FORUM COMMUNICATIONS ENDORSES COLEMAN; RIPS FRANKEN’S “UNDISGUISED DISDAIN” FOR COLEMAN

By Michael B. Brodkorb | October 20, 2008

“Temperament and demeanor are important in a senator. Coleman is a seasoned Minnesota politician, whose life of public service has been exemplary, whether as the successful mayor of St. Paul, a long stint with the state attorney general’s office or as a U.S. senator. He knows how to build consensus and work with bipartisan coalitions, both in and out of the Senate. He’s developed a sharp ear for the concerns of Minnesotans, and his constituent service is responsive.

Franken’s undisguised disdain for the senator is both unwarranted and revealing. The former comedian/satirist seems unable to leave the mean streak of his former work behind. Politics is tough business, but it need not be as unpleasant as the stuff coming out of the Franken camp.

The candidates and their surrogates have not covered themselves with glory regarding the character of their campaigns. But Coleman has tried to clean it up while Franken has opted for the low road.” Source: Fargo Forum, October 20, 2008

You’ve sunk to the level of relying on endorsements from Fargo, NORTH DAKOTA?

Looks like Democrats have never heard of Moorhead, MINNESOTA.

    PlymouthDem – Just to clarify:

Forum owns several newspapers across the state.

    Open PlyMOUTH, insert foot.

As long as Bill Marcil owns that paper, they will endorse every republican they can.

And, better yet, they got called out a few years back for forcing their smaller papers, (Bemidji, Wilmar, Worthington, Red Wing) to either endorse the ENTIRE SLATE of candidates who the boss in Fargo liked, or don’t endorse at all. So, you will see a lot of Fargo Forum papers skipping endorsements this year in what can only be seen as a political protest.

Got to love the liberal media, eh?

Franken taking the low road. Hell, he’s cleaned up his act for this senatorial skit. Franken has always been a low brow demagogue, that’s what makes him so appealing to the left.

I’d rather have a low brow demagogue than a corrupt Senator whose allegiances were with the president and the party before the people.

PlymouthDem has become pretty good at embarrassing itself lately. Nice going PD. You’re on a roll!

    Leroy

Pretty harsh criticism of Senator Kloubachar…
