CONGRESSWOMAN BACHMANN ON HANNITY
By Aaron Cocking | July 9, 2009
Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann was on Hannity last night discussing TARP funds and the possibility of a new bailout. When asked about the possibility of a new bailout Bachmann said this; “It is entirely possible it could pass because remember Minnesota delivered the 60th Senator just yesterday with Al Franken taking the oath of office.  We can’t underscore that enough. Democrats are trying to downplay the story but the fact is… every level of power in Washington D.C. is dominated by one party rule. The Democrats control everything.” Source: Hannity July 8, 2009. Watch the entire interview below, this question occurs at the 4:13 mark on the clip.

It’s all true. Democrats can do anything they want to… and they have been. They’re not interested in bi-partisan support… or even bi-partisan opinion. They’ve made it very clear that it’s their way or the highway, no matter how unpopular their proposals are with the public.
Conservatives are right to make it abundantly clear that Democrats absolutely own the mess they’ve created.
In fact, on all of controversial measures before them, conservatives should simply vote no.
And on the worst measures — the global warming nonsense and the socialization of health care — they should walk out completely and refuse to be part of the charade.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:09 pm
chestnut..
You made 4 points, and all 4 are bogus.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:17 pm
All four points are spot-on. It’s not really my problem you’re too blinded by fascist rage to see facts, danbrome.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:20 pm
Being the Party of NO will not be enough to rebuild the GOP. Sorry, but that is reality.
The GOP needs fresh leadership and A MESSAGE OTHER THAN KICKING AND SCREAMING AND VOTING NO.
In addition, I’m afraid it’s not very smart to be cheering for our Country to fail. It feels good, but it will not fire up voters to join in.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:21 pm
Not spot on, not even close. Think about it.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:28 pm
Democrats alone created the mess? LOL
July 9th, 2009 at 10:29 pm
“Being the Party of NO will not be enough to rebuild the GOP.”
Bullshit. Going along with the fascist, anti-American bullshit the Democrats are pulling is wrong for the country.
Walking out and making sure every American knows exactly what is happening and exactly who is responsible is exactly what an opposition party that is being bullied and abused should do.
“The GOP needs fresh leadership and A MESSAGE OTHER THAN KICKING AND SCREAMING AND VOTING NO.”
What’s the point. The Fascists in control aren’t allowing conservative voices to be heard. Best to walk out and not be party to the charade.
Democrats own this mess. It is entirely of their making.
“In addition, I’m afraid it’s not very smart to be cheering for our Country to fail.”
Now who on earth has done that? Nobody. We’re cheering for the anti-American policies of fascist Democrats to fail.
We’re very clear on the record in that regard, you silly, stupid fascist liar, danbrome.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:31 pm
It’s really quite fully to listen to Fascist Democrats, who literally cheered for American soldiers to be killed in battle, to twist words that anyone else has cheered for the country to fail.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:31 pm
The GOP is so void of leadership it’s funny. I think I’ll just sit back and enjoy it.
Can you argue otherwise? Honestly?
July 9th, 2009 at 10:31 pm
“Democrats alone created the mess?”
Yes. Democrats and nobody else.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:32 pm
“The GOP is so void of leadership”
The GOP is a fucking joke. I’m talking about conservatives, not the DFL-light.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
chestnut..
Surely you do not refer to me. If you do, you are a lying blowhard.
danbrome is proud of the honor shown by every member of the military, whether they are on the front line, or in support roles. I pray for them and their families daily, and hope they can return in good health.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:39 pm
I agree, the GOP is a joke.
Care to mention who might be the leader of the conservatives then?
July 9th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
Liberal danbrome, Democrats to full control of Congress in January of 2007.
Unemployment: Dec 2006 – 4.4%, June 2009 – 9.5%
DJIA: Year End 2006 – $12,463 , Today – $8,183
The democrats have been f-ing up the economy since early 2007. I challenge you to provide evidence to the contrary.
July 9th, 2009 at 10:50 pm
Liberal danbrome, who is the “leader” of the Democrats? Is is it Obama?

July 9th, 2009 at 10:53 pm
There is plenty of blame to go around Chestnut. I think deep down inside you realize this. However, your stunted communication skills don’t allow for open and honest discussion.
The Congress has screwed things up royally at times, but remember, there are not 535 Democrats in the Congress, and never have been.
If you want to talk about a “my way or the highway” leadership style, I’m afraid we all remember the Gold Medalist, that would be the Republicans since January 2001.
Working together is difficult when Republicans hunker down and just know one word.. NO NO NO.
I wish them luck with the strategy going into 2010.
July 9th, 2009 at 11:01 pm
Yes.
Democrat Obama is the President of the United States of America.
July 9th, 2009 at 11:32 pm
Obama is leader of the country, you don’t like it? Leave. Although the only country that would be willing to take Republicans are so shitty, more of these chicken-hawks wouldn’t survive five minutes.
Republicans, we’re still cleaning up your mess. The Presidency if four years for a reason, it takes more than six months to reverse eight years of mismanagement.
Showing a decline from January is dishonest if you don’t show that decline began before that.
Most importantly, its a semantics game that only works with the low information voter who are already in the Republican camp, and don’t understand it anyway. Their issues are abortion, guns and no mexicans or blacks. That’s their base.
July 9th, 2009 at 11:34 pm
Liberal danbrome, who is the lead of the Demcrats?
(I did not ask who the President of the USA is?)

July 9th, 2009 at 11:44 pm
DJZ, That’s January 2007. You now when the current Democrat control of congress began.
September 2006: Unemployment – 4.5% (4.4% three months later)
September 29, 2006: DJIA – $11,679 ($12,463 three months later)
Thing were going good in the fourth quarter of 06. Democrats began f-ing everything up in 2007.
July 10th, 2009 at 12:25 am
DJZ,
You forget that since Obama was elected, he has signed over $2 trillion in spending into law, including TARP II and the $787 bill that was supposed to stimulate the economy. The money from the stimulus bill has inexplicably not even gone out the door (the bill was passed with virtually no debate and Members of Congress didn’t even have ample time to read what was in the bill) and the administration is talking about another stimulus bill. There is no doubt that we’re in the Obama economy now and it’s getting worse. He is repeating the same failed Carter policies that led to double-digit unemployment and stagflation.
July 10th, 2009 at 12:30 am
dambrone,
STOP REFERRING TO YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON, IT’S OBNOXIOUS.
I think it’s wonderful if you pray for our troops. But it’s a stretch to say you honor them when you don’t appreciate their sacrifice in Iraq. You admit that you think the U.S. would be better off with Saddam in power. Our troops in Iraq disagree.
I’d also note that Democrats control the committees and which bills make it to the floor of both the House and the Senate. The least you can do is take responsibility for the failures of what your party has passed. We’ve spent over $2 trillion (including a $787 billion stimulus bill which cost more than the Iraq war) since Obama was elected and unemployment is still rising, consumer confidence is shaken and the future looks bleak for months and perhaps years. So much for Hope and Change.
July 10th, 2009 at 12:44 am
Liberal danbrome, are you proud of past members of the military as well?
What do you think about the years-long attack on GWB’s service in the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve?
July 10th, 2009 at 9:24 am
Bachman says, “every level of power in Washington D.C. is dominated by one party rule. The Democrats control everything.â€
UGH! I’m so tired of hearing this whining. Yes, it’s true. And how do you think that happened? The American people chose to vote this way. Are you so clueless and dense that you can’t get the hint we (the collective voting public) sent you? No. Instead, you make comments like that that are condescending and make it sound like it is our fault for voting that way. You know what? Attitudes like that aren’t going to win you any support.
If the GOP want’s to get back in control, their message needs to change to something more like this: “We don’t agree with the direction things are going. Here are the reasons why we think things are going that way, and here are some solutions that we think would work better.
Instead, they fill their day complaining about everything and offering nothing as alternatives.
Why don’t you talk up your positives instead of always being so negative about everyoen else?
July 10th, 2009 at 9:28 am
Chestnut, yout post #8 is totally baseless. Show me ONE person who ever wished an american soldier to die? Take your rants over to the Fox Nation.
July 10th, 2009 at 10:08 am
Jane Fonda
July 10th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
Fonda did not say such a thing either. When you were told to take your bs over the FOX where its news, that didn’t mean to bring it back here.
Dummy said:
What do you think about the years-long attack on GWB’s service in the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve?
——
Al Gore
John Kerry
Rahm Emmanuel
Colin Powell
John McCain
Chuck Hagel
Max Cleland
Tim Walz
Stever Sarvi
All the above have been attacked by the Right downplaying their military service because either they ran for office against republicans, or were republicans who stood against a single issue, or in the case of Powell, endorsed another candidate on national tv.
That’s politics over country.
July 10th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
“Chestnut, yout post #8 is totally baseless. Show me ONE person who ever wished an american soldier to die?”
Are you kidding me? You apparently never went to one of the fascist’s anti-war rallies… You obviously also haven’t seen the videos and footage of anti-war demonstrators burning soldiers in efige, or the signs encouraging terrorists to cut their heads off.
Sorry you missed all the fun. But something tells me you’re just lying… that, after all, is how you fascist, anti-American, tyrant coddling traitors roll.
July 10th, 2009 at 3:49 pm
Here’s why your idiots were attacked, DJZ:
Al Gore — Daddy got him a cush job
John Kerry — became a traitor who conspired with the communists to defeat the U.S. in Vietnam
Rahm Emmanuel — is an asshole
Colin Powell — has never been attacked for his service
John McCain — has only been attacked by Democrats for his service
Max Cleland — is a dumb shit who lost his legs juggling hand grenades, and was only attacked for the FACT that he opposed legislation that would improve national security.
Tim Walz — abandoned his troops when called to war, and became a fascist lap-dog
Stever Sarvi — who?
July 10th, 2009 at 3:50 pm
You’re a liar, DJZ… But we already knew that… that, after all, is how you fascist, anti-American, tyrant coddling traitors roll.
July 10th, 2009 at 6:36 pm
You are one vile little man Chestnut. You use mustache wax, don’t you?
Powell was first attacked in 1995 by republicans, when it was rumored he was looking at running for President.
Then after he endorsed Obama, Limbaugh and every dumb ditto head attacked him.
Gore’s Daddy got him a job? Not a very good one since he was actually in Vietnam.
You know who else had a daddy that got him a job? W. Bush who got a plum position in the Air Guard that he skipped out on early.
Kerry was also boots on the ground and getting shot at, and shooting back while Bush was serving his country doing jello-shots on San Padre Island.
Republicans went after McCain’s sanity and tried to pin him as angry and flawed because of his internment. Of course with the GOPers, it worked and the War Hero we know as George W Bush became the nominee.
You’re an uptight little angry man Chestnut. Since you obviously have no woman, I suggest you go into your bathroom in that double-wide and jerk off a bit to release some of the frustration. I’d suggest that you try being a success instead of a failure in life but, for you, masturbation would be quicker and just about all you can handle.
July 10th, 2009 at 7:36 pm
AC:
The Republicans have proposed alternatives. For example for a stimlus package it was proposed instead of spenind $700 billion to have a tax holliday where individuals and businesses didn’t have to pay taxes until August 2009. That would’ve provided an immediate stimulus and unemployment wouldn’t have jumped to 9.5%.
The Republicans did put up an alternative to the energy tax bill that would promote coal, nuclear, and oil use to lower energy prices and to provide true energy indepence.
The problem AC is that if you assume there are 15-20 million people who make a point to find out what the Republicans are proposing (an estimate based on people who listen to part of one of the most popular national talk shows during the week) you still have a minimum of 35-45 million people who didn’t vote for Obama not tuned in hearing about alternatives. After all the media call it cap and trade instead of telling how it will destroy the country’s future energy resources.
The Republicans major problem isn’t alternatives it’s getting the public to know that they have made them (something which you’re not aware of) so the public will support them.

Danbourne:
Excuse me, but that was what the Democrats were with President Bush. They kept saying no to his proposals and attacked him twenty-four hours a day.
Obama never came out with any new dramatic proposals. All he did was propose the same old stupid democrat proposals. What happened is that the public didn’t want to win a war on terror anymore and the public thought the democrats should be put in charge of the economy to save it.
A bunch of people in 2009 have alread realized that this isn’t what they voted for in 2008. They thought they were voting for a President who was going to restrain spending and get the budget deficit (remember that talk about how he would go through the budget line by line to get rid of wasteful spending). If the election were held today Obama wouldn’t win Ohio. There’s a good chance he wouldn’t win any of the nine states that he won in 2008 which George Bush carried in 2004.
Keep one other thing in mind the person who is saying “No” looks a lot smarter than a person who is arguing for a policy that people might not like. In 2007 and 2008 Obama was scoring points and becoming popular by saying that Gitmo must be close. That there must be no military trials. In 2009 Obama has in part decided to do the policies of George Bush because the alternative of just letting these people free are horrible. something which Obama didn’t have to care about in 2007 and and 2008, but has to care about now in 2009.
Be the part of “No” and saying a policy is stupid is the first step that Republicans have to take to lead the comeback. They won’t come back by joining in on wasteful spending just ask Arlen Specter who realized he was going to be a former Senator once the Republican primary in PA rolled around so that’s why he joined the democrats.

DJZ, Al Gore was a journalist is Viet Nam. His mom wanted him to go to Canada, but Al Sr. was up for re-election and the thought that wouldn’t look good.
There’s your politics over country DJZ.
Colin Powell’s served was never attacked, until he joined the GWB administration. CNN ran hours of programming which painted Powell as a trouble maker in the military.
July 11th, 2009 at 1:03 am
djz seems to have a ‘thing’ for chestnut.
djz also proves he’s nothing but a typical liberal facist – attempting to denigrate and ’shout down’ anyone that proves him wrong.
July 11th, 2009 at 2:09 am
Good point. Why would DJZ ask, “You use mustache wax, don’t you?” Worried about a little tickle?
DJZ prefers men who shave.
I believe that liberal danbrome, DJZ, and AC don’t want U.S Soldiers to die. At least not until they’ve the chance to spit on them.
Jane Fonda: Can’t says she ever stated she wanted American Soldiers to die, but she took part in an effort to kill them. Fonda called American Soldiers liars, for claiming the Viet Cong tortured them. She also took part in photo-ops, as part of the Viet Cong’s proganda.
July 11th, 2009 at 9:17 am
“Powell was first attacked in 1995 by republicans, when it was rumored he was looking at running for President.”
Bullshit. Democrats attacked him, probably because he’s black and was a Republican.
Besides, you lying, fascist sack of shit — you said they attacked his military career.
Double-Bullshit.
July 11th, 2009 at 9:20 am
“Gore’s Daddy got him a job? Not a very good one since he was actually in Vietnam.”
Yeah, his daddy got him a nice job in Vietnam… carrying a camera for about 3 months. Gore’s a fucking moron.
“You know who else had a daddy that got him a job? W. Bush who got a plum position in the Air Guard that he skipped out on early.”
Another LIE. … well, two of them actually.
“Kerry was also boots on the ground and getting shot at…”
… before coming home and lying about his experience, and collaborating with the Vietnam Communists to defeat the U.S. in Vietnam…
“Republicans went after McCain’s sanity and tried to pin him as angry and flawed because of his internment.”
Why are you citing Obama’s campaign strategy? That’s what YOU fascist pricks did in 2008.
DJZ: Dishonest, FASCIST jerk-wad.

RE: Jane Fonda
I guess you had to be there to understand.
Sincerely,

July 11th, 2009 at 6:43 pm
DJZ is a ‘Jane Fonda’ wannabe.
Not all National Guard positions were ‘plum jobs’ during the Vietnam war. My dad’s ANG unit was called up by LBJ and sent to Vietnam where they lost several members. Even though I was very young then, I realized that Jane was a traitor to her country and still believe it to this day.
July 11th, 2009 at 11:47 pm
chestnut..
Are there any Democrats who aren’t fascist pricks?
You answer will say a lot about your integrity, and your lack of honor.
July 11th, 2009 at 11:59 pm
danbrome – sure there are demo’s that aren’t facists – but mostly because they are sheeple – they vote for the DFL because they are in a union or because that’s the way they always have voted.
I have a very good friend that is probably more conservative than I am, but he votes DFL every election just because it’s the ‘union’ thing to do.
July 12th, 2009 at 1:22 am
Liberal danbrome, fascism is a cornerstone of today’s Democrat Party. A vote for a Democrat is a vote for fascism.
July 12th, 2009 at 6:47 pm
chile..
You are clueless about Democrats.
July 12th, 2009 at 8:16 pm
Liberal danbrome, please list three issues where you do not hold a fascist position.
July 12th, 2009 at 9:15 pm
OK, I’ll throw you a bone.
Please name one issue where I do hold a fascist position.
Be honest now…
July 12th, 2009 at 10:52 pm
The EFCA. Now answer my question, Liberal danbrome.
July 12th, 2009 at 11:48 pm
DJZ,
Colin Powell is not a Republican. You cannot claim to be a Republican when you endorse the most liberal candidate for president since Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society over a real moderate Republican, John McCain, and still be a Republican. Can you name a single political position Colin Powell holds let alone a single Republican position Powell supports?
July 13th, 2009 at 2:34 pm
chris..
I’m curious..
Do you too think danbrome is a fascist? If so, can you explain how you arrived that that distortion?
July 13th, 2009 at 3:42 pm
DAMBRONE,
STOP FRIGGING REFERRING TO YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON. IT’S FRIGGING OBNOXIOUS. And if you don’t undersrand what in the third person means, consult a tenth-grade English teacher (but not one in Minneapolis) and he or she will explain it to you.
I’m not going to engage in your views because you refuse to be honest in describing your beliefs. I do not for one minute think you are a moderate. You do not support moderate candidates, therefore you cannot be a moderate. You are a liberal and I think it’s your duty to defend whether or not you’re also a fascist. I have no obligation to get involved with this issue one way or the other. Thanks very much.
July 13th, 2009 at 4:39 pm
I wonder who wins the fight when ‘moderate’ danbrome has an arguement with ‘facist’ danbrome.
July 13th, 2009 at 10:34 pm
The only way you guys can justify your existence is to call me names. That’s fine, call me a fascist all you want.
What keeps me entertained is your assertion that you think danbrome is a leftist fascist pig. You have no clue about my moderate positions.
Have any more unjustified insults to throw my way?
July 14th, 2009 at 12:39 am
Liberal danbrome, you have no moderate positions.
Feel free to prove me wrong.
July 14th, 2009 at 12:51 am
dambrone,
Danbrome has no clue about danbrome’s moderate positions because danbrome is not a moderate. One cannot claim to be a moderate and support every far-left liberal from Paul Wellstone to Barack Obama to Al Franken. AND STOP REFERRING TO YOURSELF IN THE THIRD PERSON LIKE A LITTLE CHILD. You are a petulant little child and my insults are justified by your behaviour on this board.
July 14th, 2009 at 10:08 pm
“Are there any Democrats who aren’t fascist pricks?”
Amy Klobuchar doesn’t appear to be a fascist or a prick. I kinda like her, actually.
And you’re right. That probably does speak volumes about my honor.
Danbrome: FACSIST PRICK
July 15th, 2009 at 4:28 pm
Is FACSIST a word? What does it mean?
