JBSaunders-

How is the SOS supposed to have any time to do the recount if he is also charged with keeping you personally in the loop on all decisions being made by his office?

I'm with Chris on this one. Step back, let the recount roll, and once completed, congratulate the winner.

the election is so close that a recount has to happen anyway, so why are we so worried about these fluctuations? if they are bogus then we will know it in a couple of weeks.

I'm confused by Coleman for Senate lead recount counsel Fritz Knaak's statement. He says that Coleman's victory has been confirmed by the ballots being counted a second time. That hasn't happened. I've been an election judge and clearly this guy doesn't know what he is speaking of. The ballots were counted once by the optical scanners, on election day, then the results called in to the SOS office. Certified results were due today, as mistakes are often present in calling in counts. This is the way it is always done. Once the results are certified, state law will trigger a recount because of how close the results are. The ballots have NOT been recounted yet. Wrong facts from a Coleman attorney...shocking huh? You republicans sure don't like facts...tricky things though, they trip up all your lies.
