THAT’S ALL FOLKS!

By Michael B. Brodkorb | June 30, 2009

This is my last post on Minnesota Democrats Exposed, as tomorrow I will begin serving as the Deputy Chair of the Republican Party of Minnesota. It has been a tremendous ride and I can't begin to express my appreciation for all of the people that have visited Minnesota Democrats Exposed since July '04.  I want to thank Mrs. MDE and my extended family for being supportive (and very patient) of my blogging.

Minnesota Democrats Exposed is not shutting down and will continue to serve as a platform to expose Minnesota Democrats. Ryan Flynn, who has done a tremendous job of blogging, will be joined by Aaron Cocking tomorrow as a new additional to Minnesota Democrats Exposed. New bloggers will be added over the coming weeks, but those decisions will be made by Ryan and Aaron, as I will have no editorial role in Minnesota Democrats Exposed. The keys to the store have been handed over to the new tenants.

It really started to hit me in the last few hours that I wouldn't be blogging anymore on Minnesota Democrats Exposed and I will miss it everyday.  But the time has come to move on and I couldn't be happier with the new opportunities I have in my life.

Thanks again for stopping by over the last five years and reading my posts and I hope you continue reading Minnesota Democrats Exposed.

Farewell Michael and thanks for creating a great forum for exposing Democrats. Good luck in your new role.

Welcome Aaron. Keep in mind that when the moonbats criticize you and say how much better it was with MBB – it’s proof you’re doing a good job.

    Michael,

Over the past 5 years your Blog has grown to become the “must read” of the Minnesota political community. While others may step in and thrive, you can never truly be replaced.

Good luck at the State Party and Congratulations!

Thanks for the “ride” Micheal. This is one of my few daily reads. I hope the new new “management” does as well.

The best of luck to you in your future endeavors. I do regret that we will never see your promised post about your blogging lowlights (plural). I must say that I am a bit confused as to why you must cease blogging, as this was never a problem with your past positions with the Republican Party of Minnesota and various Republican campaigns.

Good luck, Michael, and if the other liberals around here don’t echo the sentiment, it’s because they don’t know how lucky they are to have you. In today’s America, deeply divided by an absurd two party system that forces us to fight our brothers, we need people who are passionate and driven to make our country the best it can be. I strongly disagree with your ideology but I’ve never doubted your merits. Again, best of luck and I’m sure we’ll meet again.

MDE is a daily read for the last five years and will continue to be. Bravo zulu, Michael – too bad I don’t know the opposite of that phrase for your new role as Deputy Chair! With your passion and drive, I look forward to the MNGOP reshaping and regrouping.

Best of luck to you — and to Ryan and Aaron as they keep the light shining strong on the DFL.

[...] Much fanfare has been made on the other side of the aisle about GOP activist/operative/consultant/blogger Michael Brodkorb’s decision to leave Minnesota Democrats Exposed. [...]
