NARN “THE FINAL WORD” TODAY FROM 3-5 P.M.

By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 8, 2008

I’ll be on the radio today for a two-hour program from 3-5 p.m. with King Banaian of SCSU Scholars on AM 1280 The Patriot.

Before you listen to King and me, make sure you listen to the first four hours of the Northern Alliance Radio Network. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. you can hear Power Line’s John Hinderaker and Chad and Brian from Fraters Libertas. Mitch Berg and Captain Ed are on the air from 1-3 pm.

I encourage you to all to listen. Broadcasts can be heard on AM 1280 The Patriot, which has an Internet stream for those outside the Twin Cities. Brave Democrats and proud Republicans can join the conversation at (651) 289-4488.

UPDATE: Congressman-Elect Erik Paulsen was a guest from 3:30 – 3:45 p.m. I was a part-time research consultant on Paulsen’s campaign.

Mike I assume one of your favorite subjects Mark Ritchie is going to be discussed. I have an idea for two reforms that Mark Ritchie won’t do:

One, have staff members at the Secretary of State office call county auditors starting at one a.m. to get election returns. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE THAT DULTH DOESN’T HAVE ANY REPORTED ELECTION RETURNS UNTIL TWO IN THE MORNING AND THAN IT’S IN NUMBERIC ORDER ONE AT A TIME. IT LOOKED LIKE SAINT LOUIS COUNTY WAS TRYING TO CREATE THE NUMBER OF VOTES AL FRANKEN NEEDED TO WIN.

TWO, THE SECRETARY OF STATE CAN’T CHANGE THE NUMBERS OF ANY RACE IN A RECOUNT SITUATION ESPECIALLY PRESIDENT, US SENATE, GOVERNOR, OR CONGRESS UNLESS A SECRETARY OF STATE OFFICE PUBLICALLY ANNOUNCES IT AND THE EXPLANATION THAT THEY ARE BEING GIVEN. I got a feeling that Democrats are secretly trying to create a couple of vote every in the hopes to get Franken enough votes to win. After all two different precints have created a 100 votes for Franken with no problem!

    What do you think?

Maybe the Republicans in solid DFL areas subtracted votes from Franken in order to alter the statewide results.
25 here or 50 there and yes, even 100 wouldn’t be noticed in these areas.
Could be they got scared because of the recount and “found” them.
    It plays both ways Walter.
PS Holding any absentee ballot until the recount would be the fairest thing to do, and if they were received by election day, these votes should be counted

    Michael and King,
Come on both of you know that the recount can’t be stopped or called off by either candidate.
Minnesota election law calls for a recount when less than .05% separate the candidates.
    Play fair dudes

    HCDFL:

The recount can be called off if the losing candidate conceeds. Remember David Minge. He conceeded before the recount finished when he realized he couldn’t win.
