MN GOP PRESS RELEASE: “FRANKEN CAMPAIGN RECOUNT HEADQUARTERS: WASHINGTON, DC”

By Michael B. Brodkorb | December 2, 2008

St. Paul – Republican Party of Minnesota Chair Ron Carey today released the following statement in reaction to the Franken campaign holding a Washington D.C. press briefing.

“The Franken Campaign’s decision to pack their bags and move their operation to the DSCC headquarters underscores their commitment to dragging this election before the United States Senate.  They have clearly given up hope of achieving a victory through the recount, and have now established their ‘war room’ in the highest levels of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Al Franken should answer whether his lead recount attorney is in D.C. to round up votes on the Senate floor to overturn the will of Minnesota voters, instead of sitting down with the representatives of the Coleman campaign to discuss ballot challenges.”

    A question for Franken:

“Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?”

Hey, it would sure be an entertaining quandary for Klobuchar.

Does she vote to take the choice of their Senator out of the hands of MN citizens, or does she vote against her party? Juicy stuff — either of which could hurt her in ’12.

Guess you gotta put out this tripe given the events of today. It was definitely not a good day for Team Coleman.

171 ballots turn up in Ramsey County and Franken has a net gain of 37 votes with those ballots now properly counted.

And, the Secretary of State emails all 87 counties telling them to go through their rejected absentee ballots and put them in to five piles with an effort to see how many ballots in the fifth pile may have been improperly rejected.

Mikey, guess you better repost that the SOS is a commie. Feeling the heat ratchet up a bit sweetie?

  6. Kyle Says:
    December 2nd, 2008 at 4:48 PM

    Judy, what’s up your ass?

Franken still trails the recount. And nobody cares what the SOS asked the counties to do.

It’s a bad day for nobody.

Meanwhile, Franken is setting up a formal office with the DSCC to lobby for the Senate to toss out Minnesota’s election and seat Franken’s fat, phony ass next to the rest of the fat, phony dishonest asses in the Democrat caucus.

I’m sure you love the anti-American nature of what Franken is trying to accomplish. There aren’t many Democrats with the sense or class to lose a recount and go on their merry way.

This way, he can take a train home in a few hours when he gets the bad news.

There is no way, given the current state of affairs in this country, that the Senate is going to intervein here. Even Democraps aren’t that stupid.

  8. Swiftee Says:
    December 2nd, 2008 at 5:53 PM

    intervein = intervene

A lot of it depends on the Georgia election tonight. If Martin wins they will do it!

If Martin loses I think Reid grows a brain because if he steals it he will have 41 guarteened votes for any filibuster.

Not to mention the Republicans have a natural campaign message for three cycles in a row Senator (Insert name of Democrat Senator running for election) is a thief and doesn’t care about people’s votes. Senator (insert name) doesn’t deserve reelection.

There are a lot of Democrats who I think are smart enough to understand that message coming.

Chambliss wins easily… wit halmost all of Minneapolis counted there is no more vote pool for Franken

So now with the Maplewood sweetener of 37 Franken
votes and as the counties start pushing the
absentee ballots into the dreaded fifth pile
its all over but the crying you poor little
    right wing nuts.

More “found” votes…how do the election judges in the Ramsey County precinct with the “defective counting machines” explain how they reconciled the machine counts to the registration records (both the published books and same day registrations)? This smells really bad.

I’m sure it won’t come to this, but I would like to see that head election judge on the witness stand. Likewise for the election official who had the 32 ballots that were (not) in the trunk of his car.

If Frankin takes this to the Senate for a fix, this state may explode in outrage. Senator K has no problem. The dems know she can’t vote to seat Angry Al and will tolerate her no vote.

Elections have consequences. Let’s never forget that a third party gave us Governor Goofy. For the same reason, we are too close to electing Senator Stuart Smalley, the failed comedian and failed talk show host.

Can the electorate please wake up?

  14. Maxus Says:

Franken is now in the lead…… go figure

  15. Leroy Jenkins Says:
    December 2nd, 2008 at 11:24 PM

What a shock. The day Franken takes the lead on the SOS website, Michael forgets to post the 8 p.m. link to his results.

Instead, he tries to make a story out of a DC based lawyer heading home for a few days to take care of other business, making it seem like part of a master plan to steal the election.

My question is, how soon does Norm have to lose this to make it back to New York in time to establish residency and run for Hillary’s seat?

  16. Kyle Says:
    December 3rd, 2008 at 1:00 AM

Norm Coleman is still in the lead with a net 303 vote margin.

Or what, are you guys saying that it meant something when the raw recount total had Coleman in the lead by 20,000+ votes a few days back?

    Get a clue.
