By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 20, 2008

Why didn’t they include a picture of the entire ballot so we can see how the other circles were filled out?

They should photograph every questionable ballot and make it available for public view.

  2. Average Joe Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 11:22 AM

What we have here is Angry Al trying to disenfranchise a Coleman voter.

  3. Tommy Johnson Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 11:26 AM

What we have here is Average Joe with his usual “Ready, FIRE! Aim” response.

You are really one stupid (cheney)in’ dumb(cheney).

@ Pete – - due to the blatant dishonesty of republiCons, it’s reasonable to conclude the GreedOverPrinciples party wouldn’t show the whole ballot – the ballot showing all the other circles completely filled in.

  4. Joey Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 11:31 AM

Looks like an X thru it, but let’s see how the rest are filled out, it could very well be.

  5. Pete Wendell Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 11:33 AM

Tommy, didn’t you realize that pic of the ballot was taken from the “republiCon” run Star Tribune?

    Go bitch to them.

  6. Chestnut Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 11:52 AM

The rest of the ballot is irrelevant. This vote is for Coleman. Period.

  7. rick s Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 12:12 PM

It looks to me that the voter was trying to vote for Franken and just missed. Count it for Franken, next….

  8. Don Juan Delanooch Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 12:16 PM

Yeah! Tommy’s back defending America with his big, big shoulders while using those cute hilarious names and word plays he comes up with!

Those “(cheney)in’” and “republiCon” references are awesome! They don’t make you sound like a tinfoil hat wearing, holier than thou nutjob at all. Thanks, Tommy! You’re exactly what this country needs!

    Tommyerica!

    F*ck Yeah!

  9. Tommy Johnson Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 12:18 PM

    Bullshit, Chestnut.

The law says “intent.” If the voter filled out the rest of the ballot in complete and fully darkened circles, quesioning this ballot is legitimate – and if Team Smokescreen challenged a ballot similarly, I would support their challenge.

You, bein’ a bootlickin’ flunky, would not – which is more proof of you being brain-dead.

  10. Tommy Johnson Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 12:20 PM

    “…those cute hilarious names …”

Go with that, “Don Juan Delanooch”.

    Whateverthe(cheney) that’s supposed to mean…

  11. DJZ Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 12:21 PM

If the rest of the ballot is filled out with perfect ovals, then its probably safe to assume that this person didn’t want to vote for any of them.

  12. Average Joe Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 12:30 PM

You are really one stupid (cheney)in’ dumb(cheney).

Your mom wash your brown shirts today?

Nothing like defending the disenfranchisement of voters you don’t like.

  13. Tommy Johnson Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 12:33 PM

Average republiCon Dumb(cheney), you must of missed this one, so I’ll repost it just for you.

When you have problems with comprehension, ask the Nice Playground Lady during your recess, or the ShortBus Driver, on your way home:

    “Bullshit, Chestnut.

The law says “intent.” If the voter filled out the rest of the ballot in complete and fully darkened circles, quesioning this ballot is legitimate – and if Team Smokescreen challenged a ballot similarly, I would support their challenge.

You, bein’ a bootlickin’ flunky, would not – which is more proof of you being brain-dead.”

  14. Average Joe Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 12:42 PM

    The law says “intent.”

Hey Brown Shirt – if the “intent” of this voter was to NOT vote for Norm, why didn’t this guy fill in someone elses circle?

Anyone with a brain cell sees that this voter voted for Norm. Only someone wanting to manufacturer votes, or disenfranchise this voter, could concoct some bogus “intent” to not vote for Norm.

  15. Tommy Johnson Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 12:48 PM

    “Anyone with a brain cell…

Which, of course, leaves out you.

Since you’ve demonstrated you cannot follow the argument here, try checkin’ in with the Nice Playground Lady during recess, ya (cheney)in’ MORON.

Here is a link to 11 different challenged ballots, pretty interesting. Both sides are reaching at times.

  17. R Says:

    Re: BarbaraK’s link
1 – Not certain, but I’d give it to Franken
2 – Accept it. A thumb-print isn’t identifying unless you have something to compare it with.
3 – Al Franken. While I have some doubt over this (it may be just a stray mark and the voter may have intended to abstain from voting in this race), I would give it the benefit of the doubt.
    4 – Al Franken
5 – This voter is probably a practical joker. Don’t mess with the ballots. Count it for “Lizard People”.
    6 – Al Franken
7: Norm Coleman. My inclination is to treat a fully filled-in bubble as more significant of intent than a halfway filled in one.
    8 – Al Franken. See #7
9 – Dean Barkely. If you erase, that’s a sign you didn’t want to vote for that candidate.
    10 – Dean Barkely. See #7
11 – Reject the ballot. It’s really too hard to determine intent for this one. Is the voter underlining Franken’s name or is he crossing it out?

  18. Tommy Johnson Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 1:59 PM

    1 – Franken.

2 – toss it – a thumbprint is as identifying as a social security number.

    3 – toss it

4 – Franken – the “no” after coleman indicates intent.

5 – toss it – “lizard people” plus “Franken” equals two votes for the same office

6 – Franken – the check mark indicates intent

    7 – Coleman – his circle is complete; Franken’s isn’t.

    8 – Franken – his circle is complete; Barkley’s isn’t.

    9 – Barkley – erasing indicates intent.

10 – Barkley – his circle is almost completely filled in.

11 – toss it – was the line “under” Franken’s name, or through it>

  19. Average Joe Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 2:13 PM

    1 – Tax Cheat

2- Accept it (Brown Shirt’s an idiot)

    3 – Toss it.

    4 – Angry Al

5 – Toss it (might be the 84 year old woman, though)

6 – Toss it. Not even close.

    7 – Coleman. Easy.

    8 – Porn Writer

9 – The Little Bus Driver

10 – The Little Bus Driver

11 – Coleman. Not even close.

  20. BarbaraK Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 2:34 PM

    1 – Franken
2 – Accept it, but next time wash hands before voting.
3 – If all races were marked this way, vote for Franken, otherwise reject the ballot.
4 – Franken, no means no.
5 – Franken, they didn’t mark the circle for lizard people as they did in the race above.
6 – Franken, both marks are for Franken.
7 – Coleman, completely colored in circle.
8 – Franken, same as above.
    9 – Barkley.
    10– Barkley, same as 7&8.
11- Reject, both circles are completely colored in, and Franken’s name is partly crossed out, partly underlined, intent not clear.

  21. Chestnut Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 6:46 PM

    Fine Tommy,
Fuck the election. You’re right. A clearly filled out vote for Coleman doesn’t matter. Just install your favorite fascist and call it a day.

You’re an un-American fuck, Tommy. A completely un-American piece of shit.

  22. Chestnut Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 6:47 PM

The law does say “intent.” And this voter CLEARLY intended to vote for Coleman.

  23. Chestnut Says:
    November 20th, 2008 at 6:48 PM

Who s/he voted for in other races is IRRELEVANT.

  24. Yoni C. Says:
    November 21st, 2008 at 12:53 AM

I agree with two putt, you are an idiot average joe.

  25. el presidente Says:

    Here is a CHALLENGE:

How many thousands of voters cast ballots but, voted for NEITHER Coleman NOR Franken?

How many voters left the U.S. Senate portion of the ballot blank?

  26. Bob Boyd Says:
    November 21st, 2008 at 11:31 AM

To all here, Is there a name associated to this ballot? Contact the voter for intent! Was the x the same ink (is there a standard ink used when voting in Minnesota?) Was the x placed afterwards? (Who handled the ballot?)

Coleman doesn’t understand the adversary, Franken doesn’t understand much about anything(taxes in NY!) I would have voted for Barkley. Minnesota will get what it deserves!

  27. rich Says:
    December 22nd, 2008 at 6:07 PM

Franken is a parasite – - this was previous role with Air America!

He will suck the life out of Minnesota voters – - will Minnesota wake up before its too late?

He and his flunkies are subverting honesty and integrity in Minnesota – - – when will you guys wake up?
