SUTTON ON FRANKEN: “THIS GUY’S GOT A BIGGER ASTERISK NEXT TO HIS NAME THAN BARRY BONDS”

By Ryan Flynn | July 1, 2009

As Democrats celebrated Al Franken's long-delayed U.S. Senate victory, Republicans were still criticizing the court ruling that gave him the seat.

State GOP Chairman Tony Sutton says he thinks the Minnesota Supreme Court was wrong in its ruling against Norm Coleman. Sutton told reporters today that he's convinced the inconsistent handling of absentee ballots disenfranchised thousands of Minnesota voters. Coleman conceded to Franken shortly after Tuesday's ruling. But Sutton said many Republicans are ticked off that Franken won.

"The feeling among the activists that I've talked to even in the last 24 hours, Republican leaders around the state, is we got robbed," Sutton said. "And this guy's got a bigger asterisk next to his name than Barry Bonds. We got to work. This will be a motivator for us in the coming election."  Source: MPR Polinaut, July 1, 2009.

Great line from the new party Chairman!

    bigger than say…Sutton’s pants?
    I don’t think so.

This is what we are to expect from the Republicans- it won’t fly with the people for more electoral victories but, it’ll fill your pages here.

Since this blog is frequented by loyal Republicans and Democrats who just want to upset the apple cart it doesn’t really matter. There are many readers of this site but I suspect most of them are not going to be swayed one way or the other by the posts from people like you and me.

The real benefit of this site is that it brings attention to stories that occasionaly get picked up by the MSM because it was first reported on this site.

If it keeps you focused on this it will make it easier to slip by you on the way to victory in the next election.

Plain and simple, Sutton is a crybaby.

His statements represent the sore loser wing of the GOP, the group that won’t accept the consistent judgements against Former Senator Coleman’s case.

For crying out loud, where is the respect for our legal system? Why does a blowhard like Sutton trump the judgements of the CB, the 3 judge panel, and the Minnesota Supreme Court?

Plain and simple, danbrome is a liberal.

Where is the respect for our legal system? Where was Al Franken’s respect for the legal system when he cheated on his taxes in 17 states and failed to carry work comp for his employees.

Liberal danbrome, Sutton is not claiming he trumps the decisions of the courts – you fool.

Unfortunately for you asshats, Tony Sutton doesn’t determine disputed elections in Minnesota, the Supreme Court does. Suck on it, baby!

Chile- Don’t blame Brome for the Franken victory, blame all of the knot-heads in the state who voted for him! Also, blame Coleman for being a lousy Senator who let conservative Republicans down on numerous votes over the last 6 years. Yes, I know the recount process was very suspicious, but don’t you think even one of the members of the State Supreme Court would see it your way. Good riddance to Norm!!

DJZ, lay off the personal attacks. In America today most people have a weight issue to some degree. I certainly do…hows your paunch pancho!
Anyways Tony Sutton is nice looking clean cut sophisticated good man, smart and decent and kind. He works hard and believes in his work. You should apologize to all the women and girls Men and boys who related issues. About 66% of Americans have weight problems to some degree and you should feel ashamed of yourself to use this cheap slight. I would say its discrimination. You libs are good at that.

Focused on 2010 you left out that MN Democrats Exposed is now listed in the DSM4: DSM IV,( Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) under addictions. You see this interactive product allows true opinions to be shared. It is in the vein of what news reporters say off the air, off the record. People have common sense news though is product (that is unavoidable). Perception and reality are closer in most peoples minds than what appears in the diluted PC news. Again PC has its place, but to pretend other views don’t exsist is fantasy. Thi ssight is a tool to unweave false fantasies that prop up politics that destroy freedom and liberty to express exactly what I am expressing now.

Save the after school special speech for your class. You have yet to reel in the snakes like Chestnut and TJSwift.

Look at Fat Tony as a term of endearment like, Angry Al or Keith Hakim, or Big MAK, or any other stupid names I read on here.

Unless, you are Fat Tony Suttono.

DJZ your party soon fill make your statement a crime. Oh, you won’t care because no one will enforce th enew hate speech laws against you? Ignorance is bliss. The Republican party DJZ will allow you to call any one fat you want to even phat if you will. Your party (Dems) are for (freedom against freedom). Thank god in America when we hav ethese temperal inbalances they eventually correct themselves. The Dem’s have over reached. I will enjoy watching your party shrink these next few years. Youe party is ensuring only 35% of the newborns born today will vote for the party that destroyed free enterprise and a free life and the burden of a 25 Trillion dollar debt. Ask people if they are happy with the democrats? Keep asking and write journal entries every few days. Then report. I’m open to hearing those entries.

  19. Proud Republican Says:
    July 3rd, 2009 at 10:06 PM

Al Franken is the best thing that has happened for the GOP in these hard times. I’m wagering that the winds be a blowing towards the right since we have just capsized to the left. The middle way likes good (a little to th right is good). The democrats political center is morphing into a certain course of enfoldment if you will. The Chinese will make sure Americans get the old work ethic pattern revved up. America won’t let it’s country be self-defeated. Your party is toast…you may laugh but look at Enron and Bear Stearns Fannie and Freddie. Th eDem’s are way more out of control than thos institutions. Flash in the pan all my delusional friends. Boy it feels good to vent against elements of are society that make me sick. By th eway President Obama is doing fine work concerning voucher programs and holding the education unions acountable. I love seeing them go to the streets as if they though Bush was still in office.
