COLEMAN’S CAMPAIGN PRESENTS “FRANKEN’S FRIVOLOUS FOLLIES” #2

By Michael B. Brodkorb | November 22, 2008

U.S. Senator Norm Coleman’s campaign had a press conference yesterday to highlight the ballots that have been challenged by Al Franken’s campaign during the recount. Taped on the walls in the room were the press conference was held were examples of Team Franken’s frivolous challenges.

Click here for a slideshow of the ballots challenged by Team Franken in Meeker County. After viewing the ballots, leave a comment on this post with your opinion on the validity of the challenges.

Check out The UpTake’s coverage of Coleman’s challenge ballots. Then leave a comment on this post with your opinion on the validity of the challenges.

Cool. Norm’s fighting fire with fire. Or stupidity with stupidity. Good on him.

    Michael:

Please post the ballots that Coleman has challenged also. That way, your premise that Franken is shameless can be mitigated.

    Thanks.

danbrome- The UpTake has already done the favor.

Gee, I wonder if my ballot is being contested also. I think I didn’t make any chicken soft scratches outside any of the ovals. And I know I used a pen the whole time and didn’t switch back and forth with a pencil.

Though, I had the most intolerable itch (I don’t know why)to cross out Franken’s oval (to show my disapproval)then fill in Barkley’s so hard that I wore and broke through the ballet itself (I’m also in the dark on the reason why for thaat one as well.) I at the last moment stopped myself from opening up the pen and spreading ink all over my right thumb and then using 70 pounds of pressure imprinting my thumb over Coleman’s oval (this was to assure that the intent of my approval is with Coleman.) But all I did was boringly fill in (to the best of my ability within the circles…I thought about filling in all the people I didn’t want to vote for but that would’ve been too much work…boy was I lucky I didn’t do that! Yep just as I always do when I vote I first carefully perused the ballot and then methodically filled in my choice of candidate (one per section and no write ins!).

You know if anyone of you look over the scanned ballots posted here and come to the conclusion that these are legitimately real “rejected ballots” then I would have to infer from this that although you may walk fine and bend well nevertheless you most certainly need help when going to the toilet. I say this to make a point and although it may come off sounding terrible I literally believe it. Few things in life have unsettled me more than this methodical attempt (wide openly amazingly) to steal this election. It makes me want to retch when I think of any of those ballots being discounted. I have yet to see Coleman’s teams contested ballots but the same applies obviously to everyone. These people (picking out obviously sound ballots to contest) needs to grow up!

How anyone can deny Franken is blatantly trying to steal this election on behalf of the Democratic Party is beyond me.

And how any female could entertain the idea of Franken is beyond me as well. A man who makes a joke about rape. Despicable. An insult to America, basically.

  7. danbrome Says:
    November 23rd, 2008 at 12:18 AM

    OK, I’ll deny it.

Franken and the DFL simply want a fair and complete count of ALL valid ballots.

I know the thought of Senator Franken’s re-election campaign is keeping you awake at night, but you know, sometimes the truth can set you free.

Stop knocking the DFL and let’s let the system work for all the voters. The candidate with the most votes in the end will serve as our Senator.

  8. Maxus Says:
    November 23rd, 2008 at 12:43 AM

dan..your delusional.. Colemans lead is expanding..and the pool of DFL precints to count is shrinking..or do you have any inside dope? Frankens marxists are challenging ballots just to be spiteful.

  10. Gary Gross Says:

I’ll bet that all 27 ballots would be counted for Sen. Coleman. The only one that comes even close is ballot # 20 & that isn’t all that close. Intent can be determined. That’s the only threshold that matters.

Franken and the DFL simply want a fair and complete count of ALL valid ballots.

That’s never been their intent. Their mantra is to count every ballot, not every valid ballot. To say otherwise is B as in B, S as in s.

  11. mrw Says:
    November 23rd, 2008 at 3:46 AM

Gary: Franken and Coleman are in the same boat here. Anyone who has seen their challenged ballots can only say (honestly, at least) that each campaign is responsible for numerous frivolous challenges. Like so many other Minnesotans, I’m sick of the crap. The frivolous challenges. The comical attempts to claim the high ground when you’re just as bad as your opponent. The worthless press conferences that are nothing more than repetition of stale talking points.

Both Coleman and Franken should stop the frivolous challenges, stop the blatantly false claims (on both sides) of fairness, and let things run their course.

To conclude, here’s a corrected version of your last sentence: That’s never been either campaign’s intent. Both of their mantras are to count every favorable ballot and challenge any unfavorable ballot on the flimsiest of pretenses.

First off danbrome if you weren’t such an idiot your statement might have made sense. Secondly Franken is not up for re-election as this is his FIRST go around. I thought I would capitalize that for you in case it was confusing for a lib.

This is a clear case of an idiot trying to steal form the citizens of Minnesota. Franken is a failed comedian who has no place in politics.

The ballots that are being challenged are being done so by those who graduated from public school systems. Hey another system who failed as a result of unions. Maybe we should have GM do the recount.

Franken will go home a loser as he always has been. He is a dried up failed comedian. Besides Air America needs him to help them succeed against Rush…lol

  13. danbrome Says:
    November 23rd, 2008 at 11:41 AM

Hey Airborne.. are you drunk? I was referring to Senator Franken’s re-election campaign in 2014.
I guess that suggests that you just may be the idiot here.

Who would you prefer we have count the ballots? Maybe Erik Paulsen and Ron Carey?

    Your ignorance is astonishing!

  14. Sonnyboy Says:
    November 23rd, 2008 at 3:48 PM

Dan brome I simply said if you look at the posted ballot’s (and only these posted here) that one could not deny the ridiculousness of these contested ballot’s. My laawd! You can agree on this with me can’t you?
You know in Public Relations when defending something that’s public record (therefore verifiable) plain to see that it is untrue, then the person in this in your case reactionary partisanship denial is discredited as a Looney. And thought of as akin to a little crying baby…if I see Coleman’s contested ballot’s and his campaign is doing the same thing or similar I denounce it with the same vigor.

Danbrome I hope to God you never are an election’s judge or in any position where you could participate in voter fraud. You are obviously one of those ends support the means dialectic materialist class warfare revolution Castro closet lovers who wants to lead a new constructed Marxist state (search for socialist and Marxist local websites) with you and about 10% of the populous on the top in charge. This time worn primitive philosophy put in practice by the state leads to this. Most people are satisfied to balance there individual freedoms with the collective demands since most people do care about the collective good but most people have common sense as well and knows when they are being schemed against.

You are an extreme lefty not a normal one as Bill Clinton or Al Gore. People like you are the reason so many democrat presidential candidates in the recent past lost anyware from 49 states (Reagan lost MN by only around 5,000 votes) 44 states and 40 states! You would have lost this one in 2008 if not for the enormous political environment back lash against the party recently in power and an unpopular president. It was time for a democrat win…and you deserved it. The republican party needs major work.

I know you are lying because if Obama was side by side with you and disagreed with your view on the contestability of these posted ballots you would about face change your mind, since have this herd like mentality. People like you who lie with no conscience are sociopaths (all be it hopefully a mild sociopath). You probably think everyone lies since you do (not true). Maybe someday you will come to realize this.

A picture of Oliver Stone and Papa Castro and his son with you all together would make for a lovely Christmas card.

  17. danbrome Says:

Sonnyboy… your babbling rant is hilarious.

danbrome is not liar or a left wing nut. He is a proud moderate Democrat, thrilled that the people of the United States have decided to drain the swamp and turn to the Democrats for leadership on the issues that mean the most to their families.

Now I know Uncle Karl’s playbook requires you to call names and assign labels and spew your divisive rhetoric, but you frankly sound like a fool. I admit that is my opinion, but I suspect there are others here who are also rolling their eyes as they read your pathetic rants.

danbrome wants this Senate race to be decided by the voters. Let’s count the valid ballots and wish the winner well.

  18. Kyle Says:
    November 24th, 2008 at 9:01 AM

How idiotic. There are no reasons whatsoever for either Coleman or Franken to have challenged any of the ballots shown here, or on “the uptake.”

Shameless isn’t the word. Stupid is.

  19. Kyle Says:
    November 24th, 2008 at 9:07 AM

And for the record, danbrome is a worthless turd.

  20. Mustang09 Says:
    November 24th, 2008 at 9:12 AM

Coleman needs to keep pace with Franken’s challenges for one simple reason…if Franken challenges enough ballots without offsetting Coleman challenges, when the recount is done, minus challenges, Franken may be leading. this would be trumpeted by all the media as a Franken victory, then when his thousands of ridiculous challenges are counted and Coleman, the legitimate winner, is announced Franken can start screaming about how the canvassing board “stole” the election. I have no problem with the Coleamn campaign keeping pace with Franken on the challenges for just that reason.

  21. danbrome Says:
    November 24th, 2008 at 10:34 AM

    Kyle’s strategy:

If my guy is “winning”, bar the door and trample the voters right to have their valid ballots counted.

If my guy is losing, call the system a fraud and lambast the opposition, and call them every vile name in the book. That makes me better than them.

Kyle, you need to show more respect for the fair and thoughtful process we Minnesotan’s have for resolving close elections.

  22. Kyle Says:
    November 24th, 2008 at 11:06 AM

    danbrome’s strategy:

    Hump Ashwin Madia’s leg.

Then stuff the ballot box with illegal ballots.

Then change the rules until he wins.

Fuck you danbrome. You’re a worthless taint licking turd.

  23. Kyle Says:
    November 24th, 2008 at 11:11 AM

And by the way, dan, you worthless turd, my previous comments on this matter are of intellectual honesty. By what has been illustrated, Franken and Coleman are both throwing out a lot of stupid challenges to clearly valid ballots with crystal clear intent.

There’s nothing less valid about Coleman’s strategy to ensure that the letter of the law is followed, than Al Franken’s strategy to change the rules mid-stream in order to achieve an outcome he likes.

You’re a dishonest, stupid, little piece of shit, danbrome. And thank God that stupid, dishonest sack of shit who’s scrotum you were snuggling with through the election, Ashwin Madia, is in the unemployment line.

  24. naomi Says:

Those challenges were absolutely hilarious. This definitely underscores the illiteracy of Frankin and his groupies. Maybe they think Frankin is spelled C O L E M A N.
Hey, Danbroom, check out your favorite local lefty sites and see the type of ballots literate people challenge.I would think if they are as shameless as the ones posted here, you should be able to find them. (anything to keep you busy)
