MN GOP PRESS RELEASE: “REPUBLICAN PARTY OF MINNESOTA CALLS ON LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS TO DISASSOCIATE ITSELF FROM DEMOCRAT FRONT GROUP”
By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 14, 2008

St. Paul- In advance of a press conference this afternoon with the League of Women Voters and Common Cause, Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Ron Carey called on the League to renew its commitment to a high standard of non-partisanship by disassociating itself from the Democrat front group Common Cause.
“The League of Women Voters has a proud and honorable tradition in this country of non-partisan civic engagement, but choosing to align with Democrat front groups like Common Cause threatens the integrity of that well-deserved reputation. We call on the League of Women Voters to disassociate from this well known partisan organization and to remain a truly non-partisan observer of the recount process set to begin next weekâ€
Democrat Front Group Common Cause Has Falsely Attacked Senator Coleman:
“‘This is a legitimate question to be asking in light of the fact that he is apparently renting from someone with an interest in his official actions as a senator,’ said Mary Boyle of … Common Cause. ‘It would be one thing if he was paying above market value and they could argue that it is included in his rent. But he is paying below market for this apartment. At a minimum [not paying utilities] would be a violation of the congressional gift ban. Certainly under no way is it okay for a member of Congress to be taking free or subsidized rent or benefits from anyone, particularly from someone you are working with.’â€Â (Huffington Post, August 12, 2008)

Now that the courts have ruled that Norm Coleman is, indeed, one of the four most corrupt Senators, do you really think anyone listens when he demands integrity from others?

Leroy – Are you on drugs today? The courts have not rules that Norm is one of the four most corrupt Senators. I think you’ve either gotten off your schitzophrenic medication or spent a little too much time puffing on the bud you grow in your basement.

Skydancer-
The courts ruled that the Franken ad describing Norm as one of the four most corrupt senators was not inaccurate.

Given the depths to which discourse in this campaign has sunk, I believe this makes it a true statement that Norm is the 4th most corrupt.
November 14th, 2008 at 3:05 pm
Well….they did say that Norm’s claims were erronious…so actually they kinda agreed with the people that did say he was the 4th most corrupt.
In the ruling (PDF), Judge Barbara Neilson writes:
All told, there are three senators identified on CREW’s list of the “20 Most Corrupt Members of Congress,†and one senator (Senator Coleman) identified on CREW’s list of “Dishonorable Mentions. … Because the statement made in the Franken advertisements accurately captures the “gist†or “sting†of Senator Coleman’s placement in the CREW listing of the 20 “most corrupt†members of Congress and “four to watch,†there is not probable cause to believe that a violation of the statute has occurred.
Now go…start spinning….

I’m happy to see that the GOP is fighting back and atleast attempting to bring to light that the
League of Women Voters is simply another corrupted front group for the very happy Marxists – some of which enjoying lying day after day on this site.

The courts ruled that the Franken ad describing Norm as one of the four most corrupt senators was not inaccurate.
And Angry Al’s never even filed a claim denying he’s a potty-mouthed, dirty-minded, carpet-bagging, porn-writing tax cheat. Must be an admission of guilt.

I challenge anyone sympathetic to the GOP to write a comment without calling a Democrat a liar.
You guys are taking your talking points even farther than Uncle Carl intended.
Your ignorance is astonishing.
Do you actually think that liars are only on the blue side? Seriously.

I challenge anyone sympathetic to the GOP to write a comment without calling a Democrat a liar.
Given that Democrats being liars is one of their finest characteristics, it’s difficult not to mention it every time we talk about them. After all, we’re trying to say something nice and that’s as good as it gets.
November 14th, 2008 at 5:20 pm
Your attitude bodes well for us all coming together to solve our nation’s problems.
Oh well, at least we have Democrats in charge so something can get done for a change.
November 14th, 2008 at 5:39 pm
Honesty and integrity are words not found in the Democrats vocabulary. As far as coming together, you can forget it! We saw how Bush was treated when he tried to extend the “olive branch”.
Obama and his cronies will be 100% responsible for what is certain to be failure. Can’t wait until 2012.

Hey Brodkorb, aren’t you concerned about associating with a serial drunk driver? I hear he hangs around some loser who lives in a garbage house in da Midway in St. Paul.
