The goal? Defeat Democrats. The party leadership needs to understand that and so does everyone else.

Going negative is an effective strategy, but one that always has it’s risks. Al Franken did have a lot of liabilities, and I can’t say with any confidence at all that it would have been good politics to ignore them. My problem with both candidates is that neither one seemed to enjoy being candidates. Both came off as a couple of sourpusses. In future, let’s have a little fun out there guys.

Senator Coleman lost this election because of his own actions during the campaign. All he had to do was run a nice, fairly clean campaign and he would have walked all over the comedian. Instead he campaigned against the comedian as if he was a credible threat and in doing so gave the comedian credibility.

I have supported Norm Coleman since he became a Republican. I didn’t always agree wtih him but I strongly believe a weak Republican is better than a Democrat any day. If Republican’s would have come out in force Norm would have won but too many Republican’s will not support someone they do not agree with 100% of the time.

Until that changes we will fail. This must and will change for 2010.

Still, the Supreme Court made the correct decision today. Norm handled the recount stupidly. That the deck was stacked against him didn’t matter.

On the upside, I figure so long as our second senator isn’t going to represent a scintilla of my values or priorities — or Minnesota’s for that matter — it may as well be Franken… who never said he would in the first place.

Franken (D-NY) told me he’d be a fascist pile of shit. I trust him.

Fuck Al Franken. I hate that piece of shit, and everything he and his fascist friends stand for.

Also, Franken moved his radio show from New York to Minneapolis in it’s last year only because he decided to run for Senate. He’s a fraud.

Yeah, what a positive message. Keep it going “chile”. I could also go down the line with Norm’s personal issues but won’t. He’s a dog that is down, much like the the GOP and its elected governors.

Franken is a tax-cheat who also failed to cover his employees with work comp. He’s a porn writer who thinks rape is funny. He cheated a boys/girls club out of money and stiffed his employees at Air America.

Franken is a typical limousine liberal full of contempt for the United States of America, who has a total disregard for working Americans.

I have taken my shots, and like whack-a-mole at the fair, I will take more if he ever dares pop his head up again, but for the time being, he has been this state’s senator for the past six years, and for that, he deserves our gratitude.

Grams knows something about losing a bid for a second term. Grams pointed to Norm caving into the greenies and voting no on drilling in ANWAR – that earned him no votes from the left and cost him support on the right.
