KARE 11: “KIFFMEYER SEEKS VOTER FRAUD CHARGES FOR SARA JANE OLSON”

“State Representative Mary Kiffmeyer, a former Secretary of State, wants to see long-time fugitive Sara Jane Olson prosecuted for voter fraud.
In a letter to Ramsey County attorney Susan Gaertner, Kiffmeyer wrote, ‘I’m am writing to follow up on a conversation that you and I had several years ago regarding apparent fraudulent voting by Kathleen Soliah (alias Sara Jane Olson) in numerous elections in Saint Paul.’
Rep. Kiffmeyer said she told Gaertner at the time of Olson’s arrest in 1999 that she was concerned that Soliah had voted multiple times under her alias, which would be a felony.
‘At the time, you said you would be waiting to learn the disposition of the court case in California before deciding how and whether to move forward with investigation and prosecution of Soliah here in Minnesota,’ Kiffmeyer wrote, ‘Obviously we now know the disposition of the case.’
Olson returned to Minnesota last week after serving seven years in a California prison for her role in a fatal bank robbery in Sacramento, and an unsuccessful conspiracy to plant pipe bombs in Los Angeles police cars in 1975.  Both crimes were carried out on behalf of the Symbionese Liberation Army, a domestic terror group which captivated the nation’s attention with the 1974 kidnapping of newspaper heiress Patty Hearst.
In Kiffmeyer’s letter to Gaertner, dated March 20th, she implies the Ramsey County prosecutor downplayed the seriousness of Olson voting under an assumed name.
‘I know that when we spoke before you indicated that your office was busy with many other criminal cases that you deemed to be more important,’ Kiffmeyer wrote, ‘And you admonished me for contacting you about this case, saying, ‘Come on, Mary, it’s only one vote’.”
Kiffmeyer told KARE Tuesday that she met personally with Gaertner and an assistant at the Secretary of State’s office in Saint Paul shortly after Olson was exposed as Soliah, an SLA member who had been in hiding since 1976.
‘Cleary for every time Soliah voted fraudulently, she stole the vote of a legitimate Minnesota voter,’ Kiffmeyer said.” Source: KARE 11, March 24, 2008

So, combining three counties that have jurisdiction over one rather large rural city is a waste of time, but having a legislator spend her time freelance investigating a voter fraud case is time well spent?
WOW. The only thing clear about the republicans these days is their lack of focus.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Democrats would defend this terrorist. Democrats sympathize with terrorists more than law abiding citizens. It’s the Democrats that want to assign constitutional rights to the terrorists residing in Guantanomo Country Club.

Come on everyone … take a deep breathe! We all know that there is no voter fraud here in Minnesota!
Hold it, I just guess that the actions of a dfl activist don’t rise to the level of fraud, especially if you’re planning to run for higher office and need her vote. Wait a minute, wasn’t there that case (down in Coates) where a strip club owner didn’t like the response he was getting from the local officials — so he had a number of “friends” vote in the election with the strip club as their home address (all 80 people). Thankfully they only voted for (presumably against) the local officials … and did not cast a vote in any other race on the ballot! [If you believe that, the Governor of Illinois has a seat in the US Senate that he wouldn't dream of selling to you ... unless, of course, Burris met his prioe.]

I agree that she probably voted fraudulently. I also agree that people who do so should be punished.
But I feel compelled to remind republicans that this is the world you asked for. When you slash budgets for the judiciary to the marrow of the bone, I don’t think you retain the right to be angry when ten year old voter fraud cases are not expediently investigated every time a state senator wants to use a prosecutor to score some political points.

Hasn’t every media outlet now proven Kiffmeyer’s accusations not only completely baseless (she legally changed her name in 1980 so she wasn’t voting under a false name and zero fraud) and but redundant (she was told this very fact years ago).

Sara Jane Olson is no longer a terrorist. According to the Department of Homeland Security, terrorism no longer exists. It’s now called “man made disasters.” So Sara Jane Olson (aka Kathleen Ann Soliah) is the cause of a man made disaster.

AC, do you have proof that a child molester voted for Coleman or just believe a convicted child molester’s word? We all know Democrats believe (and endorse) all sexual deviants. Leroy has actually spoke out in support of molesting children.
