DFL = Democratic Farmer Laborer....yeah right,
i live in oberstars district on the border with colin petersons.. oberstar gets voted in because of 2 reasons, 1 the republican candidate is always weak, and 2; the marxist iron range idiots continue to vote him in because he's pro-union and pro-union means pro-american right?? retards,, i can hear the red army's invincible and legendary playing right now... Peterson is more conservative than most republicans, so we like him... it is a fact;; if you remove the 13 county metro area, MN would have voted for McCain, they would have voted in Norm Coleman in a landslide, that's not fiction, look it up. So it is rural vs. metro, the rural area for the most part wants conservatism, not horn rimmed glasses, latte sippin utopians........

DJZ, I live in Peterson's district. I visit Willmar regularly.

You are a city boy who rarely if ever leaves the coffee shops of the city.

Walz and Oberstar represent the interests of the metro. Oberstar is particularly bad. The people who live in his district have been fooled into believing that the DFL actually cares about them but we all know that is a lie.

It is amazing that you would lower yourself to go out of the way to post on such an insignificant blog
---

I know, I'm an idiot for it.

Its nice to know that YOU know Walz and Oberstar do not represent rural interest. The people who actually live in those areas obviously disagree with you.

Back to the story and my point that the DFL effectively represent rural interests. This story is from a plant in Willmar over in Kandiyohi County. In the legislature, DFLer Al Juhnke represents them. In local government, Mayor Les Hietke of Wilmar is a DFLer. The Kandiyohi County Board has been dominated by DFLers for over 40 years. Looking at the board today, you'll see some famous names of familiar legislative DFLers.

Oh, the DFL is the Democrat Farmer-Laborer Party.

Thanks for playing suburbanite.

DJZ, Walz and Oberstar consistently vote with the metro and do not represent rural Minnesota. I have voted for Peterson in the past and, depending on the Republican candidate, will likely vote for him in the future.

It is amazing that you would lower yourself to go out of the way to post on such an insignificant blog.

Either you are a complete idiot or the blog is not as insignificant as you would like people to believe.

Yeah, big city liberals. Damn party is out of touch with rural Minnesota except- Tim Walz, Jim Oberstar and Colin Peterson. They seem to represent almost ALL of rural Minnesota.

So the Republicans can only get to Congress from the suburbs and ignore urban, and rural Minnesota and think they have a voice that matters in this situation?

Amazing how ridiculously insignificant this blog has become. Good thing Mikey found a day job.

Leroy writes: "This is a case of a Minnesota employer that is allegedly abusing it’s workers needing an additional reminder that it needs to set the republican greed aside and start treating it’s workers better."

The key word is Leroy's comment is "allegedly".

Here would use the power of government to punish a company that "allegedly" abused its workers.

Scary.

But that what the DFL has become.

I guess it is ok to refer to Obama as YOUR president now Leroy.

YOUR president is a socialist, as are you.

I did not agree with the Bush/Pelosi/Reed bailout of AIG or any other bank at the time and still don't.

The Democrats are obviously using this opportunity to take over businesses. This will back fire.

Do what you can before 20 10.

Yep. McCain asked Obama to join him in suspending the campaign. Then McCain proceeded to spend the next two days in New York, and finally on the third day, he made his way to DC to vote on the very same bill that congress crafted without either of them.

We just got done with eight years of absentee leadership. That very event proved McCain to be more of the same.

McCain asked to Obama to join him in suspending the campaign and go to Washington to work on the banking problems. Being the selfish prick that he is, Obama declined.

Obama was to much of a coward to come up with plan along with McCain last October. Now he says it's a mess he inherited, which is BS.

Leroy,

I remind you that it was the Democratic Congress which passed the bill to bail out AIG and the banks at the end of the Bush administration. I'd also remind you that President Obama voted for the bill. I believe Vice President Biden also voted in favor of the bailout. Finally, I'd also like to remind you that it was the Obama administration's request (and Chris Dodd's agreement to the request) which caused the AIG executives to receive their large bonuses this month.

I love how republicans cry socialism whenever Obama does ANYTHING, but they seem to forget that it was THEIR president who decided to bail out AIG and give the banks parting gifts of cash as well.

Leroy, HUH? Now the socialist's are going to go after companies based on allegations only?

Sounds to me like there is a lot of DFL greed and envy involved. I continue to be amused by the socialist agenda and cannot waite for the backlash in 2010!

So the republican plan is to REWARD businesses that are abusing their workers?

This isn't a rural -vs- metro issue. Nor is it a union -vs- managment issue.

This is a case of a Minnesota employer that is allegedly abusing it's workers needing an additional reminder that it needs to set the republican greed aside and start treating it's workers better.
