Hey everyone, settle down in here while Feckless Jeffie is visiting...you really don't want to get him worked up or he'll squirt tears all over the place.

(It's that special time of the month for him, and he's just getting used to his honorary uterus...he's fragile)

"But Ritchie hasn’t criticized Team Franken enough and he probably won’t. That’s the unfortunate partisan side of Ritchie that Minnesotans are going to have to endure for the next couple of weeks."

Why in the world should Ritchie pay any attention at all to anything either the Franken or Coleman camps say? Except insofar as they pertain to the way Ritchie is managing the recount?

It's Ritchie's job to see the votes counted accurately, and if a vote is not counted, it's his job to provide a reasonable explanation, as to why not.

A Poem to Danbrome

No Hard Feelings
The election day is over,
The talking is done.
My party lost, your party won.
So let us be friends,
Let arguments pass.
I’ll hug my elephant,
You kiss your ass.

"The undervotes will be considered as a legitimate target. It will become the laughing stock of America just like what happened in Florida."

Of course they are. If the machines failed to count votes that in fact were counted, then they must be corrected. Does anyone really disagree about that?

I never found anything that happened in Florida very funny, and I don't expect to get a lot of laughs out of the recount here. The recount is required by law, and I fully expect it will be conducted in an orderly fashion.

Oooh, I see a fingerprint near Angry Al's circle on the ballot. The republican lawyers will object. The final decision will be made by Mr. Acorn Ritchie.

Ca Ching! Another vote for Franken.

Presumably, Norm has got people trained to challenge all undervote, also. I would also assume that if there is speck anywhere near Norm’s space on the ballot, they will claim there was “voter intent” to vote for passive Norm.

And if the Coleman camp isn't planning on doing this, then Coleman should fire everyone working for him and hire new people.

"He’s got people trained to challenge all the undervotes. If there is a speck anywhere near the senate portion of the ballot, they will attempt to claim there was “voter intent” to vote for angry Al."

The question for both candidates and their supporters is the same. Does the ballot show voter intent? If so, it should be counted. I would expect that both candidates would agree on that.

"Franken is drooling over the undervotes. Those are ballots were someone voted for Obama and for other Democrats, but skipped the vote for Angry Al."

I have to ask, why would Franken, or Coleman for that matter, drool over votes not cast for them? In recounting the votes, the only thing that matters is the votes cast for senate.

Minnesota doesn't recognize voter intent, so, unlike Florida, a ballot where the Senate race was left empty will be counted as a non-vote.

But thanks for trying to continue to fan the flames of bias and underhanded attacks with misinformation and half truths.

Should Norm happen to lose, he will do so fair and square.

Unfortunately, Ritchie will be counting the ballots that are questionable. He is in charge of the committee of 5 who will make the final interpretation on questionable calls.
