VIDEO OF FRANKEN’S POST-DEBATE ANGER GOES VIRAL

By Michael B. Brodkorb | October 18, 2008

This video from Thursday evening’s debate of Al Franken getting angry has gone viral with almost 35,000 views on YouTube.

The video starts just as Mrs. Franken has rushed to the stage. The camera is fixed, so we don’t see Mrs. Franken until she gets to the stage. Franken clearly sees her, but he keeps engaging Coleman in a discussion, so she walks around the table. If this was just a polite conversation, Mrs. Franken wouldn’t have needed to rush the stage and break-up the discussion.

Franken, visibly upset, continues to get in Senator Coleman’s face. Franken is seen on film staring Coleman down as he finally recognizes that Mrs. Franken is trying to get his attention. I slowed down the final few second so you can really see Franken’s anger. Please note Franken staring at Coleman at the end. Franken was cleary upset.

Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for more information on this developing story.

I wonder if Al was askin’ Norm about Jeff Larson’s RoboCall plans?

Michael, once the finality of the elections reaches you, you’ll realize how far you’ve been reaching.

That video shows nothing of what you’re claiming.

You really need to get some sleep.

Michael, once the finality of the elections reaches you, you’ll realize how far you’ve been reaching.

The King of Reaching pretends to preach to someone else about reaching. Talk about a completely lack of credibility.

You’re so funny Mike– First your overblown attempts to portray Al Franken as angry– I mean, really, can you say “Al Franken” and not say “angry” in the same sentence? I’m genuinely curious.

And then, trying to say this video has gone viral. Har-har-har. Maybe you’re fighting off a cold and you’re having fever dreams about this video, but what’s actually gone viral is your former employer calling for a McCarthy-ite investigation into Congressional Democrats.

I know things are rough Mike, and this election day will probably be worst than the last, but don’t give in to delusions yet!

    Sean

Do you have a longer version of this , so we could see perhaps twenty seconds either side of the 10 second video clip? I think we could better judge the “confrontation” that way. Just put the raw video out, no fancy edits or slo-motion required. I’m sure you weren’t just given a 10 second video clip from the person that recorded the video. Share what you’ve got, what could there be to hide?

  6. Michael B. Brodkorb Says:

I know that I’m on to something when one of the kids behind MN Publius tries to tell me to move along.

but what’s actually gone viral is your former employer calling for a McCarthy-ite investigation into Congressional Democrats.

I’m sorry, I must have missed this. Did she introduce a bill? Did she call for a Congressional investigation (which it would have to be for you to not be lying).

All I saw was her calling for the MEDIA to look into the subject. Since they have no problem doing similar “investigations” when it’s against republicans, what’s there to hide? What are you afraid of?

  8. Maxus Says:

Franken is a thug..Hussien is a thug… they want to win by thugery. It apppears to be working. The video does not lie Seannie… Remember the old adage “absolute power corrupts…absolutely” The corruption meter will be off the charts wit hthis gang of miscreants. it will be fun to watch them all… the incredible shring Demoncratic party

  9. WhoKnows? Says:

You should have stuck with the still photos Michael. They looked worse than this video. In the video I can clearly see Frannie NOT rushing on the stage; more likely she was coming up to say “Nice job tonight Al. Now lets go talk to some undecided voters.”

  10. Yoni C. Says:
    October 18th, 2008 at 1:38 PM

Franken is a thug..Hussien is a thug… they want to win by thugery.

what exactly is Hussein trying to win these days? which Hussein are you talking about? King Hussein is a King, doesn’t need to “win” anything. and Saddam is dead, sorry dude no more thugery there.

Michael: Your desperation has no bounds.

What a stooge to think that clip proves anything.

    ha ha ha ha ha

  12. Yoni C. Says:
    October 18th, 2008 at 2:44 PM

michael, this is about as weak as it gets, ha ha. too bad you missed the previous 10 seconds, i think franken started off by punching Norm’s wife

  13. rainman Says:

    If you could only imagine.

  14. Barack McCain Says:
    October 18th, 2008 at 4:03 PM

Am I missing something here? Where exactly did he get in face face and was ut of control? Oh well, lets just investigate whether he is un-American or not, like Bachman thinks we should do.

  15. Dr K Says:
    October 18th, 2008 at 4:21 PM

Hey Gluteous Maximus, nice post, not!

” Remember the old adage “absolute power corrupts…absolutely””

So are you conceding the election? Lessee, Norm Coleman and George Bush are in office (re: power). Franken and Obama are not in office. So who is corrupted absolutely?

Keep up the good work, Brodkorb. At this rate, your credibility will be lower that George Bush.

  16. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    October 18th, 2008 at 4:58 PM

Ron Carey watching a video 35,000 times with his pants around his ankles is not how one typically declares a video to be “viral”.

To be viral, people have to be talking about it, which they are not.

  17. Wade Seeker Says:
    October 18th, 2008 at 5:42 PM

This must be how you and Flounder watch Obama commercials together?

“Ron Carey watching a video 35,000 times with his pants around his ankles”

  18. plymouthDem Says:

So what viral video is still leading the local news? Yeah, it’s not this one.

  19. cdeesend Says:

    Ugly Pants:

Why are you not talking about the $488,000 plus raised for the Tinklenberg campaign since the Bachman rant about liberals being “anti-American.” She has become El Tinklenberg’s best fundraiser. What a shameless bigot she is.

  20. Maxus Says:
    October 18th, 2008 at 8:12 PM

cd..how exactly is she a bigot?..can you cite exaples?.. mcarthy was right BTW…. yea i am conceding a Hussein win….corruption will be running amok then

  21. danbrome Says:
    October 18th, 2008 at 10:34 PM

    Bachmann is vile.

The good people of the 6th CD deserve better.

  22. DJZ Says:
    October 19th, 2008 at 9:35 AM

    Hey Maxus,
She’s a bigot because she is all too eager to be involved in scapegoating. First the blacks and poor are pointed out as the reason for the economic collapse-worldwide, gays are a threat to man-woman marriages, and now she wants to investigate Members of Congress to prosecute them for utilizing their First Amendment rights. Its ugly and unconstitutional.

[...] Brodkorb has some video of the altercation. It is the end of the post debate scream down from Franken and does not convey the extreme nature of Franken. [...]

  24. cdeesend Says:
    October 19th, 2008 at 10:54 AM

The rubber has hit the road, Republicans. Are you a Michael Brodkorb and Michele Bachmann Republican using demagoguery, scapegoating and name calling like “hypocrite,” “anti-American” and “urban terrorist.” Or…are you a Colin Powell Republican who just endorsed Barack Obama? In citing his reasons for the endorsement he stated, Obama’s “ability to inspire,” and said that he was “troubled” by Republican personal attacks on Obama, especially false intimations that Obama was Muslim and Republicans’ recent focus on Obama’s alleged connections to William Ayers.

Which Republican are you? It is time to choose.

  25. LakevilleDad Says:
    October 19th, 2008 at 3:43 PM

I fail to see why this is significant. I don’t mind seeing some emotion in members of Congress, and this footage is much ado about nothing.

  26. Cash N. Carey Says:
    October 19th, 2008 at 4:46 PM

We all know the Al can’t control his temper already. Just as we know that the lefties are usually sngry. Just look at their rants above. It is almost funny if it wasn’t so sad. We all know that Michele Bachmann is a true American patriot. Obviously some on the left have problems with the truth.

    God bless you Michele Bachmann!

  27. Maxus Says:
    October 19th, 2008 at 5:52 PM

Bachman is speaking the truth..tha tis not bigoted..unlike the constant smearing of Christian white Aericans.. Powell stands for nothing.heis an empty suit… he is less than a RINO…. he got tot his [postion via affirmative action…. he was not a good military leader… Joe Mccarthy was right BTW

  28. James Says:
    October 19th, 2008 at 11:54 PM

weeeeeeeak! but lets grant michael the assumption that people with anger problems are not electable. does that mean he is not going to vote for mccain? just wondering…

  29. J Says:
    October 20th, 2008 at 5:03 AM

Does anyone have a video clip of Al Franken on “Politicially Correct” back from maybe around 1999-2001 (can’t remember the date)? I do recall explicitly Franken describing how he considered a major perk of his celebrity status was that he could “date models and c*m on their faces!” It would be instructive for everyone to see some insight into the motivation of someone we are about to elect to the U.S. senate.

  30. deesent Says:
    October 20th, 2008 at 9:34 AM

    And the votes roll in:

    Bachmann Republicans are:
    Cash and Cary
    Maxus
    James
    J

    Powell Republican perhaps:
    LakevilleDad

    Good for you LakevilleDad
