MDE ON WCCO-TV ON BLOGGER ACCESS AT MINNESOTA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
By Michael B. Brodkorb | March 9, 2009
This is a small video clip from WCCO-TV tonight about blogger access at the Minnesota House of Representatives. I said “House Democrats should be ashamed” for denying bloggers access to cover the procedings.
UPDATE: This is from Esme Murphy’s blog:
“Michael Brodkorb: ‘House Democrats Should Be Ashamed’
I couldn’t agree more.
The quote is from Michael Brodkorb the author of the blog Minnesota Democrats Exposed commenting in Pat Kessler’s 5 p.m. story on the proposed censorship of journalists at the capitol.
House DFLers are also taking a drubbing from the left with the Uptake’s Jason Barnett also ripping the proposal in Pat’s story.” Source: Esme’s Blog, March 9, 2009

Nice haircut, Michael.
Are Democrats afraid their own bloggers will turn on them? You know, assholes like Tubby Tommy Johnson and Gavin Sullivan, who go to an event not to report on it, but rather to cause a disruption.
I didn’t catch the name of the sissy guy from The Uptake, was that danbrome?
March 9th, 2009 at 11:06 PM
quicksand..
If he was a sissy, then what does that make YOU?
March 10th, 2009 at 1:07 AM
This is truly shameful. The people have the right to see what their legislature is doing. It’s un-American to restrict access to individual members and their activity on behalf of the public. This isn’t about following them into their office and watching what they do behind closed doors.
I’m a little surprised, however, that Pat Kessler didn’t talk to an elected Republican to get their view of what the DFL is trying to do. While I get the blogger angle, it would have been nice to get an elected GOP leader on the record about this and let them blast the DFL for this shameless move.
March 10th, 2009 at 1:46 AM
quicksand: non-sissy.
danbrome: sissy

Democrats have proven over and over that if you tell lies and keep repeating them, pretty soon some people will believe them. All you need to do is look at the examples on this blog for proof: brome, PD, Leroy, Flounder, etc. The House Democrats are worried that people who voted for them will start questioning the lies just like what is happening to Obama on the national level, and they can’t have that. It’s harder to lie when there is photographic proof, but that’s really not stopped them before.
Without the cover of the main stream media in this town, they are worried that they will be exposed and won’t be able to lie their way out of situations like they have in the past. Remember the statement “we are a fiscally responsible caucus?”. Yeah right Marge.
Democrats don’t do anything without an ulterior motive and using the “safety” excuse is so transparent it’s laughable. Is Mark Dayton consulting with this bunch?
March 10th, 2009 at 9:43 AM
I think it is hilarious that Creepy Ryan Flynn, as a former tracker, is at the center of this controversy.
March 10th, 2009 at 9:47 AM
Americans of ALL ilks should flabbergasted by this fascist DFL proposal.
This subject should be a good test of just how blindly folks like Leroy follow their leaders.
What american could possibly support this?
March 10th, 2009 at 10:11 AM
I agree it is a horrible idea. I just think it is funny that Ryan Flynn and his employer think they deserve any say in the matter after their reprehensible actions created the perceived need for this in the first place.
March 10th, 2009 at 10:20 AM
Leroy/Scott the lobbyist: I hope Ryan follows you around with a camera – you fascist puke!
Leroy/Scott, do you have any proof Ryan was ever “creepy.” In following the DFL, a tracker/blogger doesn’t need to create news – democrats shoot themselves in the foot.
March 10th, 2009 at 10:22 AM
I meant Leroy-the-jackass/Scott, the lobbyist
March 10th, 2009 at 10:43 AM
Chile/Elton Fordyce, treasurer of House District 20A/PeteF-
Yes, I have proof Ryan was creepy. He was working as a tracker. All trackers, republican and democrat, are by their very nature creepy. They are paid to stalk people. Sorry if our allegiance to Mark Foley makes you not believe that stalking is bad.
March 10th, 2009 at 10:56 AM
Leroy,
It’s truly amazing that you support closing off our legislature to the public for political reasons. The people have the right to know and report what is happening in the legislature. There is no need to close off any proceedings — especially to campaign trackers. That’s completely un-American. If an elected official can’t take the heat, then they should get out of the kitchen.
March 10th, 2009 at 11:12 AM
Leroy-the-jackass/Scott – thats not proof. You are a loser.
While most DFL tracker are stalker/sign-stealers/law-breakers/etc. not all are.
Much of what an above-board tracker does, is follow that campaign on the road, count crowds, take notes, film speeches, etc.
What are you afraid of Leroy/Scott, you jackass, is a tracker going to catch a DFLer touting socialism.
March 10th, 2009 at 11:14 AM
First, as I said in post number eight, I think this is a horrible idea.
But, even if it were to happen, how would this close off the legislature to the public? People can still attend hearings, and there is a legislative video feed that anyone can get online. The proposed rules would just require bloggers to get credentialed as media before being treated like media.
Currently I can not walk on the floor of the house during session because I am not a member of the house, an employee of the house, or a member of the media. These people all have various forms of clearance that allow them said access.
Would you argue that restricting access to the house floor is un-american?
March 10th, 2009 at 11:46 AM
Leroy-the-jackass/Scott, you are on record as calling Ryan Flynn, “creepy.” You were asked for proof of this and now are backpedaling – because it’s not true. You are a liberal lackey and a dishonest f*ck.
The Fascist DFL proposed that no one, including tradional media, be allowed to document their antics. Worst of all they played the “security card.” Sounds like a Mark Dayton idea to me.
March 10th, 2009 at 12:01 PM
Chile/Elton/Pete-
Ryan accepted money from a political party to stalk someone. As I said, regardless of party affiliation, anyone who is that lacking in conscious that they will accept such a job is, by definition, creepy.
March 10th, 2009 at 12:11 PM
Scott, why are you blaming other people for what I did? You certainly did not like being outed here but you should try and deal with it like a man.
Who would of thought that you would be so ashamed of your life style choice that you would deny your identity. I thought people of your ilk were supposed to be proud.
Like I said before Scott, my mother calls me Pete, does your mother call you Leroy? Maybe this time you can anwser the question.
March 10th, 2009 at 12:14 PM
Leroy,
Did you watch Pat Kessler’s report? Because the report also said that the House is considering prohibiting television cameras from zooming in on particular members as well as prohibiting cameras from focusing in on members’ conversations with one another.
Is it appropriate for the legislature to tell the press who and what they can record? Frankly, this is what one would expect from the Soviet Union, not Minnesota.
As for campaign trackers, are the ones who follow Tim Pawlenty and Norm Coleman “stalkers,” Leroy?
March 10th, 2009 at 12:23 PM
Leroy-the-jackass/Scott
Are you a registered lobbyist with the State of Minnesota? Are you required to identify yourself as such, when making public statements with the intent of influencing the opinions of elected officials and their supporters?
Lobbyist Scott posting as “Leroy Jenkins”, by definition, creepy.
March 10th, 2009 at 12:28 PM
Chris, the Soviet Union’s control of the press is child’s play compared to Obama and the new-Democrats.
March 10th, 2009 at 1:02 PM
The dumpocraps don’t want close ups because Scott Dibble might get caught fingering up Larry Pogemiller’s browneye. (Looks like that little uptake dork might like that tho)
Or my little bitch tommy johnson working hard under everybodys desk. Bring that cash punk!
And of course no one wants to watch Phyllis Kahn picking her nose and eating, well you get the picture.
In short, it would simply be uncivilized to televiZe the goings on in a room full of dumpocraps. Think of the children.
March 10th, 2009 at 1:18 PM
I am not a lobbyist.
I am not named Scott.
I have never lived in House District 20A.
I have never lived within 150 miles of Appleton, Minnesota.
Elton Fordyce, who posts here as PeteF AND Chile, believes that because I am aware of a little publicized event that occurred in district 20A during the past election, that I must be a principal in the story and not simply someone who heard about it.
Elton, on the other hand, has never denied being Elton. He simply repeats the fact that his mom calls him Pete for some reason. I am just waiting for him to categorically deny that he is Elton Fordyce so that I can complete the job of outing him as a total fraud.
March 10th, 2009 at 1:34 PM
It would be interesting to see proof that I am somebody that I am not Scott. Go for it.
March 10th, 2009 at 2:17 PM
Leroy, does your mother call you Leroy? Or are you a “total fraud”?
March 10th, 2009 at 2:24 PM
You have yet to deny that you are Elton Fordyce. You have only said that your mother calls you Pete.
Once you deny being Elton Fordyce, then I will show how it is that I know for a fact that you are lying about your identity. There is one simple act that will prove my point for once and for all. If you want me to do it, deny that you are Elton Fordyce.
And no, my name is not Leroy. I have never claimed it was. I have, however, stated quite authoritatively that I am NOT named Scott. One name down, 2 million to go.
March 10th, 2009 at 2:55 PM
Did you read my last post Scott?
March 10th, 2009 at 3:23 PM
Leroy the liar,
Why don’t you take your pissing match somewhere else? Nobody cares who you are or who Pete is.
March 10th, 2009 at 3:46 PM
I agree that no one cares who either of us are.
The moment Elton stops implying that I am someone that I am not, I will stop implying that he is someone I know him to be.
March 10th, 2009 at 4:44 PM
Chile said: “the Soviet Union’s control of the press is child’s play compared to Obama and the new-Democrats.”
This is hilarious. Where were you the past eight years? The Bush admin was the absolute, undeniable worst when it came to manipulation of the media. They cut off access to white house press corps members if they asked tough questions. Unfortunately, the press let it happen and didn’t push back.
It’s been less then two months with Obama. I’m not going to be so quick to judge with this admin. Neither should you, Chile. Maybe you should just change your screen name to “childish?”
March 10th, 2009 at 5:15 PM
… It’s really scary when the DFL is further left then even the commies at theUptake.
March 10th, 2009 at 5:26 PM
Leroy, Since you know the information you “have” is bad you will not post it. Since you are a known liar it doesn’t really matter because I know who I am. Pete has been my name my entire life and you hide behind a false name.
But Chris is right. No one hear cares who we are, but I’m betting you have clients that you would prefer not know your true identity. Me? Doesn’t matter. I am not a politician nor am I involved in politics beyond being a grass roots volunteer. I have no political ambitions other than to see the truth about the DFL and their deceit made public.
Somehow I think you have a lot to lose by your identity being known.
One last thought Leroy, when was the last time I called you Scott where you did not refer to me as this Elton fellows name first? It certainly wasn’t in this topic.
March 10th, 2009 at 6:15 PM
Thats a lot of tap dancing to avoid a simple question.
Are you, or are you not, Elton Fordyce?
March 10th, 2009 at 6:29 PM
“Bush administration was the worst…At manipulating the media…. The press didn`t fight back.” Right. That`s why CBS,NBC,ABC,CNN,MSNBC, The New York Times, LA times, Chicago tribune, Minn. Red Star, ect., ect., had such glowing reviews of Bush every night. One of the stupidest statements I`ve ever heard, even from a Democrat.
March 10th, 2009 at 8:19 PM
I’ve already answered your question Leroy. Why do you continue to avoid providing your so called “proof”?
March 10th, 2009 at 8:47 PM
You have suggested that some people call you other things, and you have done a lot of speculating about who I may be, but the bottom line is, you are afraid to get caught in a trap by stating without equivocation that you are not Elton Fordyce, treasurer of House District 20A.
Your repeated attempts to evade the question have done nothing but solidify my argument, and your repeated unwillingness to man up and stand behind your statements speaks volumes for your honesty.
You are a fraud and a liar, and I hope everyone on this site keeps that in mind when they read your off kilter posts. As for me, I am done with you.
March 10th, 2009 at 9:20 PM
After reading your drivel Leroy you’re as credible as ,,,,,Flounder.
Nuff said.
March 10th, 2009 at 10:24 PM
Leroy (Scott), who do you lobby for?
March 11th, 2009 at 7:15 AM
Leroy, Treasurer of House District 20A? As far as I know House Districts do not have a treasurer. BPOU’s have treasures, is that what you are talking about? I suppose Senate District 20 has a treasurer, is that it? I am neither but whatever…
If you most recent statements are any indication of your other so called facts you need help. Facts are all relative to people of your ilk are’t they.
Leroy is a fraud and a liar and I am glad that he is “done” with me. I find his “special” attention and obsession with me disgusting.
Leroy, I am “done with you”. Of course that does not mean I will not continue to challenge the lies you post here but I will refrain from encouraging your obsession with me.
March 11th, 2009 at 8:39 AM
QS, Leroy/Scott, the jackass, is an environmental-wacko lobbyist.
Leroy, when you meet with danbrome for picnics at Loring Park, do you drive from your office? If you were to meet at Theodore Wirth, you could walk and cut down on greenhouse gasses.
March 11th, 2009 at 12:38 PM
Where is Loring Park?
March 11th, 2009 at 12:59 PM
danbrome. Right. You don’t know. Sure. You bet.
Maybe it is because you only cruise there at night and can’t see the signs? Could be…
March 11th, 2009 at 2:25 PM
Seriously, is it anywhere near my home in the 3rd CD?
March 11th, 2009 at 6:59 PM
A liberal playing stupid – it comes so naturally!
March 11th, 2009 at 10:29 PM
chile is entertaining, but factually bankrupt.
March 12th, 2009 at 2:21 AM
danbrome, have you been through “the tunnel” lately?

In this photo, are you the guy on the left?

March 12th, 2009 at 9:08 AM
Ah yes, dabrome caught in ANOTHER lie.
March 12th, 2009 at 9:33 AM
danrbrome, you are morally bankrupt.
You provide no facts, you only repeat what you read on silly liberal bumper stickers.
danbrome: Intellectually Bankrupt.
March 12th, 2009 at 12:14 PM
Quicksand: After I was ejected from the 42B GOP convention, Michael Brodkorb telephoned me, profusely apologizing, as an embarrassed Republican. He has never retracted that apology. He didn’t appear to share your ungentlemanly views on my motivations.
March 12th, 2009 at 11:33 PM
Gavin, with your beady eyes and pinhead they shouldn’t have let you in the door.
You were kicked out because you were acting like an asshole. Your sole purpose of attending the GOP convention was to cause a disruption. I wish they would have given you a beat-down.
Gavin Sullivan: Anarchist
