday, Minnesota Majority sent Ritchie a letter about problems they found with Minnesota’s voter file.
“Minnesota Majority delivered a letter to Secretary of State Mark Ritchie today, asking him to immediately respond to the findings of an analysis of the voter file recently completed by the organization. The analysis identified many inconsistent and suspicious records within the file, including thousands of new registrants that voted in past elections, thousands of voters over 100 years of age and thousands of voters residing at vacant addresses.
The findings of Minnesota Majority’s research raise serious concerns about the integrity of Minnesota’s voter file. While there may be plausible explanations for some or all the apparent inconsistencies these findings should warrant a complete and comprehensive verification of voter records.” Source: MN Majority, October 16, 2008

This is an absolute outrage. It is crucial for the survival of a democratic society to have a honest and fair election process. Clearly Ritchie has dropped the ball and has failed as a SOS. There is not much Ritchie can say to restore trust when he is an extreme partisan hack who is aligned with Acorn.

He’s probably going to announce a partnership where the S.O.S. transfers official state lists to ACORN for fund raising purposes.

Why would ACORN be interested in the names of REAL people?

You might even say that such unqualified assurances from THIS Minnesota Secretary of state are “Ritchie Rich!”

Ritchie wants to introduce Chicago style politics to Minnesota where 4 out of every 2 votes cast will be for Democrats.

Minnesota’s top election official says there’s no widespread voter fraud occurring in the state.
Secretary of State Mark Ritchie says Minnesota’s election system is the best in the nation.
Ritchie was responding to a group alleging widespread problems with Minnesota’s voter registration records.
He says the system is designed to catch ineligible voters by crosschecking voter registrations with driver’s license records, sending postcards that can’t be forwarded to verify voters’ addresses and flagging voters who must prove their eligibility to vote at the polls.
Starting next week, Ritchie says his office will check the voter rolls using driver’s license records for immigrants on time-limited visas to find ineligible non-citizens who are registered to vote.
Minnesota law makes it a felony for an ineligible person to vote intentionally.
*Yawn*–how is this was breaking news and where is all the brewed trouble?

Of course it is sound…to a Democrat. The fraud helps them!

Too bad Katherine Harris isn’t in MN to take care of the election!

The fraud helps them!
And attempting to stop fraud is somehow “suppressing the vote” or “disenfranchising” voters.
These clowns live in a world where they make up their own definitions.

“Too bad Katherine Harris isn’t in MN to take care of the election!”
Indeed. At least with Katherine Harris, we would know that the election would be handled appropriately.
