MN GOP PRESS RELEASE: “REPUBLICAN PARTY OF MINNESOTA CALLS ON FRANKEN TO REJECT ANY ATTEMPT OF DEMOCRAT SENATE TO INTERVENE IN SENATE RACE”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 17, 2008

Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Ron Carey at press conference regarding the U.S. Senate recount.

St. Paul- At a Capitol press conference, Republican Party of Minnesota Chair Ron Carey today called on Al Franken to call on the leadership of the Democratic Senate to reject outright any suggestion or possibility they will actively intervene to prevent this recount from going forward as it should under Minnesota law.

“I am here today to call upon Al Franken to do something important to convey a sense of understanding to the people of Minnesota that he, too, understands that this recount is just that – a recount. Al Franken has an opportunity this week to show any real sign of leadership or respect for Minnesota voters by calling on the leadership of the Democratic Senate to reject outright any suggestion or possibility they will actively intervene to prevent this recount from going forward as it should under Minnesota law,” Republican Party of Minnesota Chair Ron Carey said.

“There is a recount taking place in Minnesota on Wednesday – whatever purposes Al Franken has created to try to cloud the election results by going to D.C. and trying to appear as though he may have won – the fact is, Norm Coleman has now twice won this election. By making the decision to go to Washington, D.C. – and to appear in public with Senate Democratic leadership for the purpose of publicity – Mr. Franken has opened the door to this request and this expectation,” Carey said.

“Let’s keep Minnesota’s election decided by Minnesotans – not by Harry Reid or Chuck Schumer – or by the United States Senate period.  We voted on Election Day – let the results of that election be determined here, in Minnesota,” Carey concluded.

Excuse me if I find it funny that this is coming from the same guy who didn’t want the recount to occur in the first place.

This is just silly. I hereby call on Norm Coleman to reject any attempt of Republican Senators to adopt mandatory Socialism in pre-schools. If he doesn’t do so in 24 hours, I guess we know where he stands…

Hey, Leroy – next time your down by the river-drop in.

If Franken picks on 84 year old stroke victims, do you really think he has any integrity? What kind of person would do that? A liberal maybe?

First you trash Ritchie and that went no where
Then you question the honesty and integrity of our election judges and county auditors and that went no where.
That move will probably end up hurting Norm the most.
So you went back to Ritchie and suggested that he was “fixing” the election.
The suggestion of fraud was big news until T-Paw said there is no evidence of fraud by the SOS and that went no where.
So now we get your latest “brainf*rt” that the US Senate is ready to swoop in and give the election to AL.
Michael, you and Ron need a vacation.
It’s time to stop tainting the election process and let the recount decide who is Mr 43%

You can repeat it as many times as you need to hddcfl.

the reality is that the libtards tainted the elections many times over with ACORN and their support of Ritchie the libtard.

Alfraud is living proof that libtards are blind to their own BS.

Anything that Cranky Carey concludes is pure fiction, and best used for entertainment purposes only. Is he serious?

    So pitiful.

    Are you talking about Alfraud?

“and best used for entertainment purposes only”

No, I’m talking about Cranky Carey, although Al is quite entertaining too.

Could Cranky actually believe the slop he reads to us at the hard hitting press briefings?

You have got to be kidding me. Jusy how stupid does he think we are anyway?

    Wade-

I challenge you to find one example of ACORN participating in voter fraud in Minnesota. They may have been slow at delivering voter registration cards, but I want one example of a voter who voted fraudulently with their help.

    Dazzle me with your brilliance.
