FRANKEN* MAKES SIXTY

By Aaron Cocking | July 8, 2009

Al Franken* would like the people of Minnesota to believe that he doesn’t care about being the 60th Democrat vote in the United States Senate.  It appears as if Franken* and his Democratic politicial allies care a great deal.

“Democrats were thrilled to finally seat Franken as senator from Minnesota after an eight-month legal and political battle against GOP incumbent Norm Coleman — and to lord him like a trophy over the limping GOP.” Source: Associated Press,  July 7, 2009.

“At a Tuesday evening reception, the AFL-CIO embraced what some call the magic number.   Reception placards many carried had ’60 in the Senate’ and Franken’s photo on one side, and a copy of Franken’s election certificate on the other. When Franken spoke to union leaders and other supporters, he was backed by a massive blow up of the number 60 inside a starburst circle.  ‘What a great day. Sixty in the Senate is finally here,’ said Richard Trumka, secretary/treasurer of the powerful union.”  Source: The Pioneer Press, July 7, 2009.

Franken* makes sixty, and sixty takes away a workers right to a private vote …

“The bill (The Employee Free Choice Act) has been stalled in the Senate because supporters have struggled to corral the needed 60 votes to overcome a filibuster. Franken(*), however, could now be pivotal in helping to move the legislation forward.”

    What’s the ‘*’ for, I don’t see any footnote?

    Flash, excellent question.

The * in Franken stands for a long list of *s.

    * Elected, but we’ll never know who got the most votes because he and Ritchie effectively fought ballots from being counted.

    * Endorsed by DFL, even though he was caught cheating on his taxes in 17 states.

    * Endorsed by DFL, even though he failed to carry work comp for his employees.

    * Endorsed by DFL, because they were so impressed with Porn-o-rama.

    * Endorsed by DFL, because he is so witty when it come to making light of rape.

    * Endorsed by DFL, as they liked the way he tried to stiff a boy/girls club out of money.

    * Endorsed by DFL, because when he failed to pay his radio employees – he made sure he still was paid. They liked how he sets his priorities.

Sit back and enjoy the Franken Senate seat show! The man loves attention and he is just itching to rouse up the liberal roost. The man is so untalented it amazes me. He is not funny. His books that he wrote with a team of Harvard grad research students I could have written in two months by myself. He is so average, boring and intellectualy lazy it boggles the mind. I think many Minnesotans are mind boggles as well. Maybe that should be the next polling question: Has Franken’s taking of the United States Senate Seat
caused you to feel at some level mind boggled?

    Proud..

    With all due respect..

You have every right to criticize Senator Franken. However your incredibly thoughtless rhetoric is ridiculous.

Any candidate who runs for the United States Senate and wins the most votes deserves a chance to prove himself. Why can’t you be fair and give him a chance?
