For 2008, that’s likely Victoria Jackson’s highest paying gig right there. What was her last big thing? Being on celebrity Biggest Loser in 2005?

What a typical elitist thing to say by an arrogant DFL snob. I sincerely hope my grandkids will get a chance to read this intelligent statement that Aaron just made.
What a choad.

Have any of these actors/celebrities worked in the past decade? Also, are they really celebrities if you have to write their name on the screen?
I also question Michael’s sense of humor. Hilarious is a strong word for something that produced at most a mild chuckle…

First the Franken employees who were stiffed out of their workman’s comp insurance by Stuart Smalley opposed Franken
then the 17 state tax collection bureaus trying to collect overdue taxes opposed Franken
then the citizens of Minnesota (the sensible ones) opposed Franken,
then the liberal newspaper press opposed Franken,
and now even Hollywood is opposed to Franken.
It just keeps getting better and better.

You Democrats act like Franken is some big time celebrity. What has he done other than sit in a radio booth and spew hatred over the last several years? I couldn’t name a movie the guy appeared in.
October 28th, 2008 at 11:34 AM
Franco, Ratzenberger’s voice is in every single Pixar film produced.

…as “Aaron” sits in his parents basement posting anonymously on some blog, making minimum wage and plastering cream on his zits. I’ll bet Jackson makes more in a week than he makes a year at his job pushing donuts and gas at SA at 5 am.

It must have gotten overloaded. It’s up now.

What? Was Jared from the Subway commercials not available?
I bet they could do a second ad with him, Nicole Ritchie, the girl who played Punky Brewster’s friend and Joey Lawrence.
That would really show people how in touch with today the modern republican party is.

These folks have 2 things in common:
They are more famous then Angry Al
They are more qualified to be Senator then Angry Al.
October 28th, 2008 at 12:44 PM
Hilarious and very effective – shows how well thought of he is by his former peers. What an A-hole!!!!
Aaron – quit dedicating your post to a bunch of guys – it’s not acceptable on most sites. Keep it clean please.
October 28th, 2008 at 12:50 PM
Oh snap, Aaron. You got me!
October 28th, 2008 at 1:40 PM
Aairhead is over here trolling for traffic again.
Pffft.
You turds are really pathetic.
October 28th, 2008 at 1:56 PM
I don’t even know half of the people in this ad. Seriously, it’s the NRSC strategy to pick up a couple of nobodies and have them say the exact same message?
October 28th, 2008 at 1:57 PM
… and the one guy anyone will know is repeatedly cast as the lovable moron.

Yeah, “overloaded”….with crap.
Wow, a liberal nutjob AND a Christophone, too.
October 28th, 2008 at 2:48 PM
Christophobe. Not sure what a “christophone” is, maybe a cell with a direct link to heaven.
October 28th, 2008 at 2:56 PM
Ummmm, Victoria Jackson is a wing nut and borderline- well you judge for yourself. She says exactly what Chestnut, swiftee and Average Joe are thinking.
This is from her website:
http://www.victoriajackson.com
I don’t want a political label, but Obama bears traits that resemble the anti- Christ and I’m scared to death that un- educated people will ignorantly vote him into office.
You see, what bothers me most, besides being a Communist, and a racist (Obama writes in his book, From Dreams of My Father, “I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and and animosity against my (white) mother’s race.”) (Obama’s “religion” of the last 20 years is Black Liberation Theology. What is that? “It is simply Marxism dressed up in Christian rhetoric. But unlike traditional Marxism, Black Liberation Theology emphasizes race rather than class. It’s leading theorist is James Cone who says Jesus was black, African-Americans are the chosen people, and whites are the devil. Cone says, “What we need is the destruction of whiteness, which is the source of human misery in the world.” The McAlvany Intelligence Advisor), is that he is a LIAR. He pretends to be a Christian and he incriminates himself everytime he speaks about Christianity. To lie about being a believer in Christ is very dangerous. Lightning could strike him at any minute! But seriously, he doesn’t have a clue what the Bible says and yet he pretends to be a church- going Christian to win votes. That is sooooo evil.
All of those years playing a blonde bimbo, I wasn’t sure if she was acting or not. Question answered.
October 28th, 2008 at 3:00 PM
Oh, and Franken is not an actor as much as a writer. How many grammys do you have?
I would put all of the awards those fill-ins won to Franken and cut his number in half, he’ll still smoke them.
The biggest stars in Hollywood are with Franken. Brodkorb pointed that out last year.
Dennis Miller! You got Dennis Miller.
October 28th, 2008 at 3:21 PM
“The biggest stars in Hollywood are with Franken.”
Yeah, I’ve heard that Britany Spears uses a bust of Al to hang her wig on.
I’ve heard that Robert Downey Jr. smokes his crack out of a Frankenbong.
I’ve heard that Sean Penn has rechristened his Katrina kayak “FrankenFloater”.
I’ve heard that Micheal Jackson wears an Angry Al mask when he serves cookies and milk in bed to little boys.
They love Al in Hollywood.
October 28th, 2008 at 3:28 PM
Aaron;
Let’s see, Robert Davi has been working non-stop since 1977 and has 4 movies in post-production. I’ll give you Victoria Jackson, she has been doing a lot of TV episodes and Lifetime movies, but hey it’s still work. John Ratzenberger, as mentioned, has been working doing voice work, and likely making some serious coin, for years. Pat Boone, who is 74, has so much stinkin’ money he doesn’t need to work. That’s what happens when you don’t devote yourself to the excesses that so many celebrities do. You actually can accumulate wealth instead of running through it like you are throwing hundreds into a shredder. So yea, the Hollywood actors who don’t live and act like out of control celebrities, or think they are some sort of royalty who we owe fealty to, they support conservative values and recognize the danger of letting Franken anywhere near our checkbooks.
October 28th, 2008 at 5:00 PM
Swiftee comes with another drive by and misses.
Britney Spears is republican who came out in support of Bush during the war and was the only voice besides Brownie praising him on Katrina. She told us to shut up and let him do his job. Damn celebrities, last time we’ll listen to them.
Hey Mustank, Franken does have George Clooney, Ben Stein, Barbara Streisand, Aaron Sorkin, Larry David, Meg Ryan, Bill Mahr, Tom Hanks, Jason Alexander, Paul Newman, Ed Norton, Dan Akroyd, Robin Williams, Alec Baldwin, Kevin Bacon, James L Brooks, Jim Belushi, Michael Douglas, Michael J. Fox, Jane Kaczmerak, Lucy Lawless, Amy Madigan, Norman Lear, Kevin Kline, Garrison Keillor, David Letterman, Kevin Nealon, Conan O Brien, Sam Waterston, Heather Thomas and Meryl Streep- to name a few.
October 28th, 2008 at 7:41 PM
So in other words, Ziggy, you have a problem with Victoria Jackson because she truly, fully understands the problems with Obama and the real reasons racist, fascist Democrats like you selected the EEOC candidate.
October 28th, 2008 at 7:43 PM
“The biggest stars in Hollywood are with Franken.”
The biggest stars in Hollywood don’t have a brain to share between them. Besides, you’d toe the communist party line too (oh wait, you do)… never mind….
They’re support for the liberal agenda is directly tied to their ability to find work. The communist party that controls Hollywood doesn’t keep too many conservatives around.

Leroy says, “Goooooooooo, Al! Yoooouuuuur Pal!”
October 28th, 2008 at 11:09 PM
Listen Chester,
MBB posted this video touting your celebrities. I just wanted the readers to know where the real celebrities are in this race.
Victoria Jackson really thinks Obama to be the anti-Christ. I give you slightly more credit than that- maybe. She is wrong on the bible and wrong on her expressions of it.
I don’t really believe you think all of the communist stuff either comrade. Ooops.
You’ve been calling him a socialist for so long, now you’ve moved on to communist? You are following Victoria Jackson?
October 28th, 2008 at 11:40 PM
mn-pubic-lius.com must be boring as hell if all the crack-pot liberals are on this post.
I hate to tell you, but none of the celebrities DJZ have listed have stuck their weak little necks out to do a commercial for Al. Why???, because they don’t care about the washed-out hack. Tell Al to go back Air America and keep ripping of the Boys and Girl Clubs of America.
And if hear another dumb a$$ defend Frankin’s deliberate attempt to rip off multiple states by not apportioning his income to those respective state, I am going to go “Cliff Clavin” on someone.
October 29th, 2008 at 12:33 AM
Well I have to admit I was seriously disappointed to see Ben Stein support Franken, but I understand it, much like I understand several of my fellow members of the MN National Guard donating to the Walz campaign not because they agree with Tim Walz’s politics, but because they know Tim and feel, like I do, that he is a genuinely nice guy. He just is on the wrong side of the political fence.
As for the rest of the Hollywood faux royalty supporting Franken, DJZ’s list is pretty much a list of spoiled divas who expect us to kiss their lipo’ed supple arses because they can parrot a DKos diary. They confuse the ability to effectively play a smart person with actually being smart.
October 29th, 2008 at 6:54 AM
So are we back to agreeing who gives a shit on celebrities?
Mustang, Obama leads McCain in donations from active military.
October 29th, 2008 at 10:34 AM
“So are we back to agreeing who gives a shit on celebrities?”
Yes.
“Mustang, Obama leads McCain in donations from active military.”
How would anyone know, his entire campaign contribution roster is rife with fraud. I’m sure the Adolfe Hitler who donated to Obama checked the “active military” box too.
October 29th, 2008 at 11:58 AM
Spot on, Chestnut. Maybe I work in an echo chamber, but I only know one person in my building who has professed an intention to vote for Obama. That’s in a building with over 100 Soldiers, and yes we do talk politics. We are nearly universally pro McCain, and very anti media. Mostly because when we watch the news, we realize that the Iraq and Afghanistan they depict bears no resemblence to the places where we fought.
“An’ Tommy ain’t a bloomin’ fool — you bet that Tommy sees!” –Rudyard Kipling
October 29th, 2008 at 2:00 PM
That’s what you’re going to say- the contributions are fraudulent? Whatever. Problem is your candidate was too damn dumb to raise the money. Nobody wants to give to McCain. He’s not offering nothing new and they bought into that in 2000 and 2004.
mustang, keep working at it, you’ll be a good republican yet. Echo chamber, anti-media (minus FOX, Rush and Hannity of course). You’d have to be shut off from information if you’re supporting McCain.
I’m curious to what part of the wars are wrong? The rising factions in Afghanistan? The need for more troops in Afghanistan? The deaths in Iraq? The factions and ‘cleansings’ in Iraq? The non-connection between 9/11 and Iraq- which leads to the question why the focus there and not Afghanistan?
How about the timeline that Obama has been pushing that Iraq is OK with and Bush is now pushing? Or Bush Administration saying they will now sit down with the Taliban for talks?
Just curious.
October 29th, 2008 at 3:19 PM
DJZ;
McCain said he would accept public financing, and kept his word. He could have raised more but instead maintained his integrity.
As for what’s wrong with the coverage…I spent 14 months patrolling Baghdad and talking to Iraqis. That’s how you learn about a culture and a people, not from a hotel in the IZ. I could write for hours about what you don’t see, but people like you will never understand. Regarding non-connections…I have tried to explain this time and time again to people but some are just to short sighted and narrow minded to see the big picture. We are engaged in a war not against the perpetrators of a specific event, but instead a war against an ideology, islamic terrorists. While Iraq was not involved in the operational planning of the 9-11 attacks, Saddam indisputably supported Islamic terror groups. Foriegn fighters poured into Iraq after the liberation in order to fight us…you can’t argue that point with me, I was there and I saw it across the top of my front sight post…and quite cadidly if you are looking to kill terrorists wholesale, it’s helpful if they come to you.
Timelines? Great, as long as they are accompanied by victory. That’s the difference, leaving after a victory or leaving with a job half done. Honorable people leave when the job is done.
