MUST READ FROM THE BIG QUESTION/STAR TRIBUNE: “100 MORE VOTES FOR FRANKEN IN MT. IRON, PCT. 1″
By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 8, 2008

“The Norm Coleman campaign is saying that the 100-vote increase given to Democrat Al Franken Thursday night is highly suspicious, because the ballot machine printout of the vote results is timestamped two days before Election Day.
The 100 extra votes for Franken are from Mt. Iron, Pct. 1. That’s in St. Louis County, a Democratic stronghold.
Reporter Mark Brunswick has talked to election officials for Mt. Iron and the county, and here’s what they say:
The precinct officials called in the correct results on Election Night: 506 for Franken, 211 for Coleman. But the county incorrectly wrote down 406 for Franken, 211 for Coleman. And that’s what was reported to the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office.
Wednesday night, the Secretary of State website showed a 100-vote increase for Franken in Mt. Iron, Pct. 1.
The Coleman camp’s Cullen Sheehan says the timestamp on the ballot machine’s vote total reads: ’11/02/2008′ That’s two days before the Nov. 4 election.” Source: Star Tribune, November 7, 2008

I finally see that its going to print that Coleman has a staffer that was exerting undue influence and illegally operating inside a polling location. The series is nothing but a cover-up for the evidence that looks like Coleman ATTEMPTED to steal this election.
The Minnesota Secretary of State’s office says that if Coleman staffer Mahamoud Wardere was at Brian Coyle Center for most of the afternoon on Election Day, that Minnesota election laws were “potentially†broken. According to Beth Fraser, director of governmental affairs at the Secretary of State’s office, a translator can only be inside a polling place if they are assisting a specific voter. They cannot remain onsite, as we reported Wardere did, acting as a go-to interpreter.
Wardere, a paid staffer in Norm Coleman’s office whose title is listed as constituent policy liaison, was called in by two GOP challengers at the site after they told an election judge they wanted to bring in their own translator. Wardere remained onsite for at least four hours.
Minnesota statute 204C.06, regarding conduct in and near polling places, states that “no one except an election official or an individual who is waiting to register or to vote shall stand within 100 feet of the building in which a polling place is located.†Fraser says that if Wardere was there throughout the afternoon and not aiding an individual voter with translation, then it’s possible laws were broken. “That is up for the county attorney to investigate,†Fraser says. “And I do not have all the facts. But if that happened, then potentially laws were broken.â€
What’s more, the GOP conceivably violated election laws by at one point having three challengers as well as Wardere on site. After being asked by an election judge to leave, Wardere told the Minnesota Independent that neither he nor the election judge were certain if his role at Brian Coyle was to act as GOP challenger or translator. Wadere did not leave the building, and instead remained in the foyer or entrance of Brian Coyle Center for most of the afternoon. He later told MnIndy that he was only there to help voters with language issues. One GOP challenger, whose counterpart called in Wardere to act as their translator earlier that morning, refused to speak with MnIndy about allegations of voter intimidation or Wardere’s role at the site.
“Only one challenger from either party can be on site at one time,†Fraser says. And according to Minnesota statute 204C.07 regarding challengers, “[Challengers] shall not converse with a voter except to determine, in the presence of an election judge, whether the voter is eligible to vote in the precinct.†If Wardere spoke with voters while he was acting as a challenger, this is also a potential violation of the law, Fraser says.
As MnIndy reported on Tuesday, voters charged that translators on site were persuading voters to vote for Norm Coleman. According to another Minnesota statute regarding voter assistance, 204c.15, “A voter who claims a need for assistance because of inability to read English or physical inability to mark a ballot may obtain the aid of two election judges who are members of different major political parties.†And it goes on to say, “An election judge or other individual assisting a voter shall not in any manner request, persuade, induce, or attempt to persuade or induce the voter to vote for any particular political party or candidate.â€
The Secretary of State’s office responds to written complaints, Fraser says, which are then forwarded to the county attorney’s office for investigation. So far, the SoS has not received complaints in writing regarding conduct at the Brian Coyle Center.

Blah, blah, blah. Nothing but an attempt to deflect attention away from DFL’er MAKING UP VOTED for their guy. Shameless thieves.
Liberals have no conscience and the evidence continues to demonstrate that with every turn.

Maybe, just maybe a loyal MNGOPer subtracted 100 votes from the total.
They got scared because of the recount and “found” them.
Think about it, subtracting a few votes (100) from solid DFL areas wouldn’t be noticed and it would lower the statewide totals.
Norm knew he would be losing certain counties by big numbers, could votes have been subracted to affect the statewide totals??
He said,she said

It is a shame the dems are targeting Mahamoud Wardere and deflecting their suspicious acts his direction. Mahamoud is a very respected leader in his community and folks look towards him for advice on how to become involved in the democratic process. He is an honorable man and does not deserve these false attacks.

Well, it’s never too late to make your voice heard.
But among other things, this recount is an interesting test of the accuracy of the Kiffmeyer era voting machines.

Blah, blah, blah. Nothing but an attempt to deflect attention away from ol’ Smokescreen using a paid shill to steal votes for Norm Coinman, Minnesota’s most ethically challenged politician. Shameless thieves.
republiCons have no conscience and Norm Coinman continues to demonstrate that with every turn.

Danny Boy,
I know Wardere. He was a respected ‘up and coming’ leader. In 2000 he worked with the Minnesota Gore Team. In 2002 he worked organizing for Wellstone. When Wellstone died, he immediately went over to Norm. That respect that he had with about three of the tribes/clans, is gone. Amy’s people, who noticed this, have respect among the two dozen tribles/clans that are in the area. That’s where his trouble lies.
His ass has to follow the law like th rest of us- and especially if you are an employee of the people and your boss is on the ballot. WTF?
Several hours in the most heavy Somali precinct in the state, strong arming and lying to these new voters, is enough time to FORCE hundreds of votes for your boss.
You hypocrites know damn well if this was a Hmong speaker in Ham Lake, you would be loosing yor cookies.
Ol Mikey is two steps ahead of us on this one. He seems to throw out the CYA or distraction story ad nausea to protect the only real case of voter fraud. Intimidation.
Either way, Wadere broke the law. He wasn’t even in his home precinct. The republicans called him to the polls and then cut him loose when he gets busted. That was the purpose of Mikey’s post loudly proclaiming the Coleman staffer was on vacation time when no one asked.

@ pig face: 1.65 Million for “Impeach Obama”? There’s 2.45 million for “Impeach McCain”! I love when MNGOP lackeys start citing google searches…

I do not live in your state. However, I can NOT believe that there were as many citizens in Minnesota that actually cast their vote for Franken. Totally embarrassing for you I’m sure, but if this joke of a man actually wins the recount then it will affect the rest of the country.
Please, please, PLEASE do not let the Franken group steal this recount.
Can someone explain to me how in hell a total doof can garner the votes to cause a recount in Minnesota. I mean, he was not running for some lowly state position, but for the US SENATE for God’s sake!!!

@ Billy Mitchell…
Billy, you are a typical lib “girley man”. You need to grow a set and quit being such a pussie.
It’s way past time for men to keep silently putting up with weak freaks such as Billy. Run them out of MN into Canada were they belong.
