PIONEER PRESS BLOG: “COUNTING BALLOTS IN THE SENATE RACE?”
By Michael B. Brodkorb | June 9, 2009
FYI – Media reaction from yesterday’s post.
###
“Republican blogger Michael Brodkorb is working to start a count of uncounted absentee ballots cast in the Senate race by requesting copies, or a count of, all the rejected ballots from seven counties and five cities.
His request asks not for the ballot envelopes but the ballots themselves. He believes the ballots themselves, as long as they are detached from their envelopes, are public data.
But even he admits that any count he gets, if he gets the data, would come accompanied by a “giant asterisks.” That’s because, without the envelopes, he wouldn’t be in a position to know whether the individuals who cast the ballots comported with even the most basic requirements of absentee ballots. He could not check, for instance, whether those who cast the ballots were registered. Without that information, it’s not clear to this reporter what practical value the information would have — except for spin purposes.
You can read more about his request on his blog, Minnesota Democrats Exposed.
His request, which he is in the process of making, will go to the Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Olmsted, Sherburne and Washington counties and the cities of Edina, Minnetonka, Orono and Plymouth. All of those counties and cities but Hennepin gave the majority of their votes to Republican Norm Coleman.” Source: Political Animal, June 8, 2009

chirp…chirp…chirp
Nothing but crickets here.
Such a strong story. Why isn’t anyone sounding the alarm? Oh yeah. That’s right. Stunts are not stories.
Wake me when you do something meaningful.

brome,
That’s right, I’ve been laughing ever since you claimed you were a moderate, a listener of Rush and a viewer of Fox News.

Chris, I laugh whenever danmbrome denies that he stated this:
“Regarding my new boyfriend, I suggest you find a way to explain it to my wife …”
