MDE EXCLUSIVE: DFL DNA/FINGERPRINTS ON LEGAL COMPLAINT?

By Michael B. Brodkorb | October 31, 2008

I’ve been reviewing what U.S. Senator Norm Coleman’s campaign has called a “defamatory” lawsuit – lawsuit which contained baseless allegations that have made news in the 11th hour of this campaign.  I couldn’t help but notice a striking similarity between exhibit “A” and a ridiculous DFL chart which both used the same concept of a multitude of steps to reach a false allegation.

Please click the image above for a larger version. Note the use of the diagram, lines and numbers. The similarities between the document begs the question: were DFL operatives and/or representatives of Team Franken involved in the raising bogus, last minute claims in an attempt to steal this election? Are political motivations behind what Coleman’s campaign called a “defamatory” lawsuit”?

In a press statement released moments ago, U.S. Senator Norm Coleman dropped a bombshell: reporters for the Star Tribune had a copy of the lawsuit before it was filed:

“Let me tell you how this arose.  This is not about public documents researched by an investigative reporter.  No. Sometime last week, even before this Texas lawsuit was originally filed, a copy of these false allegations was delivered in Minnesota in an unmarked envelope to two Minneapolis Star Tribune reporters.” Source: Coleman for U.S. Senate Press release, October 31, 2008

I’ll repeat my question: were DFL operatives and/or representatives of Team Franken involved in the raising bogus, last minute, claims in an attempt to steal this election? Are political motivations behind what Coleman’s campaign called a “defamatory” lawsuit”?

Please check back to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for more information on this developing story.

UPDATE: This will remain the top post on Minnesota Democrats Exposed for the balance of today,  New posts will appear below.

What a joke. Those two charts have really nothing in common… but thanks for illustrating to your readers other ways that Norm Coleman is corrupt.

    spin…spin…spin..

Don’t you ever get dizzy Mikie….

Grasping at similar looking charts now…

    Wow you are really struggling…

  3. Aaron Says:

It’s bad news for Team Coleman if this is the “exclusive.”

    Aaron: You’re a liar.

  5. Average Joe Says:

Those two charts have really nothing in common…

Aaron must read his screen using braille. Any thinking person can see the obvious similarities.

  6. Chestnut Says:

Aaron, fascist coward is bleating again? Aaron, don’t you have some swastikas to go paint? You fascist idiot.

Lying, fradulent DEMOCRATS have the AUDACITY to preach bullshit change. First, the “change” they advocate is the same old socialist bullshit that’s failed everywhere it’s been implemented. Their “change” is more of the same.

Second, lying fradulent DEMOCRATS deliver nothing but more of the same old fascist dirty tricks that they are famous for.

    DFL: Dumb fucking liberals.

  7. Chestnut Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 12:25 PM

Beyond all the bullshit, these charts illustrate why DFL thinking is so completely and thoroughly fucked up. Wild imaginations plus delusions of grandeur equals the typical DFL asshole.

50 easy steps? Who are they trying to convince? A bunch of truthers? If they wanted to bring down Coleman with a “scandal” at the last minute they should have found one that doesn’t require an engineering diagram to explain it. Franken loses some large fraction of undecided voters with every line in that diagram.

  10. Chestnut Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 1:05 PM

More like “DFL Guide to Character Assassination in 50 Easy Steps.”

What a bunch of goddam lying liars.

  11. Swiftee Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 1:06 PM

I have some flow charts at home.

One shows how Al Franken knowingly and willingly pocketed hundreds of thousands of dollars that were bilked from a charity that serves underpriviledged kids.

I’ve got another chart that shows how Al lied about his shameful involvement in a scam that bilked $800k from a charity that serves underpriviledged kids.

Finally, I have one that proves this lawsuit has the fetid stink of Al Franken and his craven, DFL butt boys all over it.

Trust a leftist scumbag from New York to drag his scumbag tactics to Minnesota with him.

  12. loris Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 1:13 PM

Well we’re faced with on of two possibilities here:
    1. The lawsuit is a coordinated attempt by the DFL to use 11th hour sleeze tactics and lies to defeat Norm Coleman, including their intentional leaking of the lawsuit to the press BEFORE IT WAS A PUBLIC DOCUMENT. There are two ways the DFL could have gotten it BEFORE it was made public – by being involved or by stealing it.
    2. The plaintiffs are lying and this IS a politically timed and motivated lawsuit, as evidenced by their leaking it to the press BEFORE IT WAS MADE PUBLIC. There would be no reason to leak this prior to its filing other than to score points against Norm Coleman.

  13. Chestnut Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 1:25 PM

I have a flow chart at home too. It shows the direct line between Al Franken and the 18 states WHERE HE DID NOT PAY HIS TAXES FOR OVER 5 YEARS.

  14. Mike's desperate Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 1:26 PM

    Or 3….

Norm’s Guilty as his buddy Ted..

  15. Swiftee Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 1:43 PM

Say des? Are you trying to compete with Cheeto boy for the most dim-witted comment ever posted to MDE?

Well, you’re going to have to get in line, boy; Leroy has been putting in the hours himself.

  16. Gremlin Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 1:44 PM

Wow, both figures have lines _and_ numbers!

Obviously, this is evidence of nefarious cooperation between McKim and the DFL.

Michael, you’ve apparently never had a class in operations research. Otherwise you would recognize that both figures follow a standard shortest-path diagram style.

  17. Flash Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 1:47 PM

    Without comment:

    MinnPost:
Final thought: It’s possible McKim could be a Republican, and yet blame politics for the timing? After all, McKim may well have greater leverage in (now-undone) settlement talks in a campaign’s final days.

However, according to Frommer, McKim’s lawyer says “the timing was dictated instead by Kazeminy, who asked McKim over the summer to leave the company for 90 days — a period that was to end Friday.”

    PiPress:
    ==
in March 2007, Kazeminy called Thomas and, “in that conversation, Kazeminy told Mr. Thomas that ‘U.S. Senators don’t make [expletive deleted.]‘ and that he was going to find a way to get money to U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman of Minnesota and wanted DMT in the process.” According to the suit, Thomas asked McKim whether they should follow Kazeminy’s orders and McKim told him it was not appropriate and repeated that to Kazeminy.

“In this same conversation, Kazeminy told Mr. McKim that he [Kazeminy] would make sure there was paperwork to make it appear as though the payments were made in connection with legitimate transactions, explaining that Sen. Coleman’s wife, Laurie, worked for the Hays Companies (“Hays”) an insurance broker in Minneapolis, and that the payments could be made to Hays for insurance,” according to the suit. “When Mr. McKim made further objections, Kazeminy repeatedly threatened to fire Mr. McKim, telling him ‘this is my company’ and that he and Mr. Thomas had better follow his orders in paying Hays.”
    ==

  18. loris Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 1:53 PM

Well Mike’s desperate, that would be strange since even the plaintiffs say they are allegeing Coleman and his wife did NOTHING wrong.

    Nice try though.

  19. Tommy Johnson Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 1:53 PM

    …what Coleman’s campaign called a “defamatory” lawsuit”?”

    “Defamation”??!?

Then Norm should sue The Texan for defamation, and demand that The Texan amend his lawsuit to remove any and all references to Norm Coleman and Norm Coleman’s wife.

This should be no problemo for ol’ Smokescreen; we’ve seen ol’ Smokescreen has no problemo with filing lawsuits during campaign seasons.

The fact Coleman is NOT filing suit against The Texan leads reasonable people to believe there’s reasonable basis for The Texan including Norm Coleman and Norm Coleman’s wife.

Today’s Republican Party, the political arm and favorite party of Stormfront.
    —-

    Why the $75,000 number?
    Why this business guy?

Those questions has to be answered with more than just a dismissal.

I like the idea but, don’t think Norm is that stupid. The rent, suits and vacations are not direct cash payments and lie in that gray area that Norm likes to operate in. This is so in the wrong, its tough.

I think his Iranian friend is a douche and pissed off one of his business partners. His business partner probably noticed 75,000 to the insurance company Laurie works for, no doubt a sweetheart contract by the Iranian. The Texan saw this, and decided to smoke out his Iranian business partner as a shady in public with this. Laurie may be an innocent victim.

Norm is scratching from the fleas he’s got from laying with dogs.

  21. Swiftee Says:

America needs you and your non tinfoil hat wearing reasoning abilities. Now reasonably tell those bootlickers to go (cheney) themselves. Yeah!

    F*ck Yeah!

  25. sarah Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 2:56 PM

Methinks the Repbulicans protest too much. Why all the panic and naughty words if Coleman is squeaky clean? And why isn’t Coleman’s last minute bogus lawsuit considered a sleazy dirty political stunt? Did Norm and Laurie pay taxes on that $75000??? Wouldn’t THAT be poetic justice if this was also a tax evasion issue?

  26. Swiftee Says:

    Wow, PlyDim!

Thanks for hauling that over to us!

Now, you should print those documents out, underline all of the especially damning parts, make notes in the margins, carefully fold them into an unmarked envelope, take them over to Team Franken Headquarters and have the man himself poke them up you a** with Cheeto boy’s head.

Dip$hit blah, blah, blah. Makes you wonder how they treat their families when they get mad. Worse yet, how do they function in society. Hell, Obama has a 19-point lead. Do they hate a majority of Minnesotans too? Their neighbors, co-workers? Are they Anti-Minnesotans?

The stench coming off the Coleman campaign currently is really becoming pungent.

God I love the smell of a rotting republican campaign in the morning (or at noon, or at night).

How long until Hays throws Norm under the bus? They are in risk managment. They must see the risk in walking into court to face a guy with a lot of damning photocopies.

  58. DB1201 Says:
    October 31st, 2008 at 11:56 PM

Seriously, is “Note the use of the diagram, lines and numbers. The similarities between the document begs the question….” the best you can do? That is some minor league logic right there… about as credible as saying “Note the use of the letters c, r, o, o, and k in the name Michael B. Brodkorb. The similarities begs the question of whether he is….” Back to the drawing board for whoever writes the stuff on this website. These aren’t the first two association charts… won’t be the last. But thanks for making the picture about Coleman’s nafarious connections a little more clear. Senator Norm Coleman… what a joke.

  59. Swiftee Says:
    November 1st, 2008 at 12:05 AM

What we have here is two Republicans swearing in a legal document that Norm’s Republican friend Kazeminy bullied them into sending Norm’s wife’s company $75,000, in order to get it to Norm, because he didn’t make enough money as a senator.

With photocopies, canceled checks, and company documents. And related financial hijinx.

Republican mismanagement? Republicans ripping off shareholders for their own enrichment? Republicans lying? Republicans illegally slipping Norm some extra cash?

    Totally unbelievable… right? Right?!?

    Aaaaarrrggghhhh !!!!??!!!

What has happened to our wonderful victory? Our victory party is in shambles!!!

No! Vote for the chick! Vote for the CHICK! Ignore the lawsuit!

  60. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    November 1st, 2008 at 7:56 AM

Ted Stevens never asked for the construction work on his house, it just happened. The bottom line is, if the company received money fraudulently as a result of Laurie Colemans employment there, lines have been crossed and laws have been broken.

  61. Bob Says:
    November 1st, 2008 at 11:53 AM

The fact that Laurie Coleman’s employer received $75k is not in dispute. Why they received it and what happened after that is not clear.
If the Coleman campaign wanted to end this story, Hays could furnish evidence of what they did for DMT, and the Colemans could disclose how much $ Laurie earns from Hays and what she does to earn it.
My guess is they won’t. Allies will say they should not have to; opponents will say they can’t because no work was ever done.
    And the band blogged on.

  62. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    November 1st, 2008 at 11:55 AM

There was no violation of any laws or crossing of any lines.

That’s quite a statement. Care to back it up with anything other than your own opinion?
