MUST READ FROM THE HILL: “FRANKEN MAY ASK SENATE TO INTERVENE IN MINN. RECOUNT”
By Michael B. Brodkorb | December 1, 2008

Team Franken has started to publicly discuss the having the U.S. Senate intervene in recount. As usual, Mark Drake is there to hammer Team Franken.
“‘The Franken campaign has made it clear that the recounted votes and will of Minnesotans matter little to them, and that they intend to take their campaign to change the outcome of this election on to the United States Senate,’ said Coleman campaign spokesman Mark Drake. ‘Al Franken should personally reject this strategy outright, and honor the right of Minnesotans to choose who their senator should be — and not allow lawsuits and the strong-arm tactics of the majority leader of the United States Senate to intervene in this process.’” Source: The Hill, December 1, 2008

The funniest thing about Mark Drake is how he makes up stuff that isn’t happening and believes that if he says it is, it is.
Mark Drake appears to be the only one saying that Franken is planning to take this to the Senate. Everyone from Franken’s camp is being crystal clear about letting the recount, and if needed, the courts, decide.

I ask here why the Senate “reamins an option.”

There is a huge difference between saying that if the courts and canvassing board reject legal votes that they may go to the Senate, and, “…that they intend to take their campaign to change the outcome of this election on to the United States Senate”
Franken is rationally asking that the state do its job in certifying which candidate received more votes. If they refuse, he has not ruled out having the Senate ask them to do so.
Coleman is trying to scare the public by saying that Franken is begging the Senate to just give him the seat.
It is sad when this is how a member of the US Senate presents himself. Many of my republican friends say that his actions in this recount have them regretting their choice.

Leeroy, you’re a pathetic liar. You don’t have any friends. I don’t think even Cheeto Boy likes you much.
