Tell me if Madia plans to help solve our economic problems and produce jobs, then why doesn’t he pay worker’s benefits to his consultants/campaign workers? No health care benefits, no employment taxes, no workers comp, no social security… don’t his workers deserve to have benefits?

Madia: Ready to Lead

I did not see the whole press conference, but I did see a report on it on channel 11. Madia came across very badly. They had a clip of Erik saying that the visit just showed Madia would be a rubber stamp for Pelosi’s policies, and then they showed David Dillion reiterating the point by saying that Pelosi was just there to check on her 4 million dollar investment.

Madia looked terrible as usual. Why does Madia always look so squinty? Seriously do you know?

The press conference was very powerful!

Your last comment was nonsensical. I would say you are losing it, but I’m not convinced you ever had it in the first place.

Ashwin’s insistance that we balance the budget because “we don’t need to borrow $2.1 trillion more,” was met with loud applause from this mostly Republican audience of business leaders.

Republicans in the Third District are clearly fed up with the era of “borrow and spend” that was ushered in by the Bush Administration.

Ashwin Madia reminded the audience of his own Republican past and his belief that big problems can only be solved by continuing Congressman Ramstad’s tradition of working across party lines.

In Ashwin’s own words, repeated to voters across the Third District… “This is not about me…. It is about all of us, working together to get things done.”

Madia: Discipline and Teamwork

Madia then invites the biggest tax and spender in politics to stump with him, and he wonders why people don’t believe him when he says he is not going to raise their taxes. Unfortunately for Madia, the voters of the 3rd watch not only what a candidate says, but what that candidate said in the past, and what they do.

As opposed to Erik Pulsen’s ideological commitment to the “Borrow and Spend” economics of George W. Bush….

If you liked George W. Bush’s economic “policy” of borrowing from the Chinese so you can go shopping at WalMart, Paulsen’s your guy.

Why anyone would want to embrace the failed policies of George W. Bush is beyond me, but then again: Erik Paulsen is as an extremist rightwinger as extremists get.

I know one means you are about to win, and the other means you are Eric Paulsen.

Just don’t recall which is which.

But, when you are down in the polls, I guess you have to go into desperation mode. Unfortunately for Paulsen, it appears he is trying to steal the “Joe the Plumber” strategy from another sinking ship, Team McCain.
