Jason, I said "the GOP is lost". They have no credible leadership. Yes, three incumbent congressional seats were defended, thanks to the candidates and the RNC. No GOTV of any substance for Coleman or the Mn House candidates. Two elections in a row that the state party squandered their funds. I'm thankfull we only lost six republican house seats and were able to pick up 4 democrat seats. Just add that to all the ones we lost last time and the constitutional offices. I suppose the party will brag about the four picked up and remain silent on the six lost. Marty Seifert did a great job in spite of the party.

You think the MN GOP lost? They had a great victory this election.Except for the Obama vote which was part of the national"wave" they won the 3 truly contested congressional seats and also (apparently) the Senate race. The DFLers are the big failure, especially Franken who was too arrogant to ask someone who opposed him in the Primary (Lord Faris ) for help. A few of her 70,000+ votes would have made the recount unnecessary. She was ready to help and had even scripted a very positive endorsement ad for Franken but was never asked for help.He lost for the same reason he'd make a bad Senator...inability to work with anyone who disagees with him.

The Mn GOP is lost. I have just one question, how many seats has Ron Carey lost as the leader of the Mn GOP?

He seems only interested in having press conferences.

Well Dan,
Liberals have had tendencies to rig and steal elections in the past. I think a high-degree of vigilance and the full expectation that the DFL partisan S.O.S. runs this recount in plain sunlight is well warranted.

But if the recount shows Franken won, then it's time to mobilize. Actually, it's past time to mobilize.

The Minnesota GOP was absolutely defunct in this election. Ron Carey is a disgrace. This country needs more full-throated defense of conservativism, not more short-sighted capitulation of core issues to liberal whim and fantasy.

And we sure as heck don't need another election cycle where the GOP withers to DFL mis-information and lies.

To be clear, this may take a while, but it's time to clean house and cultivate a new generation of strong conservative leadership. And that new generation needs to DEMAND that its candidates conduct their public service with foremost consistency and clarity.

I've got no room in my party for crooks like Ted Stevens, or spineless pukes like Linsey Graham.

We don't need apologies for beliefs of limited government and the ideals of self-determination. We need strong action to restore those values, and challenge the liberal orthodoxy that is rotting foundations of this once great nation.

If Coleman wins, he earned it. However, if Frankin wins, the Dems stole it.

Are you guys truly that ignorant?

Mike:

What's your thinking about the recount and current count. Does Coleman have his lawyers out? It seems strange that all the ballots their finding are narrowing Coleman's margin. We don't want Franken to steal this election like the Dems in WA stole the governor's race in 04.

BTW, congratulations to your guy Kline on his victory. I don't share your views of him, of course, but was glad to see he ran a more respectful campaign this time.

Mike,
Restoring a better future for this country is going to require action, now. It's clear that the national GOP and the Minnesota GOP parties have neither the talent, will or ability, at this moment, to oppose the burden of socialism that is guaranteed to be pressed on this nation in the next two to four years.

I have a good congressional representative in John Kline. However, I'm interested in knowing if there are any conservative groups assembled or starting to come together in Dakota County.

I don't see any web sites for such groups online, or linked to from the MNGOP.com web site.

If nothing exists, I'm interested in getting something started. Specifically, to get an organization started that provides vocal support of conservative candidates (conservatives, versus Republicans -- they are NOT one in the same), and that can effectively vocalize the conservative ideals that make this country great.

If anyone knows of a group, please let me know.

Thanks.
