UNBELIEVABLY SICK BREAKING NEWS: TEAM FRANKEN LIED ABOUT STROKE VICTIM’S BALLOT BEING REJECTED BECAUSE OF HER SIGNATURE

By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 13, 2008

Folks, it doesn’t get any lower than this: Team Franken lied when they said today that an 84 year old stroke victim’s ballot had been rejected because of her signature.

###

“ST. PAUL – Al Franken’s campaign needs a new story to establish the need for a lawsuit it filed Thursday.

The Minnesota U.S. Senate campaign filed suit in Ramsey County District Court demanding a list of all voters whose absentee ballots were rejected in last week’s election. If Franken wins that ruling, his campaign officials said, other counties should follow.

The action is an effort to find votes in Franken’s challenge to sitting U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman, who leads by 206 votes out of 2.92 million cast going into a statewide recount next week.

A touching story the Franken campaign told at mid-day Thursday about how a Beltrami County women’s stroke-impaired signature led to her ballot being rejected proved flawed.” Source: Forum Communications, November 13, 2008

“The woman’s story was carried by news organizations in Minnesota and beyond.

Franken’s U.S. Senate campaign originally said an 84-year-old Beltrami County woman’s post-stroke handwriting did not match her voter registration signature, so election officials rejected her ballot.

The county’s top elections official said she told the Franken campaign that was not the case.

‘Beltrami County does not have one ballot that was rejected because signatures didn’t match and the Franken campaign was clearly told that,’ County Auditor-Treasurer Kay Mack said. ‘I don’t know where they are getting that from.’” Source: Forum Communications, November 13, 2008

Now that we know for a fact the Franken campaign is fabricating stories, it’s time for the elder statesmen of the DFL to step forward and call for him to concede.

Where is Wendy Anderson? Where is Walter Mondale?

It’s one thing to have a clean recount – I have no problem with that. But when the losing campaign is still campaigning, when they’re fabricating stories, when they’re CLEARLY attempting to fabricate votes, they’ve gone too far. They are embarrassing themselves, but most importantly, they’re embarrassing the people of the State of Minnesota.

Al Franken, for the good of the state you say you love, it’s time to end all this and go home. If you have one shred of dignity you will do this tomorrow morning.

I like this part of the Bemidji Pioneer story you link to Brodkorb:

And a state administrative law judge Thursday dismissed a Coleman lawsuit over a Franken commercial claiming that a watchdog group listed Coleman as one of the four most corrupt U.S. senators. The judge ruled that the group listed just four senators on its corrupt list, so Coleman would be considered one of its four most corrupt.

Did someone say, Lies and the Lying Liars?

Shame. Shame on this poor excuse of a man.

  4. Kyle Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 10:42 PM

As Al Franken has shown, a lie can travel half way around the world before the truth straps its boots on.

This stupid son of a bitch should be run out of the state right now. He’s a disgusting human being and has no business whatsoever demanding this states seat in the U.S. Senate, or any other role representing our citizens.

Al Franken is filth not suitable for the sewers of New York City. It’s time he join his fellow rats in Manhattan.

  5. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 10:50 PM

Fritz Knaak lied about the 32 ballots being in an election judge’s car.

    Are you all similarly outraged?

  6. Kyle Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:02 PM

If that’s true, Leroy, it’s pretty f’n stupid. But not as pathetic as manipulating a disabled senior citizen in a campaign to commit election fraud.

  7. Maxus Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:04 PM

Leroy..typical 3rd grade logic….. “well he did it too”..waaa..cry baby…2 wrongs dod not make a right… Franken is a pig…and you know it

  8. Woo Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:06 PM

It’s true, Kyle. Yet there’s no outrage from Mr. Brodkorb. Also, I’m shocked that there’s no notice that a judge ruled on Coleman’s absurd lawsuit about the CREW corruption list.

This article also doesn’t say the Franken campaign lied – but that they may not have done their due diligence in researching the story they heard. Which is bad, but not a “lie” or “unbelievably sick.” Talk about hyperbole.

  9. MinnyDem Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:09 PM

Fellow rats in Manhattan? And Norm would be from where?

Senator Franken. Get used to it Kyle baby.

  10. Kyle Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:10 PM

“Yet there’s no outrage from Mr. Brodkorb.”

Perhaps you didn’t notice the title of the blog, dip shit.

  11. Kyle Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:12 PM

“they may not have done their due diligence in researching the story they heard.”

Due dilligence such as heeding the word of the the county’s top elections official who told the Franken campaign that whatever they had heard was not the case.

Bullshit Woo. Franken is a piece of shit lying asshole. Nothing more.

  12. Kyle Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:13 PM

“And Norm would be from where?”

Grew up in Brooklyn. Spent 35 years of his adult life serving Minnesotans.

Versus Franken… born in NY, spent a couple token years in Minnesota, spent 35 years peddling fart jokes and partisan hate.

Minnesota’s senior Senator, Norm Coleman, still has a good ring to it.

  13. Kyle Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:18 PM

“The Beltrami incident is the only problem Franken campaign officials could produce.”

And apparently, the only problem they could produce is the problem that they fabricated out of thin air.

Lying liars and the lies they tell to steal elections.

  14. Kyle Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:21 PM

There are zero reasons why anyone should over-ride the expert opinion of the trained election officials who rejected absentee ballots for a number of illegalities.

There are zero reasons for the courts to re-write long-standing Minnesota Election laws. There are zero reasons to change the procedures in place to ensure a fair recount.

Franken is peddling more lies. Go figure.

  15. danbrome Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:28 PM

    Kyle… Your ignorance is astonishing.

    That is NO LIE.

  16. Kyle Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:29 PM

    danbrome,
Get fucked. You are a worthless turd.

Who the hell are you to call anyone ignorant, you stupid, intellectually lazy, dishonest jackass.

  17. Kyle Says:
    November 13th, 2008 at 11:31 PM

    danbrome,
You should give your fellow ass bandit Ashwin Madia a call. He’s got plenty of time on his hands.

Frankin is simply another sociopathic marxist pig!

  20. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    November 14th, 2008 at 12:11 AM

    Kyle-

If there are zero reasons why anyone should over-ride the expert opinion of the trained election officials who rejected absentee ballots for a number of illegalities, why are we doing the recount?

Seems they put it into state law for a reason. Why would that be, again?

  21. Gary Gross Says:
    November 14th, 2008 at 3:32 AM

Fritz Knaak lied about the 32 ballots being in an election judge’s car.

You don’t have proof of that. You certainly believe it but that isn’t proof. It’s an allegation, which is nothing in a court of law.

  22. Kyle Says:
    November 14th, 2008 at 8:17 AM

“If there are zero reasons why anyone should over-ride the expert opinion of the trained election officials who rejected absentee ballots for a number of illegalities, why are we doing the recount?”

The recount concerns legally cast ballots not illegal, rejected ones, dip shit.
