CONGRESSMAN-ELECT PAULSEN’S FIRST PRESS AVAILABILTY
By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 6, 2008

This post has nothing to do with exposing Minnesota Democrats, but I stopped by Congressman-elect Erik Paulsen’s campaign office today to watch his first media availability since being elected to Congress on Tuesday. It was an honor to work on the campaign and I’m really happy for Congressman-elect Paulsen, his family and the residents of the 3rd CD.
I’ll have more thoughts on Paulsen’s victory next week on Minnesota Democrats Exposed.

I doubt Paulsen will get much attention until the Senate recall is done, although it doesn’t look like the networks were too interested in hearing him speak. I’ll give you guys credit, though, you did beat my guy by a much larger margin than I thought was possible. Let’s hope that Paulsen’s promises become reality…working across the aisle…it should be an interesting 2010. Bonoff would have been destroyed in the debates…she needs to stay in the Senate and not attempt another “peter principle”.

Stopped by to watch his first media availability? Yeah, right. More like stopped by to pick up your paycheck.
By the way, Brodkorb, Norm’s lead has slipped to 236 votes as of 8:50 p.m. Maybe we won’t need a recount after all, since surely Norm wouldn’t want to waste the taxpayers’ dollars on one if he loses by a handful of votes. He’s already told us that, and we all know that Norm is a man of his word.

Don’t you mean his first media availability of the election?

Did Erik speak, or did his handlers grab the microphone again?

Why are you still commenting Dan. Are you paid through Friday or something?
Madia: My lease is up and I’m moving back in with my parents.

I’m really happy Erik won. The guy is smart and does his homework. Some people think our Congressman needs to lead and inspire us. Maybe you. But for me, I need my Congressman to understand issues and represent me. I think Erik will do well at that.

Madia: “Maybe the gay marriage promise wasn’t such a good idea”
Madia: “Paulsen kicked my ass”
Madia: “Do you have a job application I can fill out?”
Dan are you and Aswhin still an item?

Here are a few top issues for Erik to take on when he gets to Washington:
1) Government is not a charity and it is not a security blanket for mismanaged companies.
2) Ban spending of the social security surplus
3) Keep your hands off their 401(k)s.
4) Reduce or eliminate “entitlement” programs.
5) There is no “right” to have your healthcare services paid for by someone else, and there never has been.
6) The idea that human activity causes global temperature fluctuations is a lie.

I’m paid until I get laid off I guess.

Kyle has got some serious isses and should seek help

So DD supports continued squandering of Social Security funds, trillions in handouts to corporations and irresponsible individuals, the theft of 401(k) balances, out of control growth of entitlements, government intrusion into all areas of personal life and the creation of major policy issues based on lies.
That’s a tough stance to take DD, and your welcome to it. But your a flippin’ idiot for doing so.

Dan Brome –
Do you think Madia will run again in 2010, or focus on something else? He has a bright future, just needs to live and work in the area more for independents to back him.
Erik’s voting record will make all the difference on if he can make this a safe seat or not.

Erik’s voting record, and his dishonest campaign do not bode well for him representing me and other moderate democrats. I can’t wait to see how inclusive he tries to be….
Ashwin is solid as a rock, but he may have bigger aspirations than the 3rd CD. I wish him well.
