Wow, its gotten so bad that Michael is now relying on student run polls that the director of the school's political science deaprtment admitted was flawed. Ouch. Please try to maintain some credibility.

Aaron, what I said was that the managers of the callers were students. The poll has directors that are members of AAPOR, the national organization for pollsters. They are very reputable. They also reported, if you followed my link, that when correcting for registered voters or for whether or not the respondent voted in 2006, they saw virtually no difference in the results.

This poll is managed by students from SCSU. It doesn't make the list of reputable polls.

That, and it's way outside every poll in October, including the Republican outlying KSTP/SUSA polls.

Haha. That poll is a little funny.

Is there any sense if all the Coleman endorsements are making a difference?

From:
http://www.sctimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081024/NEWS01/110240070

The poll did not screen for registered voters or eligible voters because of Minnesota’s same-day voter registration laws, he said.

People who said they didn’t know who they were voting for at this stage are likely not voting, he said.

That's a novel methodology. Was this some kind of class project?

509 responses, conducted over 8 days. Oh yeah, I'm convinced.

You guys are GREAT. The St. Cloud State Poll is more accurate than any DEM wants to believe, and in Gr8rMN Coleman is ahead. The overall values of those living in outstate are very different than those existing within the mainly DFL metro. Solid family values, and that is also why, on the Iron Range Franken and his cohort No Bama are both behind in polls. PT BARNUM SAID YOU CAN FOOL SOME OF THE PEOPLE SOME OF THE TIME BUT NOT ALL OF THE PEOPLE ALL OF THE TIME. I GUESS THE DEMS LIKE TO LIVE IN A WORLD OF DREAMS. Nov 4 will show the real opinions of those who live in this state, whether they are socialists or free marketeers and thinkers rather than blinded followers of a "fake messiah".

I love how you left out this gem...

“I think we’re a little on the low side for Democrats overall,” said Stephen Frank, political science professor at St. Cloud State University and the poll’s director.

Whenever the pollster second guesses his own results in the media ANNOUNCING the results, that is never a good sign.

SCSU poll? Hum. Never heard of it. I wonder who's behind it.

If the SCSU poll even counted, it'd be 3 out of 12 polls that show Coleman in the lead. The only other two that say that are SUSA/KSTP polls.
