I think that the instant that Ole Smokescreen trails by a single vote, he should “step aside” for the good of the people. However, that would be an act of courage that he is incapable of.

I know that if an absentee ballot I cast was rejected, I would know about it. And I would want someone out there to defend my interest in having my vote counted. In general, the fact of voting is a matter of public record.

I think it should be the position of everyone here that all lawful ballots should be counted, and that all reasonable steps should be taken to make that happen.

Flip the coin————there will never be a legitimate winner in this mess. Watch Al lose in the courts in Minnesota and ask the Dem-controlled Senate to seat him. There is precedent for the senate majority party to accept losing candidates and overrule the certified candidate. Norm will win in Minnesota and lose the seat on Capitol Hill.

Tim Pawlenty has now stepped in off the ledge, and is publicly supporting the recount efforts and the ethics of Mark Ritchie and the rest of the recount team.

Is Norm planning to throw him under the bus as a final desperate effort to save his seat? Given how pathetically underhandedly Norm has handled this recount, I bet this election goes to Al in a landslide if a revote were held today.
