MORE EVIDENCE OF MADIA’S “POSTIVE AND UPLIFTING” CAMPAIGN #2

By Michael B. Brodkorb | October 26, 2008

It only took a matter of minutes, but the pictures referenced in this post have been removed.   Bill over at Jack of All Trades blog found a few more “classy” pictures of DFL/Madia staffers at a VFW.

Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for more information on this developing story.

    Classy Michael,

Linking to a site that calls Madia staff members “street walkers.”

  2. PlymouthDem Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 12:16 AM

Just the Congressional representative I want… Erik Paulsen, a man who gives the thumbs up on personally attacking his opponents staffers by calling them prostitutes.

  3. mrw Says:

And “skanks” (check the filenames at Jack of All Trades).

  4. U with Madia Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 12:18 AM

This isn’t shocking. Madia has his own past, especially when he was a hot shot player at the U of M.

He also has a history of arrogance and over confidence.

Looks like team Madia is getting sloppy (or perhaps showing some true colors) just over a week before the election.

“a man who gives the thumbs up on personally attacking his opponents staffers by calling them prostitutes.”

Now you’re just a stupid liar.

Looks like Team Brodkorb is trying to change the subject from this.

Deleting comments? See you in your driveway in 45 minutes Broadkorb because I am coming over to kick your ass. I know them both.

  8. Michael B. Brodkorb Says:

Please keep the noise down outside, I will likely be fast asleep.

MBB has become such a joke. This is worth the win? A young woman who’s a staffer?
I can’t wait until next Wednesday we start putting you guys on the welfare rolls.

Hey, Michael – I read the following, and then wondered: is Pat Shortridge talking about you?

Realignment Anyone: Quality Info You Can’t Get Just Anywhere
    Friday, 24 October 2008 15:11

If current trends hold, this will be the second consecutive election Republicans do not defeat a single Democrat Senate incumbent or win a Democrat Senate open seat. The last time a party did not win a single Senate seat from the other party in consecutive elections was 1932 and 1934, when Republicans again were shut out.

Is this a harbinger of a realignment along FDR lines or is this merely a bump in the road following two decades of Republican success? The Right’s response following November 4th will give us a hint.

Following the 2006 debacle, many of us argued strongly for a fundamental reevaluation and beginning a true rebuilding process. I’ve made the case repeatedly that, in 2008, the same people doing the same things will not produce different results(emphasis added). That’s about to be borne out. This time, I hope we learn from our mistakes.<a href=http://newmajorityproject.org/home.html<(New Majority Project)

The reason I ask, is that your work sure seems like same shit, different day – and another tally in the loss column.

    From Paulsen’s <a href=http://paulsenforcongress.com/index.asp?Type=B_EV&SEC={988B9D2B-ACA9-49D0-937D-B4C8640D009B}&DE={15CBAD8C-024B-47A5-8500-AA153797F940}website:

Paulsen launches this bid after years of working in bipartisan fashion, across the aisle, to get results in the business world and in the Minnesota legislature.

“Failed ideas and yearning for the past stand
in the way of change. So do the politics of blame, division and partisan spin. Minnesotans are weary of this brand of politics. We need new vision, new energy and forward-thinking leaders who appreciate the necessity for change,” Paulsen continued. (Paulsen For Congress)

    Say, Michael?

    Didn’t you get the memo?

  14. Tommy Johnson Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 5:55 AM

    Gotta quit drinkin’ decaf….

  15. Emeraldking08 Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 7:27 AM

Ummmm, what is wrong with these pictures? Other than 2 candidates having their faces blacked out or crossed out on a board. I think the Madia goups should apologise for that one. That to me is childish. Other than that. What of these 2 young women? The one in the bar. Is she not old enough to be there? I don’t go to bars, because I don’t really drink, so is that what women wear at bars when they are young and attractive? What were they doing and saying? The one in this picture at the bar doesn’t look like she is doing anything wrong at all. But then again both of these parties are children and can’t get past calling each other names and blaming the other for their mess ups. They will do what they can to get elected and if it means demeaning someone then they will do it. I can say this about the IP. We may not have the paid staff like these to bought and paid for candidates but we do have class.

  16. Emeraldking08 Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 7:31 AM

    What is this bull?

Paulsen launches this bid after years of working in bipartisan fashion, across the aisle, to get results in the business world and in the Minnesota legislature.

This is a copy from above:

If he was or is so bipartisan Then why in 2005 did he allow our state government to shut down? That is not bipartisan in the least.

  17. Tommy Johnson Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 8:10 AM

    Emeraldking08, Paulsen’s a (cheney)in’ LIAR.

Always has been; always will be. Because despite his claims to the contrary, he’s the epitome of a partisan.

Here’s part of my July 13, 2005 Letter To The Editor of Eden Prairie News:

    ***
Politics is the art of negotiation and compromise – something Mr. Paulsen in his position of House majority leader clearly has demonstrated he cannot and/or will not do. Last year, he wouldn’t compromise and get the bonding bill done. This year, he wouldn’t compromise and get a budget passed, despite TWO deadlines.
    ***

As noted on a different blog, the only reason why Paulsen isn’t referred to as “The Weasel”, is because Coleman has that one trademarked.

  18. James Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 8:36 AM

is michael a high school student? if so, that would explain a lot. this stuff is completely irrelevant to people who have a serious and mature interest in following politics.

meanwhile paulsen is training his GOP poll watchers for election day, instructing them in a campaign email that their job is to; “1.observer 2. deter 3.challenge”. deter!!! paulsen is blatantly encouraging his volunteers to discourage people from voting! he is launching an assault on our democracy and michael is busy stalking madia staffers outside of perkins and on the internet. pathetic.

…… or are these gals too old for him ?

Madia for Congress: Hiring gorgeous women. :)

  21. DJZ Says:

    this post is lame.

  22. PlymouthDem Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 9:04 AM

It really causes pause to wonder just how badly Paulsen must be doing in his internals for Team Paulsen to get together and come to the decision that it’s a good strategic move to go after Madia’s young staffers and insinuate that they are hookers and “skanks” (actually, the later isn’t really an insinuation at all since that’s what MoN calls them) and that veterans are so shallow/gullible to welcome them in for only that reason.

I note you didn’t think to post any of the photos where they are talking positively about the vets.

Keep it up GOP! You’re really connecting with the voters.

  23. Dumbing it Down For the Left Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 9:20 AM

Not to point out the obvious.

    But. . .

If “this post is lame.” and not at all relevant, why did the Madia folks find it necessary to quickly demand the pictures be pulled?

If this was no big deal, the bloggers at Publius wouldn’t have to go to MDE to check out these photos.

  24. Swiftee Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 9:33 AM

Does the Democrat party pay workinggrrlz comp. for it’s staff skanks?

I’ve often wondered if there are tax stamps on the cigarettes they pay voters with, too.

  25. minnetonkacounterpoint Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 10:10 AM

    Madias positive and uplifting campaign
I didn’t know that how young people dress was a major issue in this campaign. Youre the first to mention it.

I prefer to discuss the issues Madia discusses: the economy, the environment, the war in Iraq, the decimation of our Constitution and civil liberties, the growing budget deficit and his well thought out ways to address these problems. Thats the positive and uplifting campaign message I get from Madia.

You, as a paid consultant for Paulsen, continue Paulsens gutter campaign with this sexist attack on entry level staffers.

Could you raise you head out of the gutter for the next 7 days (it’s too late for today) and discuss real, meaningful issues? If you know anything about them, that is.

  26. PlymouthDem Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 10:27 AM

Wow, swiftnuts have really elevated this discussion out of the gutter it started in.

  27. Swiftee Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 10:39 AM

Give me a break, DimWit. We’re talkin’ Democrat skankery here….there’s no chance for any elevation.

Speaking of gutter dwellers, I’m guessing Cheeto boy is not commenting ’cause he’s still tic’d that his suggestion for young boys was turned down in favor of a mannish skank.

  28. rainman Says:

This post is right up there with Carey, Michel, and Ramstad throwing out terms like “carpetbagger”, “not one of us” and “doesn’t fit the demographic”…the reason the staffer and vet look so good is they realize they support the “winning” candidate..the one that has served his country and understands and cares about our Vets..and will do something positive to pay them back for their service!

  29. Keep it Simple Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 11:20 AM

So… the vet in the bar with his arm around a chick a third his age wearing a short low-cut dress…..

…. .is smiling because he likes Madia’s health care plan?

  30. Stonewall Jackson Says:

  31. Stonewall Jackson Says:

I guess it’s good to see at least one woman in the DFL who did not participate in the “Unshaved Underarm/Feminist/Rod Up Butt walking subcaucus” at the DFL district and state conventions.

  32. Greg Lang Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 1:58 PM

In the old days there were “disco queens”, attractive women typically in relationships who “bait” guys with come ons basically for attention and free drinks.

The came to become extremely disliked by everyone, including most women. Most women, even those in relationships have ethics and single women who were actually trying to meet a guy but found men cynical after the “disco queens” dislike these “users” with a passion.

Media has apparently dumbed down “disco queens” to “VFW queens”. This has the making of a great TV ad run just before the election with faces blacked out and mention of the VFW’s recent anti-military, anti-soldier and anti Iraq positions.

  33. DJZ Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 6:00 PM

This woman didn’t ask for this, you assholes are a bunch small dicks.

Keep pushing it until someone does something to her or, she decided enough of libel and Brodkorb and these anonymous pussies picking on women because right now, that’s where the whole lying, stealing racist, anti-woman Republicans are.

    punks.

  34. DJZ Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 6:01 PM

    that would be ‘sue’ Brodkorb…

  35. Keep it Simple Says:
    October 27th, 2008 at 6:37 PM

Sue Brodkorb ?? …How about sue their employer Madia ?

Madia is the one paying young women to drink and prance around bars in short low cut dresses and snuggle up to men old enough to be their grandfathers…..

…and the young women themselves…. not Brokorb …. put their own photos on the world wide web…..

Skit writers – Saturday Night Live is on a new high and may be able to use your talents. Send in your resumes today.

The new administration – in 2009 – may not provide as much humor fodder as the Bush Admin has, so your creative talents may be needed.

And Amy Poehler is on maternity leave . . . that blonde skank is home learning the consequences of hanging out in too many VFWs.

VFW’s are a kind of like crack houses, without the crack, or the crackheads, or the lowlives, or the crackho’s, nana…so you could have given Amy some advice!
