COLEMAN FOR U.S. PRESS RELEASE: “AS THE FRANKEN CAMPAIGN AND ITS OUTSIDE GROUP SUPPORTERS ATTEMPT TO UNDERMINE THE CANVASSING PROCESS, THE COLEMAN CAMPAIGN SEEKS TO PROTECT MINNESOTANS’ LEGAL RIGHT AND PRESERVE AN ORDERLY PROCESS TO ENSURE THAT EVERY LEGAL VOTE IS PROPERLY COUNTED”
By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 8, 2008

ST. PAUL – The Coleman for Senate Campaign released the following statement today after it became evident that Franken Campaign and outside groups attempt to improperly influence canvassing process.
Campaign Manager Cullen Sheehan:
“Not content to allow the recount process to move forward as prescribed by law, the Franken Campaign and its supporters are attempting a campaign of undue influence. The increasing questions about unexplained and improbable shifts in vote counts, coupled with Franken Campaign antics over the past 24 hours, compelled us to seek legal action to protect the rights of Minnesota voters. We had an election. Senator Coleman won. And we now must have a legal and transparent process conducted in the light of day – and that is our goal and intent.
“Late last night, after another unexplained shift in votes occurred when the Secretary of State’s Office closed, new ballots have suddenly appeared from a heavily Democratic precinct. These ballots have been unsecure since the election, yet the Franken Campaign is demanding they be stuffed into the ballot box, attempting to change a vote count that was already finished. Minnesota election laws provide specific rules for reviewing and counting ballots. Today’s legal proceeding is an effort to ensure that a transparent and orderly process be in place. The Franken Campaign should be joining us in this action, not seeking to push the process outside the bounds of the law.â€

What does it matter at all.
There is still going to be a recount. The canvassing stage is simply a legal obstacle required to reach a recount.

Stay classy, Norm.

Nothing like a liberal to defend the stuffing of a ballot box to steal an election.
Get some class, Angry Al.

WHAT, the recount is over. Gotta link!

The Franken Campaign are the ones that have been saying that all along, YOU, and the Coleman Camp are the ones disrespecting the process, turning their back on the law, and trying to get this election decided in the court of law instead of the polling place. Have you no shame or regard for common decency Senator Coleman and your surrogates.
Scratch that last line, your actions make it clear you don’t!
Shameless!!!!

I thought a decisive Franken victory would be the sweetest result of Nov. 4.
But I have to say that watching Norm crawl and scratch to no avail on his way to near certain defeat, well, I got to say this is getting so much better.

Hugh Hewitt said it all…”if it’s not close, they can’t cheat”. Well this IS close and they are cheating. 32 absentees in my trunk will not fly, but beware the worst: divining voter intent for the morons who cannot properly color within the lines of the “bubble”. DANGER WILL ROBINSON.
Jeez, should we allow the votes of people who can’t follow simple instructions to count. This is not a new system and it’s not complicated. If they can’t follow the rules…”fill in the circle beside your candidate”, why should their vote count? That seems like a spoiled ballot to me.
Back to my point, this is where the real mischief will occur. Watch who the judges appointed to review the challenged ballots are and you will likely know who will be in the Senate. Even with the supposed impartiality of appointing judges, there is no objectivity here. They are highly partisan. DFL judges will find ways to “elect” Angry Al. Pay attention.

Scott, the ony way Coleman will lose is if the DFL continues to lie and cheat. I guess that means that Coleman will lose because people like you can only lie and cheat. The truth is not part of your belief system.

Nothing like the sweet smell of desperation. Might as well throw reckless, unfounded claims of fraud around if it might keep your sorry self in office. But when you stand for absolutely nothing beyond the aggrandizement of your ego…
