MY FINAL NARN “THE FINAL WORD” TODAY FROM 3-5 P.M.

    By Michael B. Brodkorb | January 17, 2009

For one last time as a full-time member of the NARN, I’ll be on the radio today for a two-hour program from 3-5 p.m. with King Banaian of SCSU Scholars on AM 1280 The Patriot.

Before you listen to King and me, make sure you listen to the first four hours of the Northern Alliance Radio Network. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. you can hear Power Line’s John Hinderaker and Chad and Brian from Fraters Libertas. Mitch Berg and Captain Ed are on the air from 1-3 pm.

I encourage you to all to listen. Broadcasts can be heard on AM 1280 The Patriot, which has an Internet stream for those outside the Twin Cities. Brave Democrats and proud Republicans can join the conversation at (651) 289-4488.

Michael, It’s safe to say that, though you will be gone from the show, you certainly won’t be forgotten.

      Michael…

See you at Perkin’s in Maple Grove sometime!

So where can I send my radio resume? :o

I really can’t believe you have never watched 24. What kind of conservative blogger do you think you are? We may have to take up a collection to buy you the first few seasons on DVD so you can watch them at your leisure.

Despite our differences in the past, I do wish you well and look forward to being able to work side by side with you in exposing liberals and how dangerous their ideas are.

Hello, Michael I appreciate and am grateful for your blog and all the demand (you have) it has created for its ever growing consumer-ship to air out their view points and feelings.

It is a fine and decent anonymous place to vent (within reason) and debate and perhaps share a few funny moments. I hope this blog never dies and that you and many others (even us)when prudent continue always to dig into basic public information to expose the left’s unreported abuse of power.

Everyone theoretically has to follow the same rule of law, but we all know that in practice that is not so. The media is biased and doesn’t do its home work at times and that’s when people like you Michael do your (our) civic duty and report what is being left out. This takes courage and I’m sure it hasn’t made your external life easier but internal I imagine there is much peace and relief.

So many people chase that dollar…when they should produce with principle and a belief system. Then often but not always and not soon the dollars start following you. I can’t imagine not having someone like you doing this unpaid and uncompensated volunteer civic duty work. Like most everything it may look easy to some (producing and running this blog) but in practice it takes incredible dedication and hard work. You’re a good role model Michael for all of us who want to engage in political discussion within our respective milieus.

Wow, for some reason, the air this evening seems a lot cleaner, less pollution. Nor sure why.

Michael, the next time you’re at the Maple Grove Perkins bring your camera. You might be able to catch danbrome skipping out on his bill.

The video you captured of Rachel Hetland stealing campaign signs there was priceless!

      http://gavinsullivan.blogspot.com/2008/09/rachel-hetland-incident.html

It’s sad that danbrome is still defending the actions of Rachel Hetland, by implying that you don’t belong at a restaurant that is a block away from the Interstate.

    8. Lassie Says:

      Michael,

It was an honor and surprise to have you join us at our senate district coffee meet Saturday morning. You gave us all a shot in the arm and hope that we can make a difference. Both candidates for state GOP deputy chair came, and we really appreciated hearing from you both.

Best of luck to you, and we’ll miss you on the air.

PS: MOB party idea: Maybe we can host a “24″ marathon to get you up to speed! :)

    9. danbrome Says:
      January 18th, 2009 at 12:50 PM

      chili..

I repeat, I never defended the bad behavior of the Madia volunteer.

I do however, subscribe to the fact that Michael Brodkorb is dishonest concerning the incident.

Just for the record, there are 5 other Perkins locations between Eden Prairie and Maple Grove.. I guess Michael likes the coffee better in Maple Grove.

    10. chili Says:
      January 18th, 2009 at 2:18 PM

      danbrome

Just for the record you have repeatedly downplayed the actions of Rachel Hetland by suggesting she was set up.

Just for the record Michael doesn’t live in Eden Prairie.

Just for the record, Maple Grove is in the 3rd district and is considered a Republican stronghold.

You offer nothing to back up you accusation against Michael. Michael does not need your permission to eat at a restaurant.

The fact that Michael was across the street when Rachel Hetland stole those campaign signs is her bad luck.

      http://gavinsullivan.blogspot.com/2008/09/rachel-hetland-incident.html

I love it when criminals have bad luck. Some call this Karma.

    11. DJZ Says:
      January 18th, 2009 at 2:25 PM

The 3rd CD stretches from EP to MG. I assume that’s what Dan was speaking about.

    12. chili Says:
      January 18th, 2009 at 2:50 PM

I know the 3rd district includes EP and MG.

      Paulsen’s HQ was EP.
      Madia’s HQ was MG.

Rather than admit that Rachel Hetland is a dirty thief, danbrome blames Michael, insinuating that he went to the Maple Grove Perkins to do a stake-out. danbrome continues to attempt to deflect attention away from Rachel Hetland. I continue to put the attention back on Rachel Hetland.

Re-read post #2. danbrome has made that same snide comment several times. Rachel Hetland stole campaign signs. Michael was in the right place at the right time.

    13. Mitch Berg Says:
      January 18th, 2009 at 3:39 PM

      Michael,

It’s been great working with you!

      Danbrome,

Just for a moment, let’s take your scenario at face value. Let’s say Michael WAS “staking out” that precise location – a Pukins’ that overlooked a couple of Paulsen signs. Let’s say that he wanted to catch a Madia volunteer kyping signs, but that as a busy party guy and father of twins, that he doesn’t want to waste time sitting for hours drinking coffee and snarfing pie somewhere that won’t deliver some results. Say, for a moment, that it’s all true

On whom does that reflect more? On Michael’s character? Call the media; he’s efficient, and good and predicting DFL behavior! Or on Madia’s campaign – that they are predictable enough to steal their opponents’ signs close to their HQ?

I know what you’ll say, DB, but I’m more interested in the opinions of those not warped by Brodkorb Derangement Syndrome.

    14. Zelly Says:
      January 18th, 2009 at 3:46 PM

I’m sure the 8-10 listeners that tune into WWTC-AM 1280 will miss you.

    15. danbrome Says:
      January 18th, 2009 at 6:42 PM

With all due respect.. my point is simple.

I have repeatedly deplored the moronic behavior of the Madia volunteer. Michael is not to blame for what she did. I do not know a single member of Team Madia that has defended or explained away the taking of the signs. I myself was mad as hell.

The Madia campaign met with the volunteer and dismissed her promptly, as her actions violated the standard set my Ashwin Madia himself.

I know that campaigns are tough, and that neither side ever wants give any ground on things like this, that’s understandable.

What really disappoints me that Michael will not admit to the sting. If he has, let me know and I will be relieved.

I challenge Michael Brodkorb to address the issue head on and in writing. If no reply is offered, I will assume that I have my facts right, and that he is dishonest.

Believe it or not, I CAN be convinced, but not by others simply bombing me into oblivion.

      Michael??

    16. Pete F Says:
      January 18th, 2009 at 7:15 PM

danbrome never has his facts right and is dishonest.

I will state that Danbrome is actually a women. Now prove me wrong on this blog danbrome. If you do not provide proof I will assume I am right.

    17. danbrome Says:
      January 18th, 2009 at 7:40 PM

If you want to think I’m a woman, go for it.

Are you confirming Mitch’s suspicion that I’m right about the incident?

    18. quicksand Says:
      January 18th, 2009 at 11:33 PM

There you go Pete, danbrome is woman.

You stated danbrome is a woman. He did not dispute that in his reply.

I will state that danbrome is actually a lesbian.

    19. Jamie Says:

      You will be missed Michael!

    20. chili Says:
      January 19th, 2009 at 9:37 AM

      danbrome

You once again are backpedaling on the issue.

To paraphrase, you recently stated Rachel Hetland returned the signs and all is forgiven.

Actually, Rachel Hetland was in the process of throwing them in the trash when MBB recovered them. Those signs did appear to be damaged. Did she pay for them?

You have forgiven Rachel Hetland, but still throw bombs at MBB for being at a Perkins’ Restaurant.

Here is a thread where Michael addresses your liberal defense mechanisms.

      http://www.minnesotademocratsexposed.com/2008/09/26/mde-exclusive-madia-volunteer-busted-stealing-paulsen-for-congress-lawn-signs-high-level-madias-staffer-car-involved-in-incident/

danbrome, the get away car that Rachel Hetland used was registered to Dan Pollack, Madia’s Communications director. How, as you state, was Madia “volunteer” Rachel Hetland “dismissed?” “Honey, when you go out to steal more campaign signs, don’t use my car”

(BTW, Rachel Hetland reminds me of Julie (Mackenzie Phillips) from “One Day at a Time.” Icky!)

    21. Pete f Says:
      January 19th, 2009 at 12:54 PM

danbrome, there you go. We have an admission from danbrome that “he” is a woman. A proven fact because he did not respond and deny the fact.

danbrome, someone as “left” as you can never be “right”.

    22. danbrome Says:
      January 19th, 2009 at 7:25 PM

Why would I forgive someone who did something so stupid, and caused harm to a campaign I cared so much about?

Why do you keep calling me a liberal?

    23. danbrome Says:
      January 19th, 2009 at 7:28 PM

    25. danbrome Says:

Well, at least it will only last for 8 years.

    26. danbrome Says:
      January 19th, 2009 at 7:37 PM

      Chestnut..

You will be a valuable resource in finding solutions to our nation’s problems. It would be in YOUR best interest to get involved so that we can all work together.

Step up and show me some courage.

    27. danbrome Says:
      January 20th, 2009 at 12:36 AM

      Chestnut…

You are just mad because the Dems are large and in charge right now. I’m sure you don’t really mean it, you just can’t help yourself.

I will cut you a lot of slack now because I understand you are in a difficult period of grieving. Your immature venting on moderate Democrats like me is just one more episode in a cowardly attempt to cope.

      May God Bless You.
