WCCO’S ESME MURPHY CALLS BARKLEY ATTACK ON COLEMAN “THE LOWEST BLOW”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | October 18, 2008

“It’s been a slimy campaign by all candidates, and especially special interest groups, but this attack is the lowest blow. Independent candidate Dean Barkley suggested that Sen. Coleman might actually be criminally responsible for the current financial mess.”  Source: WCCO/Esme Murphy, October 18, 2008

Click here for the complete post.

UPDATE: I just noticed this article from the Star Tribune.  Barkley is backing away from his outrageous statement about Coleman.

But he is right. And heading quickly toward a second place finish with the incumbent taking third place.

I certainly hope that is enough of a sign to get him to quit elected politics and start working for Jeff Larson full time.

    FYI….he’s BarkLEY not Barkely.

If Barkley wasn’t taking more votes from Coleman than he was from Franken, this wouldn’t be an issue.

It aint about taking votes from either or, it’s about attacking the candidate that just took the lead

    Mike-

Not only does the story not mention the current leader, Franken took the lead weeks ago.

It sure looks like Barkely is not only beating ol’ Smokescreen up at the debates, Barkely’s beating ol’ Smokescreen with the voters, too.

Coleman is going to finish 3rd.
