GOVERNOR PAWLENTY COMMENTS ON THE U.S. SENATE RACE ON FOXNEWS

By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 12, 2008

This is a key exchange from Governor Pawlenty’s interview on FOX News:

“KELLY: What about these 32 ballots found in this guy’s car?  How do those get counted?

GOV. PAWLENTY:  As I understand it, and this is based on news accounts, he claims that even though they were in his car, that they were never out side of his security or area of control, so the courts allowed that.  It seems a little loose to me.

KELLY: What were they doing in his car?

GOV. PAWLENTY: There has not been a good explanation for that Kelly, that’s a very good question, but they’ve been included in the count pile which is concerning.” Source: FOXNews, November 11, 2008

    ROFLMAO!!!

    WT(C) does T-Paw know? I mean, after all, he’s only the Governor….

Michael, thank you for pointing out the utter incompetence that occurs, when there’s a GOPer in charge.

RepubliCons run on the platform “government doesn’t work” – then they get elected and prove it.

I think Governor Pawlenty has asked some qood questions, which should be answered. But if they were validly cast ballots they must be counted, no matter what the answers to those questions might be.

Let’s stay focused on what’s at issue here. Each of us who has a right to vote, has the right to have our vote counted. That right is independent of, and not affected by, any subsequent mishandling of ballots or any other procedural misstep by any election official.

Simple, basic facts, Hiram. Well said.

From what I’ve read about the “32 ballots” they were still sealed and their signatures matched registration roles. I also don’t believe they were all “for” Franken…

Still, I gotta wonder about the intelligence of an election judge who left them in her car for 3 days.

I have to wonder about a Governor, who one week later has to rely on news reports like the rest of us.

Tommy makes a valid point about this.

Weren’t the ballots found in a female election judge’s car?

One would think if T-Paw knows so few of the basic details, he should avoid going on national television and exposing his ignorance.

Maybe this is why he trails Sarah Palin by 63 points in the first survey of republicans for the 2012 presidential campaign…
