I challenge anyone sympathetic to the GOP to write a comment without calling a Democrat a liar.

Given that Democrats being liars is one of their finest characteristics, it’s difficult not to mention it every time we talk about them. After all, we’re trying to say something nice and that’s as good as it gets.

The courts ruled that the Franken ad describing Norm as one of the four most corrupt senators was not inaccurate.

And Angry Al’s never even filed a claim denying he’s a potty-mouthed, dirty-minded, carpet-bagging, porn-writing tax cheat. Must be an admission of guilt.

Well….they did say that Norm’s claims were erronious…so actually they kinda agreed with the people that did say he was the 4th most corrupt.

In the ruling (PDF), Judge Barbara Neilson writes:

All told, there are three senators identified on CREWâ€™s list of the â€œ20 Most Corrupt Members of Congress,â€ and one senator (Senator Coleman) identified on CREWâ€™s list of â€œDishonorable Mentions. â€¦ Because the statement made in the Franken advertisements accurately captures the â€œgistâ€ or â€œstingâ€ of Senator Colemanâ€™s placement in the CREW listing of the 20 â€œmost corruptâ€ members of Congress and â€œfour to watch,â€ there is not probable cause to believe that a violation of the statute has occurred.
