MDE EXCLUSIVE: ALAN FRANKEN, INC STILL OPERATING IN CALIFORNIA

By Ryan Flynn | March 25, 2009

It has come to my attention that Al Franken’s corporation, Alan Franken, Inc. is still operating in California.

According to recently updated documents on the California Business Portal website, Alan Franken, Inc. is listed as “active” in California. This is a big improvement over last year, when the company was listed as being in “forfeiture.”

Given that this company nearly sunk his campaign back in May, it’s sort of surprising that he would keep the company open. At least he has something to fall back on when Sen. Coleman is reelected. I sure hope it’s a sequel to Stuart Saves His Family, the Razzies have really been weak the last couple years.

Don’t worry Al, you’ve got a little more than two weeks to settle up with California for last year’s minimum tax of $800.00. If you forget, I wouldn’t try blaming the accountant again, you’ve worn that excuse out.

Here’s an idea: Send Kathleen Soliah back to CA and to work for Angry Al, Inc.

So, now you attack Al for being CURRENT on his taxes?

Do republicans have positions on any of the issues that are facing this state and this nation, or are they hoping that if they sit back in their minority position and complain enough, the voters will suddenly want them back in power?

Al Franken still has his business going in CA?? THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!

Well, at least someone still thinks Coleman will be “reelected.”

Ryan, has anyone checked to see if Angry Al Franken, Inc. is still operating in the other 16 states he cheated on his taxes. (Or the State of New York, where he failed to carry Work Comp on his employees)

It’s just one more example of the business climate being poor here. Even the “Senator Elect” doesn’t want anything to do with doing business here.

Why would Al be angry if he just won a 6 year term in the United States Senate?

    Can anybody explain that?

  8. Pete F Says:

danbrome, it is the “if” part of your comment that makes Al angry.

    No need to thank me.

danbrome, why is Al Franken so angry?

Here is a website devoted to that question …

    Game over.

I hope Norman is asking his PR/Lawyer team to explain the media coverage in the morning. Note to the former senator: you will be laughed at even further if you keep this up. Minnesotans want a senator seated. As painful as that may be to you, you should concede after the ballots are opened April 7.
